Photoshop :: After Upgrading To Version 14.1 CC Shows Several CMD Windows During Load
Sep 10, 2013
after upgrading to version 14.1 CC, Photoshop shows several CMD windows during load. It stops on the third one, showing this:
Â
Finally, a pop-up error windows says clc.exe stopped working (you can see that on the photo). I'm running on Windows 7, 64 bit.
Â
The crash message reports this:

Everything worked just fine before the update. Problems started right after upgrading.
I am a student right now and I am taking a class to learn how to use my new DSLR. I will probably never be a professional photographer but plan on avidly pursuing this hobby. I was thinking of purchasing an academic version of Photoshop CS3.
My question is: When a new version of photoshop comes out (for example CS4) will I be able to purchase the upgrade version if I own the academic version of cs3 or will I have to purchase the full version?
When upgrading to a newer version of PS (ps7 -> pscs), would i need to transfer all my saved files (projects, brushes, styles, actions, etc...) manually (drag and drop method), or would the installation/setup process do everything for me?
I'm afraid that if i do decide to upgrade to CS and need to transfer all my files, i might unknowingly miss an essential folder and lose it forever when uninstalling the older version.
(or does the setup/installation take care of getting rid of the older version, too?)
I updated CS4 (student version) to CS5.5 commercial version. The brushes, patterns, shapes and styles I had installed in the CS4 Photoshop version were not loaded into the new version. I no longer have the original files of these assets (or customizations). Â How can I load these in the updated version?
I was planning on trying out the windows 7 RC on my laptop but had a quick question before i did. My laptops currently configured in such a way that i can install 7 as an "upgrade" rather then a complete new install, keeping my programs and files intact. However, I remember in the past from when I first installed vista, if i tried to launch photoshop from a different partition(eg, photoshop is installed on the XP partition but i'm using vista), it would fail with an error saying something to the effect that licensing had stopped working. Will this happen if i "upgrade", or should I just install 7 on a different partition to be safe?
I use a couple of systems for CS and LR only. They are running Windows Vista (Home Edition). I wanted to sign up for creative cloud, but the service tells me that Windows 7 (or 8) is supported, not Vista. If I upgrade my PC to Windows 7, will the current versions of CS6 and LR 4.4 still work? Or, do I have to buy a new version.
I made the upgrade to Windows 8 and now several PS plugins causes Photoshop CS6 to "Stop Working And need to close". I have uninstalled and reinstalled plugins and still the same problem. As this happens with different plugins from different vendors I am led to believe this is not a 3rd party problem, but rather a problem with PS in win8. Happens with plugins from Niksoft and RedGiant. Needless to say I have all the latest software and updates - legally purchased.
I just upgraded my 3 year old Dell XPS 16 which came with a AMD (ATI) Radeon HD 5730 (1GB) graphics card to Windows 8 (along with a new SSD hard drive), and reinstalled CS6, and now I get messages that the program is no longer detecting my dedicated graphics card. I updated the drivers from both Dell and AMD, and I get the same result. The Graphics Processor Seting box is greyed out in Preferences, and it says it detected an error in my display driver. Everything was fine with the same graphics card under Windows 7. Â I suspect that when Windows 8 was installed it installed a generic AMD driver, and even though I have updated it from Dell and AMD several times, something is not quite right because I can't find the AMD Catalyst Control Center. So it might be a WIndows 8 & AMD issue, but I don't really know for sure. Â how to get the graphics driver working properly for CS6
After Upgrading from windows 7 to windows 8 photos are not displayed in Photoshop CS6. When I open a photo in the bridge, it is displayed properly in Camera Raw and can be developed there.
After opening the photo in Photoshop 6 then, everything looks good, but the photo is not visible. I can save it and even export it (to jpeg for example), but it is not visible.
When I try to use the brush tool when in Actions, an outlined version of my watermark shows up on my image instead of the brush applying the Action. I do not know what I did but it is super frustrating... how do I remove?Â
I am using a competitor product for video editing and now I am looking for a new product since the support there was really bad. I tried the testversion of Videostudio X4 and downloaded the recommended file from the website which is the german version. I installed it on a XP 32 Bit machine and also on a Vista Ultimate 32 Bit machine.
In both cases the first dialogs (welcome and registration) after running the program are in Chinese language. Now, the problems are:
- Although I can translate the contents by google translator I do not register the program in this case. I don't know what is comming up after that.
- The Corel support does not do anything when you don't specify a registered product.
trying to load CS4 trial but get a message that Adobe stops working during software load up. Have tried turning off UAC, have removed files from programfiles as suggested in various other trails for this error to no avail.
I have upgraded from Win XP to 8.1 by buying a new machine. I have a valid copy of elements 11 on DVD. This was upgraded from elements 8 which was downloaded and those files have been lost. Windows 8.1 will not read the DVD. Â How can I get PSE11 onto the new machine?
I just downloaded the trail version of CS5 however it did not load my scanner/camera/and filters that I have on my CS3 version will I need to reinstall them or will they load after I pay for it? I am using xp as the os
Mudbox 2012 SP3/2013 SP2 Linux version freezes at 99% when generate maps and shows Tangents calculating ...
Not sure about Windows version but Linux versions (2012/2013) on my computer have this issue. The actually maps can be generated even it freezes at 99% and shows Tangents calculating... However, it is very annoying because I have to force Mudbox to quit everytime at this step.I even tested with a simple tube in Maya and brought it into Mudbox for testing. It gave me the same result and froze at 99%.
I can batch process 300 files in Photoshop 6 with windows XP. I cannot do the same files on my laptop with CS5. (error message too many files open at once). I installed both my original version of Photoshop 3 and my full version of Photoshop cs5 but the upgrade of Photoshop 6 will not recognize either one.  How to load Photoshop 6 into my windows 7 environment?
Was running photoshop cs2, got new computer running windows 8, can't load old software and can't afford new upgraded software, any versions I can download for free or CHEAP?
I just purchased a new HP Envy Laptop with Windows 8 and installed both Lightroom 3 and Photoshop Elements 9. Lightroom is working perfectly. I cannot get beyond the welcome screen on Elements. PSE 9 will not load when I try to "Edit In" from LR3. (Note; Organizer will open, just not Editor)
I signed up for Adobe Creative Cloud, so that I could evaluate the latest version of Illustrator and Photoshop. I downloaded and installed Illustrator, however my computer crawled after the install. So I had to do a System Restore back to before the download and install of Illustrator. Â After the System Restore, I again downloaded and installed Illustrator. The program showed up in the programs menu. I then downloaded and installed Photoshop and Dreamweaver. But after that, two separate versions of Photoshop show up - regular and 64 bit (I only downloaded and installed one version of Photoshop), and Dreamweaver. Illustrator no longer shows up in the Windows 7 Programs menu. How is this possible??? Â I looked in C:Program Files, and a 342MB Illustrator CC file is there. But I cannot find a .exe file in that file, and so cannot start Illustrator. Â Worse still, when I try to download and install Illustrator once again, Adobe Creative Cloud shows me as having downloaded and installed it already, and that it is working perfectly - which is of course, NOT TRUE! Creative Cloud will accordingly not allow me to download and install Illustrator again! So while Creative Cloud thinks I have a worling version of Illustrator CC to try out and evaluate, I in fact do not!
What happened, and why the version installed in Program Files folder is not showing up i the Programs Menus of Windows 7, and or what I can do to get Illustrator to start up.
I am using Windows 7 OS, running Photoshop CS6 standard 64 Bit, 12GB RAM, dual XEON 2.6ghz processors. I am experiencing problems with shortcuts. I also experienced the issues when using the Release candidate.
The issues I have: The shortcuts will work intermittently and appear to be effected when using the layers palette. The issue relates to things like pressing the J for clone or B for brush. Sometimes they work sometimes they dont. Other times I get a chime noise/beep sounding when pressing the [ ] keys to increase the brush size. the brush will increase/decrease. The fix is normally to select the tool with the mouse and all is well for a while  I seem to have found a pattern when this occurs - and is when I have been using the layers palette. An issue I can reproduce. For example I duplicate a layer, then select the new layer - add a blending mode then click on the new layer, old layer and try the merge shortcut - nothing happens. Sometimes I get the chime noise as well but still no merge. If I click off the layers palette and then attempt the above - the merge works perfectly.  Equally if I attempt the merge of the layers without first clicking off the layers, and try to select say B (brush) I get the chime and the tool is not selected. Other times no chime and the tool is not selected. Again using the mouse to select it works ok  What was an inconvenience is a real pain now, as I am slowing down to do the click off layers trick or double checking the tool is the correct one I am trying to use.  Things Ive tried/figured out:
Ive ensured the kit Im running is technically sound and is not being created by a performance issue.I can reproduce this fault on different computers (all windows) I have tried resetting the workspace and removing all but the layers pallet, but the issue remains Ive even replaced the keyboard!! Even though the keyboard only has an issue in Photoshop. When running CS5 I did not have this issue, but the RC and the final version of CS6 displays this feature Ive closed all apps, with the exception of CS6 Photoshop to work out if is was an incompatibility - feature remains Seems to be related to using the layers palette, when not using the palette .
My LÂ 4 Library suddenly shows only the first thumbnail in a catalog. All the rest of the thumbnail windows are grey. Only thr last import sghows the full catalog.
I have an older version of Adobe Photoshop (3.0, 1996) that I have tried to load under Windows 7 and under a "Parallells" WIndows 7 on a MAC OSX 10. Both give me an incompatibility message regarding a 32 bit application and a 64 bit application.Â
how I can use the older Photoshop under Windows 7.
My original Photoshop full version was v. 5. Since then, I've bought upgrade discs through CS3. Windows 7 won't accept my original version because it's too old, I guess, so I can't load any of the upgrades, either. How can I get around this so I can use Photoshop on my Windows 7 machine. I can't keep my XP laptop forever.
When I import some PDF-files to XDPX (8) (Windows XP SP 3) it shows with CMYK colours. That means that I can't use the material as all colours are "wrong".
Is there a way of importing PDF-files so that they show with RGB colours?
Could that be an option in forthcoming versions; that you can select to import either as CMYK or RGB?
I am facing this problem that when i give plot command and preview the window it show fonts different other than my main window. Also it prints as per the preview window and not as per the fonts present in my AutoCAD model space and layout.
Let me know whether Adobe Photoshop CS6 of version 13 is compatible on Windows 7 64bit Operating System? In case if it is not compatible on Windows 7 64bit OS,then will there be any free upgrade provided by Adobe. Â If not then what would be alternative product to be installed and the License cost details per head. Also please provide the URL or location from which the licensed product can be downloaded as well as the installation documentation.
