Photoshop :: Wrong Application Opens Instead Of PS/IR

I downloaded MacHacha because I needed it to join some segments for Toast . So, I open ImageReady and use it but I look in the dock and notice a funky icon and not the right one but again, it still works but I don't trust it. I close IR and re-open it but MacHacha opens instead. I go to my Adobe Photoshop folder which contains IR with the right icon but it still opens MacHacha. So, I click get info in finder and it says that IR is a MacHacha file. WTH? I don't even know how but after I copied IR to my applications but not in my PS folder and I right-clicked get info and it says Kind: Adobe IR but it's the wrong icon. I can use IR but it's all messed up. I opened it from the PS folder and got info and it says it was modified on the 10th which I don't understand. I've used it since then and right until last night, it was working fine with the right icon etc. I also can't jump from IR to PS but the reverse works. I even tried adding IR to the dock from Apps (not PS) and the right icon appeared. However, when I clicked on it, it didn't worked and the wrong icon is shown right next to it. Photoshop CC today opens Adobe Application Manager, says "Sign in Required", but with correct info gives error message. Also, CC desktop not working. I haven't had any problem in the previous two months. I also was just build two weeks ago, and had to update my billing information. I tried online chat, after 30 minutes of typing, I've been disconnected twice. The funny thing is, Photoshop CC does open, and it works fine. I'm on a Mac running the latest operating system and hardware.
Indesign promted me to update the path to PS while opening a PS file from within ID. I clicked okay, having never seen this, and having had no problem opening PS files files from ID before.
BUT then it started opening PS from my back up clone, and not my boot disk! How do I change it back?
I tried selecting 'other' from the list under 'edt with' and navigating to the correct version off my boot disk, but it was grey and not available!
I unmounted the back up clone and it worked fine, but when I remounted I got the same problem.
I have a feeling this may come under the heading of 'dumb queries'. Nonetheless: Illustrator CS6 (Mac OS X 10.6) has just started opening documents with the working window hard left of the screen, rather than immediately tot he right of the toolbar. I hope the attached graphic makes this clear:
This happens when opening documents by double-clicking in the Finder and by using File > Open in Illustrator itself.I've tried resetting preferences; and moving the window to the correct position, creating a new workspace and restarting Illustrator. Sadly neither action works.
We had a project folder named A. We created a new project folder named B and copied the AutoCad files from A to B. On one of our workstations if you open a drawing from folder B, then click save as, the dialog opens to folder A.
Not a big problem, but since the files are named the same it can be confusing...
I bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 but get the following alert: "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application." Can it be reinstalled? It is not available under "History" and none of the available installs appear to be for Mac OS X (Version 10.7.4). S
I have PSE9 and a macbook pro 10.9. I lost the original DVD that came with my purchase of PSE. Some files must have gotten corrupted because I can't open the program without reintalling. It says, "Some of the application components are missing from the application directory. Please reinstall the application." I have the serial number and all and I registered the product. Is there somewhere I can download a new copy to install?

In Lightroom 4.2 when open and I want to edit in PSE 10, I go to Photo, edit in PSE 10, and PSE 10 opens, but there is no image. I want to edit in PSE 10 and can't. Using LR 4.2, and attempting to edit in PSE 10, PSE 10 opens but no image opens to edit
I can open photoshop but it does not respond to anything, not even the Ctrl key. I have a new pheonix envy and windows 8. I have only used this photoshop program for one editing project. I have tried to reset the preferences with the keyboard shortcuts but nothing happens. I cannot quit the program or close the window. The program is completely frozen everytime I open it and all I can do it restart the computer. What could be causing this? It was working before I edited some photos....
I have CS6 and CC on my system. CC opens fine when I open it with the Shortcut. But when I try to open a tif file on my desktop, the default program is CS6 and not CC. So I try "open with and CC is not listed. So I go to browse and find the Photoshop CC.exe icon under programs and choose it, I can't get it to show in the list. I want to make this my defalult program and it won't work.
I just bought adobe creative suite 6 design and web premium package, I`m assuming photo shop cs6 is fully updated, I just installed it two weeks ago and I have not had any problems so far.
I have windows 7 on a hp laptop which is bran new. today I went to open up PS and it immediately says cs6 has stopped working then it shuts itself down.
When i try to open Adobe Photoshop CC it only opens in the taskbar and Im unable to open it completely as a whole. My only option for the taskbar is to close the window.
I recencly purchased a new Mac. Specs: OSX Version 10.7.4 and installed my copy of Photoshop CS4 onto the machine.
When ever I restart Photoshop it always automatically opens the last doc in the program from the previous work session. Is there anyway to stop this from happening?
photoshop opens some jpg files 3 (i have a folder with 60 pics raw and jpg ) and it opens always via camera raw. I mean i want to open these 3 files like other jpg files , directly in photoshop.
Photoshop CS3 opens very slowly. Not the programm, i mean the files. When i make FILE -> NEW and make my setting and press OK it takes about 45 seconds to 1 minute to make the new file.
When the file is open, it works normal till i want to make the next file.
I believe it is opening the jpeg preview stored with the DNG. Is this true or does Preview support DNG an RAW natively somehow? The particular image I opened, just to try it, looked brighter and more saturated than opening the same image in a converter.
When opening a file in CS6 the file opens at 0.4%. How can I set the view so that the file opes and fills the screen as the default viewing percentage.
Have a windows 8 computer. Loaded CS6 and launched photoshop and it worked fine. About a week later when opening, it just opens to like a gray screen. Uninstalled CS6 and reloaded. Same thing.
It happened at the color picker stage when choosing the color of my inset shadow on a rectangle. Everytime I make a selection it launches "Adobe help" and opened over 40 tabs on Chrome.
Every time I start up Photoshop CS6 (Cloud), an old file opens but it has a totally different name than the file itself does and is a .psb file. I cannot right click on it, I have tried searching for it in my computer to delete the file, it doesn't exist anywhere. How can I keep this strange file from opening upon start up and get rid of it once and for all?
I have been having an issue with an old file automatically opening everytime I startup Photoshop. This has been happening since Photoshop crashed while working with this file over a week ago. I have trashed the preferences and do not know where to go from here
When I open up a psd files they open at 0.13%. Really small. Today they all opened at this size. I'm using CS4 on a Mac Pro running OS 10.7.5. How do I get files to open at 100%.
I get eps files that i have to post to a website. I open the files in Photoshop, and they open on 1 layer, a Background later, that has a white background. However when I drop them into a PPT or Word doc, they are indeed transparent.
When I open the EPS's in Illustrator, they are transparent. When I re-save the EPS in Illustrator as an Illustrator EPS, and then open that file in Photoshop, it opens on "Layer 1" and is transparent.
Why are these EPS's opening on a background later to begin with?
