Have a windows 8 computer. Loaded CS6 and launched photoshop and it worked fine. About a week later when opening, it just opens to like a gray screen. Uninstalled CS6 and reloaded. Same thing.
View 1 RepliesMy company is switching from ctb files to stb files. With the ctb file, we make concrete hatch with two layers. A top layer with the concrete hatch pattern and a background layer with a solid hatch patern. The ctb file concrete plots the concete hatch black and the solid background hatch light gray. I am using civil 3d 2013 and the hatch allows a seperate background color mask. I am trying to make all my concrete layers (Top of Curb, Curb Flowline, etc.) a certain color scheme, i.e. shades of green. I would like my on screen concrete hatch patern to be a green color with a gray background, but plot the concrete hatch black with a gray background. I can not figure out how to do this without making two layers. Is there a way to use one layer and utilize the background color mask to show on screen green and gray, but plot black and gray?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I open "Image>Image size" for example, the dialogue window that opens appear half way off-screen, and I can't access it. The only way for me to close it is to use the Esc button.
Every time I open one of theese windows, they wander off a couple of pixels, until they can't be reached. Sure, I can try to reset their position manually each time I use them, but that's not how it's supposed to be.
I need a way to reset all windows positions. The workspace options doesn't seem to include the dialogue windows, so that's no use.
I am experiencing suddenly an odd behavior with Photoshop CS5.Everytime I open a new window in photoshop the window goes outside my screen.I have to go each time to the system preferences on my mac and switch for a second to another screen resolution to bring back the window to my screen.I have found out that when I disable OpenGL in Photoshop the problem goes away. But still, I want to use OpenGL.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi have a simple block of text on a PS doc that is supposed to be black (i've checked many times and it's color =000000) but it looks gray on screen and prints gray. i checked opacity. it's 100%. i tried opening a new PS doc to see if somehow the doc itself was messed up, but i have the same problem in a brand new doc. make sure it wasn't a printer issue, i printed some text in MS Word and it got black just fine.

no uninstalling possible because of the same failure: uninstall opens a browser. so no uninstall possible.
no new installation from dvd possible, because the installer also opens an browser-window instead of an installer.

Example: CTRL+click on grey channel theoreticly (by my theory) make selection from white depending on its value. So cuting out must leave transparent greyscale image. But it don't (okey, it do, but changes black value):
The same selection inverted and filled with 100%K gives correct result: Is my "theory" about CTRL+click selection wrong? Becouse for my point of view, both ways should give same result.
How do I change the default toolbar background from dark gray to light gray in illustrator CS6? In the older versions, the toolbar backgrounds were light gray. It easier to read on light gray backgrounds. THe same question applies to Photoshop CS6. InDesign CS6 has light gray backgrounds.

In 8-bit mode, only some of the "grays" have a mismatching B value and there seems to be more of them when the gradient is created by Gradient Tool than when it is a Gradient Fill layer. The difference seems to be 1 in the cases that I've seen.
In 16-bit mode, I see the B differ from R and G by 7 at black, gradually reducing to 0 at white.
Before someone says, "Why make a fuss about small discrepancies?", I'm asking why there is any difference at all.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm here with 2013 SP2 64 bit Build 200 and two screens. Left screen is graphics area, Browser is on the left of right screen. Graphics is ATI Fire Pro V7800 with driver 9.3.3.3000.
In video (zipped MP4) you see a cutout of both screens, think of screens changing at the left of the browser.
Now, in many cases, after doing an operation, the browser is jumping back to the middle of my graphics in the left screen.
I have used "Share My Screen" meeting feature a few times on my machine.
a client and it gave me the blue screen of death crash and forced a restart. After it did this 3 times I gave up.

I can open photoshop but it does not respond to anything, not even the Ctrl key. I have a new pheonix envy and windows 8. I have only used this photoshop program for one editing project. I have tried to reset the preferences with the keyboard shortcuts but nothing happens. I cannot quit the program or close the window. The program is completely frozen everytime I open it and all I can do it restart the computer. What could be causing this? It was working before I edited some photos....

So I try "open with and CC is not listed. So I go to browse and find the Photoshop CC.exe icon under programs and choose it, I can't get it to show in the list. I want to make this my defalult program and it won't work.

I have windows 7 on a hp laptop which is bran new. today I went to open up PS and it immediately says cs6 has stopped working then it shuts itself down.
When i try to open Adobe Photoshop CC it only opens in the taskbar and Im unable to open it completely as a whole. My only option for the taskbar is to close the window.

When ever I restart Photoshop it always automatically opens the last doc in the program from the previous work session. Is there anyway to stop this from happening?
