My properties dialogue box no longer opens on my screen. I've tried opening it uning the icon and the command line with no luck. When I click the icon my screen will flicker bun the box does not open. how to get it back?

When I open "Image>Image size" for example, the dialogue window that opens appear half way off-screen, and I can't access it. The only way for me to close it is to use the Esc button.
Every time I open one of theese windows, they wander off a couple of pixels, until they can't be reached. Sure, I can try to reset their position manually each time I use them, but that's not how it's supposed to be.
I need a way to reset all windows positions. The workspace options doesn't seem to include the dialogue windows, so that's no use.
After trying to rotate a view in a viewport window, I have lost the ability to pick the viewport and right-click to bring up the properties list. What did I change?
View 2 Replies View RelatedEverything has worked perfectly until today. Yesterday evening, I received an update notice from Adobe for an update called Adobe CSXS INfrastructure CS6 and I agreed to let install. It installed.
That seems to be where the problem started. Now, when I send an image from LR to Photoshop, it does not open. The "Edit in" command isn't working. PS opens, but the image does not appear.
I just downloaded and reinstalled PS CS6. I then asked PS CS6 to update, which it did. When finished, there was an error saying that Adobe CSXS INfrastructure CS6 could not install. Error code: U44M1P7
The good news is that now it all works again! So, the problem lies in the Infrastructure update, which I will not allow to update again.

I ran MacKeeper the onter day and it actually fixed all my woes, however, when I went to open Photoshop, it only opens in 64bit mode. Could be a coinsidence.I quadroople checked that it is selected to open in 32bit mode in the "Get info" window and rebooted many times, but I can't get Photoshop to open in 32bit mode.I was hoping that there is something I am missing before I have to reinstall.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is for .MXF files shot on a Canon XF300. Things were working fine, but suddenly I am unable to open those mxf files in AE CS6. Even projects previously created with AE CS6 now won't open, and give me the 'file damaged or unsupported' error message in AE. The file locations are identical. I've found workarounds, but they fall a very long way short of the convenience of using Dynamic Link from the Premiere Pro CS6 timeline. There are lots of hits if you Google, but most go back a version or two, or suggest converting the MXF clips to an AE friendly format.

Quicker way to change the overall linetype scale than using the 'modify properties' dialogue box that comes with Autocad 2008? I've attached an image that specifically shows what I am trying to change, but I get tired of always having to scroll down in the box to find this variable. I would love to have something simple like the old DDCHPROP dialogue box (see smaller image). LISP routine or something where I click on the toolbar button, and simply change the overall scale without having to navigate through the native one?

I have been using PSE 6 happily on my iMac under OS 10.6.8. Now it won't open fully. I get a blank opening screen and functionality. Tried deleting and copying my programme from backup but same result. The installer only works once. What can I do.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe Organizer and the Editor stopped working together in just 1 of my catalogs. It happens to be the catalog in which I have done the most image manipulations such as renaming, stacking, albums, rating, etc. Now, when I select a photo in Organizer and click on Fix, Edit, the Editor window comes up but the photo does not appear in Editor. The only way I can get an image into Editor is to pull it directly into Editor. Then, when I want to save it as a Version Set I have to choose File> Organize Open File in order to save the image as a version set. Other than deleting and re-creating the catalog, how can I get Editor to open the image from Organizer like it used to do?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAs I updated to a new camcorder (Sony HDR-CX130) and computer, I have a question about VS X4, that I am using.VS X4 is presented being a kind od ideal editing HD/AVCHD. I started to edit my MPEG-2_TS files with the presumption that I really was editing in HD. It goes quite well on my new PC, without Smart Proxy turned on! In the future I want to burn them on BlueRay-disks. Therefore I want to save my new projects in HD-mode.
But then I took a Look at the Project Properties and it is defaulted to MPEG-files 720x576 pix; SD-resolution. It seems that it is not possible to insert a Full-HD template or Full-HD-matching parameters. Media-type can't be changed to anything else then PAL-DVD.
One other issue then is that I use to use slow-motion and stills in my video-projects, for action-shots. Then I saw also that the stills (Snapshots token using 'Edit>Snapshot' (Correct? I use the dutch version)) don't have 1920x1080 pix, but 1024x576 pixels instead.
I searched the forum and found this topic about the project properties vis-a-vis HD-editing: URL....As far understood, the projectproperties don't matter that much, all material will be rendered Full-HD (upscaled?) in the share-step when selecting BluRay-disc or AVCHD-Video File. Then my questions:
- What is then the use of Smart Proxy and the Project Properties-Dialogue?
- Will the stills be upscaled, so they integrate seamlessly in the endresult?
- Is there a way to change the videostill/snapshot resolution to Full HD?
I can no longer open the Properties Palette when I double-click on something. Sometimes, I get the Quick Properties Box, instead -- which was already turned off. I've triple checked that the QP is off, made sure no tool tips or the like are on, and I've rebooted the computer, but I can't get rid of the thing.
The main Properties Palette still opens up when I use CTRL-1, if I type "properties" at the command prompt, and if I right-click and select "Properties" from the short-cut menu. Sounds great -- except when I double-click something out of habit and can't jump into the palette and keep going. Instead I have to clear out of whatever pops up on my screen and open the PP 'manually'.
I've gone in to the CUI and dragged "Properties" in to the double-click function, but...nada.

1) My line type no longer works (via layers or directly)
2) My text section within line properties no longer shows up in order to access 'text overide'
3) I can no longer change the line color.
When I export a file from Lightroom 4 to Photoshop Elements 11 to edit. I make my edits, then click "Save." For some reason it opens the "Save-As" dialog box. How can I fix this so that I only click "Save" and then let the file return to Lightroom?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am not sure how this happened, but using PSPX3, when i need a new layer, the dialogue window is way to the top. The values and all are accessible but when i am doing live presentations or recording tutorials, this is an annoyance. It is so high that i cannot grab the top of the window and pull it down. It is only for that one dialogue window and only for that one PSP version.
I tried resetting the workspace to default, i tried reloading an old workspace, but that one stubborn dialogue window is still there on top.
I tried changing the screen resolution temporarily to see if i could "grab it" to move it back down, but it still is "ungrabbable".
Have a windows 8 computer. Loaded CS6 and launched photoshop and it worked fine. About a week later when opening, it just opens to like a gray screen. Uninstalled CS6 and reloaded. Same thing.

View 1 Replies View Relatedafter installing the update to 6.2 on my spare system coreldraw just starts with it's welcome screen in any browser (standard-browser: ie, firefox or chrome) instead of corel itself. therefore i can't work with coreldraw anymore - even cannot close it. have to kill process in task-manager.
no uninstalling possible because of the same failure: uninstall opens a browser. so no uninstall possible.
no new installation from dvd possible, because the installer also opens an browser-window instead of an installer.

View 7 Replies View RelatedIt's already a horrible situation that PSCS3X, the king daddy of Photo Editors doesn't support multiple screen capture, but now were 1 step into no-man's land here.
Pressing PRINT SCREEN and then focusing PS and pressing CTRL + N to create a new document usually will create a new document with the captured area's dimensions prefilled (1680x1050), but instead it says 64x64, and pasting doesn't paste any content into the canvas.
Anyone know what I might be overlooking?
Persists after program restarts as well.
