Have a windows 8 computer. Loaded CS6 and launched photoshop and it worked fine. About a week later when opening, it just opens to like a gray screen. Uninstalled CS6 and reloaded. Same thing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I open "Image>Image size" for example, the dialogue window that opens appear half way off-screen, and I can't access it. The only way for me to close it is to use the Esc button.
Every time I open one of theese windows, they wander off a couple of pixels, until they can't be reached. Sure, I can try to reset their position manually each time I use them, but that's not how it's supposed to be.
I need a way to reset all windows positions. The workspace options doesn't seem to include the dialogue windows, so that's no use.
I am experiencing suddenly an odd behavior with Photoshop CS5.Everytime I open a new window in photoshop the window goes outside my screen.I have to go each time to the system preferences on my mac and switch for a second to another screen resolution to bring back the window to my screen.I have found out that when I disable OpenGL in Photoshop the problem goes away. View 8 Replies View RelatedBesides the background layer with a 'B/W image' I created a layer to add some colour. When I use the eraser in that layer, a white haze appears. I've never experienced such a thing in over 15 years of Photoshop use.
Normal, coverage 100%. In the image below clearly to be seen the eraser stroke from left to right. The white haze best to be seen at the darker part.
How can I eliminate the mesh screen which appears over any image I open in photoshop CS6?

Yesterday, I took a number of experimental shots (a red phone cord lying on a white background). The white background (an artists white canvas lying on the floor) was well lit from above using 5600K lights.
The shots were all taken using auto focus, auto exposure, etc and in the view finder everything appeared to be correct, but on later viewing the photos, the white background appears to be grey.
I have attached a sample image to show the grey colour.
especially when using the auto mode when taking the photos.
I am not concerned about the picture quality only the grey background and I did not undertake a WB as I thought that this was part of the auto mode when taking the photo. the shot was taken by half pressing the shutter release butto to ensure that everything was OK then continuing to fully press the button.
I use gimp for basic graphic work on images my clients send me. I mostly receive vector pdf's, but sometimes when i open them, the image is displayed all in white with a white background. i've played around in gimp to try and get the image to show but cannot succeed. i know there is an image in the file because i send it to a friend who uses illustrator and he manages to make the image appear somehow.
How can i make the image appear using Gimp.
PNG with transparent background that appears white when uploaded on the web. This is how I do the PNG : Once I have the image with the transparent background with the white and grey checks, I go to save for web and devices, putting PNG 24 at preset and the bar under it, transparency checked, and then save. When I preview the image, the background is transparent. Also when I open the image with Windows image viewer, the image also has the transparent background. However, when I upload the image to the website, the background turns white.
I'm using CS4. I put here a link to the psd file in case. URL.... and the image URL...
Just loaded cs5 onto a second computer legally. Any tiff or raw file brought into cs5 appears as a grey and white checker board image. From there its gets even crazier. CS5 works fine on the first computer. both loaded from the same legal disk.

View 9 Replies View RelatedEverything is calibrated. That is not an issue.
When I work the photo (JPG, TIFF or PSD) to where it is what I want, the preview is darker in the print preview. Probably one f/stop in photo terms. And, THIS is how it actually prints.
What is causing that? And, is there a fix?
None of the "show paper color," etc. are checked, so that is not causing the difference.

no uninstalling possible because of the same failure: uninstall opens a browser. so no uninstall possible.

Luckily this came up while testing the installation.

how to get rid of this line? If by setting the eraser color to the background color, how do I do that? As I get rid of the line, I'd also like to refine the figure's outline so it becomes cleaner.
For printing or mailing purpose, i used to re-open big .psb layer files (2-6GB) in cs5 and cs6 with keybombo "alt" and "shift" while double clicking the document in the finder window (10.6 + 10.7.5), in order to save time.
This is not possible anymore, everytime i open a document this way its white and empty in photoshop.
When a pdf is taken from illustrator, white lines appears on images. How can be avoided it?
I use illustrator cs5. It occures mostly on the cover pages of brochures which contains images, texts and some effects such as drop shadow etc.
When I print my project to pdf there appears to be a copy (in white) of the text behind all the letters.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe “window selection” selects only what appears on the screen! I wanted to select a page number located on the lower left corner of each title block of each drawing but found out that the “window selection” doesn’t keep selecting what doesn’t appear on the screen (if zoom in is applied)! For example, if I select a number of drawings and “zoom in” is applied then the window selection will only keep selecting what appears only on the screen!
Then how to let the “window selection” keep selecting all the objects regarding whether they appear on the screen or not?
