A thin white border around the figure that I had edited appeared out of nowhere. I was able to erase it before editing the background but now I can't erase it or remember how I did that.
how to get rid of this line? If by setting the eraser color to the background color, how do I do that? As I get rid of the line, I'd also like to refine the figure's outline so it becomes cleaner.
I am using live paint to paint cartoon character illustrations. The artwork is brought into Illustrator CS3 and live traced. Then I convert it to a live paint group and use the paint bucket to fill. Everything looks fine no matter how much I zoom in. If I bring the AI file into Photoshop CS6 I can see a thin white line between the black line art and the fill. This is most noticeable where black meets black. I can also see this sometimes in file previews while browsing through files. If the white line cannot be seen in Illustrator is the file ok? I did just upgrade to CS6 if that would make a difference.

View 7 Replies View RelatedJust loaded cs5 onto a second computer legally. Any tiff or raw file brought into cs5 appears as a grey and white checker board image. From there its gets even crazier. CS5 works fine on the first computer. both loaded from the same legal disk.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor printing or mailing purpose, i used to re-open big .psb layer files (2-6GB) in cs5 and cs6 with keybombo "alt" and "shift" while double clicking the document in the finder window (10.6 + 10.7.5), in order to save time.
This is not possible anymore, everytime i open a document this way its white and empty in photoshop.
The circle that appears on the screen when using the erase and paint tool disappears. It only resets when I reboot my PC.

When I'm in a new file, if I go file-place and select an image it automatically tints the image into black and white. I recently used this option in the program and it almost seems like the function is stuck!?
My only option now is to re-install the software.
when I have a document filling the screen (i.e. click ctrl+0) there is a thin white border surronding the image (see attachment). This does not show at any other magnification. Not happened in any other PS iteration (long word!) Would it be a graphics card issue?

This is so interesting.I use ''knockout2, remask3'' for cutting and ''Imagenomic Portraite'' for retouching.That never happened in CS4 32-bit.
Now i use CS6 64-bit and whenever i APPLY an effect/filter (include PS's Refine Edge) or plugin, there happens a strong white border/line on the image.
I can delete it by using so many ways like ''contract'' but it kills the details.
why is that happening?This must be an option or something cuz it never happened in any other photoshops that i used.I used the same plugins.
I've been having an issue with the paint bucket tool; when I fill in an area with the tool it leaves a thin white border between the area and any lines drawn with the paintbrush tool.
(see attachment) how this can be remedied? Since I'm working on a comic and going back over every line filling in the color takes far too much time.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am a new Lightroom user .I have a folder of full of .JPG in ~/Pictures/2011/2011-07-21_Fjord that I imported inside Lightroom 5 using the "Add" option (not "Copy" nor "Move").
I modified a few pictures (mainly removing visual artefacts and fixing the level) and found out that ~/Pictures/2013/2013-07-21_Fjord still contains the originals.
After reading a bit about LR, I understand that is is the expected behavior. But let's say I know what I am doing and I no longer care about the originals, what is the best worlflow to overwrite the originals why the modified JPGs?
I am using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011. I am wondering if there is a way to assign an mline to a figure style in the Figure Prefix Database. Ultimately I am trying to create storm drains that have a width automatically (ex. 12" SD would come in at 12"). Right now I have a single center line that comes in and I manually offset the line to create a width or I place an mline over the center line.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhy are figure line styles and feature line styles not shared, or a parent / child relationship? Also, should match properties change the style of a feature line to appear to be the same style as the figure line? The style only exists in as a figure line style.
If we offset a Figure line (feature line stepped offset) we get feature line, then we match properties to a figure line that has the correct style. The prospector says the Feature line has the style of the figure line; however, if we edit the feature line properties the style is set to none.
I have a CMYK file, outlined product, that looks perfect in Photoshop. When I place the image into Illustrator, it shows up with a thin white line around parts of the product (fyi - it shows up on a print as well). I have tried to place an RGB file and it does not have the white line around the product. I assume it has something to do with it being CMYK.

I've installed 32-bit CS6 and now everything works perfect.No white lines after applying/resizng anything.

When you measure something with the distance command, according to the type of file, the last zoom you did, your graphic card and probably the speed of the wind, the little red line won't show.
Normally when you measure something, a thin red line is shown were the distance is calculated. But in my laptop, and both pc's of my client, Inventor shows this line only in parts, not in assemblies. I've got a Quadro 2000M, my client got Quadro FX 1700 and 1800, all with the recommended drivers.
So I tried with 3 other laptops. On one of them (with a K2000M) if you do a measure right after the file open, it give you the line, if you zoom with the measure command open, the line disappear and won't show again until you close and open the file again. But if you zoom without the command active, the line is shown normally. But it's not working like that on all machines.
I am looking to make a brush that I can use for cartooning in CS6 that starts out thin, gets thicker with pressure (I have a cintiq), and ends in a thin line.
View 22 Replies View RelatedBesides the background layer with a 'B/W image' I created a layer to add some colour. When I use the eraser in that layer, a white haze appears. I've never experienced such a thing in over 15 years of Photoshop use.
Normal, coverage 100%. In the image below clearly to be seen the eraser stroke from left to right. The white haze best to be seen at the darker part.
My photoshop cs3 opens but a white screen appears with no options and i cant work on my document. I tried uninstalling a reinstalling

Yesterday, I took a number of experimental shots (a red phone cord lying on a white background). The white background (an artists white canvas lying on the floor) was well lit from above using 5600K lights.
The shots were all taken using auto focus, auto exposure, etc and in the view finder everything appeared to be correct, but on later viewing the photos, the white background appears to be grey.
I have attached a sample image to show the grey colour.
especially when using the auto mode when taking the photos.
I am not concerned about the picture quality only the grey background and I did not undertake a WB as I thought that this was part of the auto mode when taking the photo. the shot was taken by half pressing the shutter release butto to ensure that everything was OK then continuing to fully press the button.
Is there a way to show the page border without the grey shadow, just a thin black line?

When the program runs and reached the line that has either open, close and save method, Inventor program automatically terminated and “Inventor Send Error Report” appears. When we tried to debug the program and when it reached the line that has either open, close, and save method, we force to exit our customized program but the same case, when it is totally terminated, Inventor program also terminated and “Inventor Send Error Report” appears. When we investigate the problem, we tried several solutions such as setting the active document to new variable, added a method to pause the program for few seconds, etc but still no effect. Our machine is using: Windows XP Pro x64 SP2 Intel Xeon(R), 6 GB RAM Is there a VBA for Inventor that is intended for 64 bit machine? Because I think we use 32 bit VBA in Inventor. What does “Inventor32bitHost.exe” means in task manager? Is there any relation to Inventor VBA?

I realise that there are many possible options to get Civil3D survey data into MX, but I am trying to explore the use of the Subscription Extension to Import/Export GENIO.
Surfaces - no problem. Points - I see how I can get that to work. But the only linework that can be exported is Feature Lines, and it is also important that the feature lines have a name (likely related to the layer it is on).
I can convert survey figures to feature lines and name them one by one but would be very time consuming for a whole survey. Is there any way of doing all figures at once?
I'm guessing not and that it is probably easier to do the Genio creation from dwg in MX itself.
