I use Maya 2011 (of course) Zbrush and 3d Coat. I have the problem in 3d coat and tried it in Blender and the problem occurred on both while on zbrush it appears fine.

Jan 9, 2013i have been using PS cs6 for the last 1 month n have never encountered any problems or errors, but today when i started to paint a problem for Soft Brushes is appearing..it works fine for hard brushes, but when i switch to soft brush the edge of the soft brush appears grainy.. i have reinstalled the software, but doesn't work...i m using the same setting for CS5 and it works fine in PS cs5, don't know why suddenly this problem occured. (sys. config.: Win7 64bit, 1gb NVIDIA graphics card, 6GB ram, core i3 processor)

Feb 16, 2013A thin white border around the figure that I had edited appeared out of nowhere. I was able to erase it before editing the background but now I can't erase it or remember how I did that.
how to get rid of this line? If by setting the eraser color to the background color, how do I do that? As I get rid of the line, I'd also like to refine the figure's outline so it becomes cleaner.

Oct 12, 2009When I export an image from CorelDraw to a jpeg, or png, (or probably anything for that matter) and try to use it in my web design program I get the little 1 pixel wide white line. WTH? I then have to take it into corel photo paint and erase that one pixel line, in order for it to be gone.
I've used Corel Draw since version 4 I think and this problem has existed in every version Corel has put out. I like the product, I find it easy to use but this glitch is maddening.
Illustrator :: Object Appears Filled In Document Even Though Its Not
Feb 18, 2014When I draw an object in Illustrator, the shape appears filled in the view of the document, even though it is set to no fill in the apprearance panel. The thumbnail for the object in the layers panel shows it with no fill, and if I copy it and paste it into Photoshop it has no fill there, so it really has no fill. Just in the view of the document where I am drawing it appears with a colored fill.
I'm drawing lots of overlapping shapes, I want them with no fill so I can see the ones behind. This is happening with all the tools I have tried: pen, pencil, paintbrush, shapes, whatever. I've tried restarting Illustrator, also restarting my computer, nothing changes. I may have clicked on some setting inadvertently somewhere, as I've been exploring and clicking on lots of things to see what they do.

Nov 7, 2013Some weeks ago I had to make a large scale graphic (800mmx2000mm) for a roll-up banner. I wanted to apply a drop shadow to a rounded shape, and ugly lines came up. Since it was a bit urgent, I decided not to use it.
But now I'm curious, so I quickly made an ellipse and added a shadow, so you know what I mean. This also happens when I save it as pdf or image.
Perhaps someday I will have to use a drop shadow on large scale. So, what could I do in case I need to use this effect in these conditions? I use Illustrator CS6 in Mac with Mavericks.
Illustrator :: Thin White Line Between Line Art And Live Paint Fill?
Jun 25, 2012I am using live paint to paint cartoon character illustrations. The artwork is brought into Illustrator CS3 and live traced. Then I convert it to a live paint group and use the paint bucket to fill. Everything looks fine no matter how much I zoom in. If I bring the AI file into Photoshop CS6 I can see a thin white line between the black line art and the fill. This is most noticeable where black meets black. I can also see this sometimes in file previews while browsing through files. If the white line cannot be seen in Illustrator is the file ok? I did just upgrade to CS6 if that would make a difference.

The gif becomes all grainy and white when it started out and you can see the layers from before still showing while the other layers are playing.
Illustrator :: Exporting To JPG - White Turning Transparent
May 9, 2013I have an A3 sized times 3 artboard file that I want to save out at 300ppi so that I can print it at A1 without losing much quality. I do this every couple of months this will be the 4th time or so. Each time I run into this same problem and kind of just fudge my way around, but I'm not having as much luck this time and can't move forward to printing.
each sheet is a series of 20 coupons or so like seen above but when i export to jpg some of the coupons come out like this:
the white layers (there are two) both go transparent and the background paper image leaks through. as you can see in the after shot, in the upper right, some white is preserved (the shadow in a link file, but the white under 408 is an illustrator shape)
I've tried changing the white to 1%k or 1%c 1%m 1%y 1%k and things. usually fiddling with it like this in serveral random ways gets it to work eventually.

Jul 9, 2012I have created a back and front for a business card and although it is 3.5" x 2" in illustrator, when I export it as any other format (tiff, jpg, bmp, etc) for some reason it saves this huge white area around it. The backside of the card (with all of the info) saves with just a little white bar at the top. The colored side of the card saves where it has a massive white space surrounding it.
The colored card does have some clipping masks and a transparency (for the background). That is all that I could think would possibly mess it up....

Apr 3, 2013I used trace to do a trace of my image. I then used live paint to paint chunks of it. When I hovered over each bit, it would come up with a thick pink line and would fill in that line. So all was going well, I got everything the colour I wanted it, etc. I tried to export my image to a PDF and the purple lines that were so useful to me when I was doing live paint still showed up, but showed up as a white outline. I read forums and tried everything-deselected the keep ability to edit in illustrator and create acrobat layers from top level layers. But every time I try to open it in preview on the mac, the purple lines are still there. I can "click off of them" within illustrator, ie-select somewhere else on the page and it makes them go away, but even if they aren't showing up when I save it, they still show up on preview. I can't print it out like it is now!

These objects (right word?) are a combination of placed .png files, polygon/primitives (mostly circles) and text labels. I would like to quickly create and export a .txt or a .csv file that has the following coordinate and size information about each object in the AI document:
Pos (x,y)
Size (w,l)
Is there a menu feature? If not, is there a suggestion for a script? Would like to save a day's work going object by object and manually transcribing this information into a text file.
Illustrator :: White Line Around Image
Sep 19, 2012I have a CMYK file, outlined product, that looks perfect in Photoshop. When I place the image into Illustrator, it shows up with a thin white line around parts of the product (fyi - it shows up on a print as well). I have tried to place an RGB file and it does not have the white line around the product. I assume it has something to do with it being CMYK.

Dec 7, 2012I'm trying to create a glass bottle with a cork and the "map art" function isn't working properly. I turned a cork pattern into a symbol and applied it to the top and sides of the cork (which looks excellent btw), but as you can (barely) see in the picture it's leaving a white outline around the edge of the front and back. Is there a trick to fixing this that I'm not aware of yet? I'm still pretty new with illustrator.
This isn't a full screen version of the bottle so it's nearly impossible to see the white line.

I can not export the logo, ( Ai, eps or pdf) in InDesign and keep the transparency of the gradient. Transparency becomes white. For the pdf, not only I do not have the transparency of the gradient, but I also have a block of white around my logo.
Illustrator :: Brush Strokes Looking Grainy?
Aug 26, 2012got an out of the blue commission for a t-shirt .... now I'm getting a crash course in Illusrator. Been using it all of one day.
Here's the trouble though - when I use my brushes to make actual brush strokes, the resulting paths look "grainy" - like they aren't vectors/paths.
From what I understand, even drawing freehand with the brush should produce vectored lines - and I can play with points within those freehand brush strokes. But when I zoom out, the strokes I drew with the brush look almost "pixelly", while the ones done with the pen tool look nice and smooth (I should note this is a custom brush that I made, butt the other paths that I've applied the brush to look fine).
Is this normal? Should I resign myself to having to go back over everything using the pen tool (there's a lot of fine, irregular line work)? Or is there some setting of the brush or special key that I'm missing?I know it's small, but you might be able to see what I mean where the main vertical line meets up with the angled line. The near-vertical is brushed in, the angled one is a path with brush overlay....
Photoshop :: Using Eraser In CC (14.1.2) White Haze Appears
Oct 18, 2013Besides the background layer with a 'B/W image' I created a layer to add some colour. When I use the eraser in that layer, a white haze appears. I've never experienced such a thing in over 15 years of Photoshop use.
Normal, coverage 100%. In the image below clearly to be seen the eraser stroke from left to right. The white haze best to be seen at the darker part.

Yesterday, I took a number of experimental shots (a red phone cord lying on a white background). The white background (an artists white canvas lying on the floor) was well lit from above using 5600K lights.
The shots were all taken using auto focus, auto exposure, etc and in the view finder everything appeared to be correct, but on later viewing the photos, the white background appears to be grey.
I have attached a sample image to show the grey colour.
especially when using the auto mode when taking the photos.
I am not concerned about the picture quality only the grey background and I did not undertake a WB as I thought that this was part of the auto mode when taking the photo. the shot was taken by half pressing the shutter release butto to ensure that everything was OK then continuing to fully press the button.
