I see the reverse layers option, I use that when I save and export it as a gif.
The gif becomes all grainy and white when it started out and you can see the layers from before still showing while the other layers are playing.
I figured out how to use the layers option to fade an image into white for a Blackberry theme I'm making. After getting the hang of that, I figured I could try the same thing with a different image. But instead of opening up both images in different colors, both show up as the color of the first image. Both images are png files, the same file format that I used the first set of images for. I have not changed the size nor made anything transparent.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there an option to move just a portion of a layer (with the Move, Scale, or Rotate tools, for example) without having to first copy the portion, then delete it, and then paste it as a whole new layer?
For instance, if you have a picture of a house and there's a tree off to the side, and you want to shrink the tree a bit so the house looks bigger. Currently, I would ( a ) copy the tree, ( b ) delete that selection, and ( c ) paste the tree as a new layer....and then finally (d) shrink that.
But could I simply select the tree and shrink it on the same layer?
When I export as a PDF a white grainy line appears around an object where I've used a gaussian blur? why is this?

My text sometimes is grainy when i upload my graphics to the web and Facebook. Pointers? Looks great when i save it in GIMP. I attached a screenshot.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI sell a template that has a transparent layer in sections, after saving as jpeg it is supposed to go white, but for some of my customers it recently started going black!I at first thought it had to do with not pasting the layers correctly, but its like this after export, so I don't think that should matter...I've attached a sample image so you can see what is happening. Where it is black, it was originally transparent around the circle image, and normally would save white.

I can go in and manually change it from yellow to the ten plus other colors, but I just want yellow completely out of the list. It's awful to look at, and I think every other color is easier.

So I can precisely select the parts I want since Select Rectangle has a precise mode in the tool options.But move has no precise mode.

Is there a way to change the origin of the y-axis from the top to the bottom, with the positive being on top and negative on bottom?
Also, I notice that exact pixel coordinates are split down the center of the actual pixel. When I hover the mouse over a pixel, it will only show the correct coordinate of that pixel in the top left quadrant of that pixel. The attached picture represents a single pixel at (0,0). If I put the mouse over the red quadrant, I correctly get (0,0). If I put it over the Blue quadrants, I get (1,0) and (0,1). The Green displays as (1,1). This is rather inconvenient for me, as I'm working on pixel art, so I always have to make sure to mouse over the top left 1/4th of the pixel that I'm trying to find the coordinate of.
Is there a way to take a flattened image and reverse that so you can manipulate the layers? Photoshop allows it.

So that when I place the final psd on top of a block of solid colour in Indesign the gradient shows the background colour through where the black fades off.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI applied a photo filter to my image (as a layer). Now the Enhance > Convert to Black and White option is grayed out. If it matters, the pencil tool is active. I don't need the pencil tool active for what I'm doing.
When I select the background layer, the Convert to Black and White option is available.
What do I need to do to make the Convert to Black and White tool available on the photo filter layer? How do I turn the pencil tool off?

When I use the 'Convert to Black and White' menu option in Photoshop Elements 10, it does a good job, but it still leaves the file in RGB format (Colour)??
I am working for a Publishers, and I keep forgetting to convert the file to Grayscale after running the Wizard.
Wouldn't it have been easier to add this as an option at the end, and have they done this in Photoshop Elements 11 (or later...)?

Before long I was up to 100 pages, looking fantastic. But then the thought come to me, I have set may page colour to BLACK and all my drawing and text are WHITE as I said looks fantastic until you go to print a page. How much black Ink would you use printing 100 pages black.
SO MY QUESTION IS CAN COREL REVERSE THE LINE ART TO BLACK AND THE PAGE TO WHITE SO I CAN HAVE A PRINTABLE VERSION ?
I have tried publishing to PDF then in acrobat replacing document colours and on screen that works fine but when you print it still prints

I don't now if this is the right forum, because Trapcode Particular is from Red Giant and not for Adobe, but.. I'm using After Effects CS6 and I installed Trapcode Particular. When I select layer emitter, I can't choose a layer. Under layer is no option to select layer.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've just upgraded from Photoshop7 to CS2 and have noticed that the 'link' option have been removed from the 'Layer Window' (the little box which was next to the 'eye' that you could check to select certain layers and then manipulate those particular layers together like free transform, flatten etc.)
I normally use this feature alot and cannot find another way of doing it, is it possible to reinstate this feature or does anyone know a way of still doing this within CS2?

View 3 Replies View RelatedThere's a new feature where you can opt to drag a layer mask to the trash and NOT be prompted to "apply layer mask?". This also has the "do not show again" option -which I clicked by accident. So the default is now to apply layer mask when I drag a layer mask to the trash. I can't think of any way to restore the more traditional function, without restoring all other prefs.
So what I would like is a way to restore the more classic default where dragging a layer mask to trash give me the OPTION to apply or discard.
When I go to do a dimension it changes to the dimension layer and then I have to change back to my object layer is there a way to turn this option off?
