View 11 RepliesI'm printing a letter size document from illustrator at 50% size. All pages have a white background so I would like to have the document print with a black rule/ border around it so I can tell what it will look like. Is there a way to do this without manually putting a rule around all 25 existing artboards? Or is there a way to do this in the Acrobat pdf I'm outputting from this doc?(CS5)
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe problem is almost prehistoric. It dates from the very beginning as far I can tell... whatever image you like to export and whatever its format: png, gif, jpg, there is always one grey pixel border line at the edges. This happens when AA is activated (and deactivate it is not an option if you know what I mean).
I have been reading some threads and no matter what I do: Exporting with or without the background or changing its color... it's always happening.
I Have now installed the trial version of Corel Draw X5 (sp1 included) as I do with every release in order to check out if the problem persist... but no luck for me: nobody seems to be taking care of this issue. I really don't know why Corel is bumping off some many (potentially) buyers like me and many others... why Corel is keeping this issue unresolved year after year, release after release?
Started producing a new catalogue some time ago very happy working away on the first 3 – 4 pages
Before long I was up to 100 pages, looking fantastic. But then the thought come to me, I have set may page colour to BLACK and all my drawing and text are WHITE as I said looks fantastic until you go to print a page. How much black Ink would you use printing 100 pages black.
SO MY QUESTION IS CAN COREL REVERSE THE LINE ART TO BLACK AND THE PAGE TO WHITE SO I CAN HAVE A PRINTABLE VERSION ?
I have tried publishing to PDF then in acrobat replacing document colours and on screen that works fine but when you print it still prints
With the black background and white text for some reason.

i often do a very big and complex mix of logos names and so on.
i´d like to know if ther is any hotkey on how to move any object or a group of objects from far on the page to the page border.
1. Black drop shadow does not appear black when Publish to PDF
2. The object beneath the drop shadow will appear as show below:
I've tried to convert the drop shadow to bitmap but the result is same.
Is there an obvious reason why a polyline would plot grey instead of black? If I select a monochrome plot style table, the lines are black. I noticed certain fonts will plot grey instead of black, but I am stumped on an object.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn MS Publisher, if you move objects off of the page they are in the scratch area. The scratch area enables you to have several objects readily available to you as you layout the page.To hide the scratch area objects and see a clean view of your page, uncheck the Scratch Area option. Objects that are partially on the page will appear clipped so that the portion in the Scratch Area is not shown. How can I do that in Coreldraw?

How to put a lined page border around my page. In MS WORD it is very straight forward but I must be missing the obvious here though my 15 year old daughter can't work it out either which makes her old dad feel a little bit better about it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have created a business card layout in PS 7. It will be on white and I would like to add a very thin double border around it. The only way I know how to create a thin border is by using the rectangle margee to create and merge 4 "strips", but these are too wide.
how I can make thin borders and be able to set the colors? The each need to be different colors.
I'm working on uploading GIFs onto a website I'm working on, I'm testing them on a completely white background #FFFFFF, more specifically the background of the webpage is white. I've saved the GIF with the least amount of colors while maintaining the integrity of the image. I've saved the image with transparency and no matte, there is a thin border around my GIF. I've saved the image with no transparency and the matte matching the webpage background, there is a thin border around my GIF. I've saved my border with transparency unchecked and matching matte color with the background color of the webpage and there is still a thin border around my GIF. I don't know if it has anything with the artboard or what? I've even tried the above and saving it as a PNG and the same happens. I've attached a picture of what the image looks like once uploaded, as you can see it appears in just about anything I design with illustrator.

When I export PDF From Coreldraw X6 black color drop shadow appear in all plates.
Coreldraw X6
PDF preset : prepress
OS : Windows 7 and Windows XP both
I have attached both coreldraw and pdf separation preview file.
when I have a document filling the screen (i.e. click ctrl+0) there is a thin white border surronding the image (see attachment). This does not show at any other magnification. Not happened in any other PS iteration (long word!) Would it be a graphics card issue?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe white border only shows up when i color in a part of the picture, not when its all white and black. I've tried the feather tool but it didn't work. It never happened before when i made my other pictures, it just randomly started!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having an issue with the paint bucket tool; when I fill in an area with the tool it leaves a thin white border between the area and any lines drawn with the paintbrush tool.
(see attachment) how this can be remedied? Since I'm working on a comic and going back over every line filling in the color takes far too much time.
I am using live paint to paint cartoon character illustrations. The artwork is brought into Illustrator CS3 and live traced. Then I convert it to a live paint group and use the paint bucket to fill. Everything looks fine no matter how much I zoom in. If I bring the AI file into Photoshop CS6 I can see a thin white line between the black line art and the fill. This is most noticeable where black meets black. I can also see this sometimes in file previews while browsing through files. If the white line cannot be seen in Illustrator is the file ok? I did just upgrade to CS6 if that would make a difference.

View 7 Replies View RelatedExecutive summary of need: turn a color, line-and-fill Xara image into a very thin black line, no fills, no other colors.
I'm reproducing a 1930s - 1940s decal from a toy crib that we're restoring and repainting. The original decal on the headboard is deteriorated and flaking off, so I decided to reproduce it on clear inkjet waterslide decal paper. (White paper wouldn't work because of the open area between background ovals and the figure itself; here's the reproduced decal image - imagine everything not in color to be a clear area: )
However, since inkjet printing doesn't include opaque white, I need to manually paint white on the decal sheet behind the ovals and the figure to make the colors pop and to prevent the pink-painted crib background from showing through. I'd like to take the Xara image, copy it, then turn the copy into a very light black or gray line with no fills. This becomes guidelines for hand-painting
I'll print the black line version first on the decal sheet, paint white on it, then print the color version over top.How do I transform a copy of the original into my guidelines?

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I write a text in illustrator, there appears a small grey border around the text. When I save it as a pdf or jpg, then it’s gone. So I’m sure it’s not a stroke. It more looks like some kind of path around the text. When I draw another shape (square, circle…) then there is no problem .I’ve reset illustrator (removed the presets) but that didn’t do anything.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I print a bitmap or picture a black line is also printed on top of it, what can I do? since clients don't like that line.
Corel X6, Cor i3, 4 Gb.
I have click CTRL+J and set Layer and than removed Background in Layer.
After I clicked on layer I have also defined shadow.
Why is there not visible result with shadow and how to define also border (possible also round border).
I've stroked around the outside of a person with a black stoke. On a new layer below the stoke layer ive filled the person in but it leaves like a thin white jagged line in between the fill and the stroke and it doesn't look smooth.

A friend of mine has been happily using / importing Sony Nex 7 Raw images into Lightroom 4.2 / 4.3 for a long time when suddenly this happens.
Note the grey border all around the image.
This file was imported with: No develop presetNo metadata preset.Process 2012.Various std in the box profiles. Here is a screen paste of the file dimensions (also showing that it is a raw file and not cropped).
All Sony Nex raw files imported to a particular machine (Win 7, 64 bit) demonstrate this behaviour. So, in trying to trace the problem.
The crop tool was checked to make sure there was no crop applied. They grey border is not just a visual border. If you examine the jpg it is actually grey pixels consuming a large percentage of the native 6000x4000 Nex 7 resolution. The Reset button was pressed also,to make sure the raw file conversion was restored to basecamp.History reset.A raw image imported into the same machine / software from a Nikon D300 behaves perfectly.Previously imported Nex 7 Raw images are ok.When the images are imported into two other machines they imports perfectly.Scrapping the preference file makes no difference.Overlay mode was checked, an overlay image loaded and then overlay mode turned off… just to make sure this was NO overlay.Applying a crop and then removing a crop still leaves the grey border.Applying the crop reduces the image dimensions to approx.. 4946 x 3293. Exporting an image to jpg (as shown) leaves image with grey border. This grey border can be cropped out, but it means the resolution will reduce.Exploring various scene modes / in camera crops / resolution settings on the camera does not seem to make any difference.Formatting the card in the camera, take a picture, import directly from card. 3 different cards used. (No change). When using the Catelog on a different machine the grey border remains.
NB Camera set to RAW + jpeg. Jpeg's import without border.
So finally last night…
……. we uninstalled Lightroom 4.3 and re-installed into a different folder. (No change).
Recently, when I draw a line, it not show the line until done it.
Means, I cant see where is my actual line.
Moreover, when i highlight the object (many objects), it doest show where is my line indicator...
