Feb 26, 2012My CS5 keeps closing seconds after I open it. I don't even have to try and open a file. It just closes down. No warning, no errors, nothing! It was working fine two days ago. I'd rather not be forced to uninstall as I've got effect plugins that I use and that have custom settings.

Nov 18, 2013When I double-click on a photo file (e.g. jpg) Elements 12 opens but the photo isn't in the Editor window. Double-clicking on the photo again opens the photo in the Editor window.
On all the other versions of Elements I have used, one double-click on a file opened Elements and the photo appeared in the Editor window.Is Elements 12 different or is there something I need to change to make this work as it always did?

Dec 25, 2013Whenever I open photos from Lightroom (that already have lightroom adjustments) edit in Photoshop CC only opens Photoshop but does not open the image.
If I open Images with "Edit in Photoshop" that DO NOT HAVE Adjustments, the image will open up in Photoshop correctly. I just came from Windows to Mac.

Dec 24, 2011I've been averaging about 10-15 seconds from clicking on a pic until the program opens and the pic is displayed. Today a .jpg (272KB) took 26 seconds from clicking the pic to PSP opening and displaying it.
I have everything disabled in startup and all non Microsoft services except Protexis unchecked.
PSP ProX4 was just purchased and installed last week and has the latest patch.
Intel 2600K @ 4.5Ghz/8Gb RAM/1Tb main HDD/Asus Radeon 5870/Asus P8P67 Deluxe mobo.

Photoshop :: CS3 Not Responsive Due To Printer
May 7, 2012I have run CS3 for many years on many platforms with two different printers. I upgraded my computer and operating system (basic specs listed below) in January of this year, 2012, and I decided to pare down to one printer: my Epson Stylus Photo R2880, which has been working with it splendidly until this past Friday, 5/4/12. I suddenly started getting the not responding issue when I attempted to open files in not just Photoshop, but my Acrobat as well. I have not updated any drivers in the month of May and I could still use all of my non-adobe software just fine. I looked online and found that it was a known issue. I reset my preferences, I ran a windows de fragment, I swept for spyware, and none of those worked. I set adobe pdf as the default printer for my computer and the "issue was resolved."
The problem remains that when I go into my print dialogue and manually change the target printer to my Epson I cannot print out of any of my Adobe software the not responding issue reasserts itself if any adobe software attempts to communicate with my printer: word, text files, windows viewer and the internet still print just fine off of the Epson. This is a huge problem for me because I run a small home publishing company and I can no longer PRINT out of my work software. Extremely frustrated that this 'fix' is no fix at all for my needs. I am at an utter loss for what to do to have a working office again and would like getting software that has been working perfectly in multiple set ups with multiple printers for since 2009 to work again?
I used to run CS3 on a custom built XP SP3 system with an hp printer, then with and hp and Epson printer. This year I switched to my current system, wiping the old drive as a backup disk and adding a 1T hard drive to hold win 7. It has worked fine for several months of heavy use for my website, greeting cards, and small comic publications. I need this set up to work again or I will go out of business,

Jan 24, 2013I am having major difficulties creating something relatively simple.Basically, I am working with 100% stage width and height and what I want to achieve is following:
1. Have a fixed main menu area on the left side of the screen.
2. And then have raw(s) of thumbnails filling remaining part of the screen to the right in responsive manner (this is what I am struggling with)

AutoCAD LT :: Non-responsive While Switching Between Paper And Model Space
Jan 24, 2012I am getting this problem with my AutoCAD, whenever i am working in paper space and i move around the drawing my AutoCAD will freeze and become non-responsive while "regenerating model". Same thing happens when i switch between paper and model space and vice-versa.
I have gone and updated my AutoCAD with service pack 1 and the "ribbon" hotfix for this problem and it is still there.

1. Isolated out simple functionality
2. Created a stage called 'test' @ 2600x470pxs (targeting HD monitors to tablet)
3. Set Stage to 100 percentage width
4. Added a simple shape called 'test1' > converted it to a symbol
5. Centered on stage
6. Changed Settings as per below
7. Added this into the creationComplete Code Window:

THE RESULT: it is fine at 2600 viewport but for 1024 it does not center.

Dec 2, 2012I cannot share photos from my Elements 8.0 Organizer via email. The program does not recognize that I have an email program loaded. The computer is a new HP desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 operating system. My Elements 8 does everything I need except for the photo sharing so I don't really want to purchase a new version.

Feb 21, 2014New Responsive Scaling feature is great.
It's enabled me to add an Edge Animate file to my responsive Wordpress site using the Edge Suite Plugin.
Only problem for me is that although the 3.7MB file I’ve created scales perfectly on all devices it struggles to play on smartphones. (I assume it's too big and too power hungry to play smoothly on smartphones - even since I've added a pre-loader.)
So, in an ideal world, what I need is a separate low res Edge Animate file that only plays on smartphones.
Failing that, I’d be happy with a 'Down-level Stage' image which could replace the Edge Animate animation.
For a moment I thought I’d found a solution when I came across this Adobe TV movie: [URL]
Unfortunately this clever solution only works when the new Responsive Scaling feature is NOT selected. As soon as it is selected, the animation no longer changes from one layout size to another when the browser window is reduced.
I don’t mind whether the fix is in Edge Animate, Wordpress or the Edge Suite Plugin - I just want a solution!

Oct 11, 2013I can open photoshop but it does not respond to anything, not even the Ctrl key. I have a new pheonix envy and windows 8. I have only used this photoshop program for one editing project. I have tried to reset the preferences with the keyboard shortcuts but nothing happens. I cannot quit the program or close the window. The program is completely frozen everytime I open it and all I can do it restart the computer. What could be causing this? It was working before I edited some photos....
