Photoshop :: Win7 - CS6 Not Responsive?

PS6 was working fine before I noticed it, it no longer open whenever I trigger the .exe. It just won't run.

I have run CS3 for many years on many platforms with two different printers. I upgraded my computer and operating system (basic specs listed below) in January of this year, 2012, and I decided to pare down to one printer: my Epson Stylus Photo R2880, which has been working with it splendidly until this past Friday, 5/4/12. I suddenly started getting the not responding issue when I attempted to open files in not just Photoshop, but my Acrobat as well. I have not updated any drivers in the month of May and I could still use all of my non-adobe software just fine. I looked online and found that it was a known issue. I reset my preferences, I ran a windows de fragment, I swept for spyware, and none of those worked. I set adobe pdf as the default printer for my computer and the "issue was resolved."
The problem remains that when I go into my print dialogue and manually change the target printer to my Epson I cannot print out of any of my Adobe software the not responding issue reasserts itself if any adobe software attempts to communicate with my printer: word, text files, windows viewer and the internet still print just fine off of the Epson. This is a huge problem for me because I run a small home publishing company and I can no longer PRINT out of my work software. Extremely frustrated that this 'fix' is no fix at all for my needs. I am at an utter loss for what to do to have a working office again and would like getting software that has been working perfectly in multiple set ups with multiple printers for since 2009 to work again?
I used to run CS3 on a custom built XP SP3 system with an hp printer, then with and hp and Epson printer. This year I switched to my current system, wiping the old drive as a backup disk and adding a 1T hard drive to hold win 7. It has worked fine for several months of heavy use for my website, greeting cards, and small comic publications. I need this set up to work again or I will go out of business,

Win 7 OS. I am trying to use the light effect filter and when I select it photoshop gets locked up and won't respond until I end task in task manager (it says photoshop not responding in task manager). Is there a fix for this? I did all of my updates and it still happens.

i found an odd behavior 10 or 15 adjustament layer ,the levels adjustament layer become slow or to be more specific not very responsive , with opengl turn on i have to be honest it's about only the levels with opengl Off the levels adjustament is always perfect
i did notice with openglon this icon , i added a screenshot with a red arrowwell if i click on the icon , it takes 2 seconds and the levels become very fast with opengl on is normal? is there a way to let cs5 to re-calculate the histogram everytime i add a levels adjustament layer? why does it happen with opengl?

I'm working on a drawing where I've been turning on/off a layer for parcels so I can select a well (point coverage/theme) or the parcel to get well owner and property information. All of a sudden I can't select the layer anymore - the checkbox becomes unresponsive. C3D and not map for this...

I am having major difficulties creating something relatively simple.Basically, I am working with 100% stage width and height and what I want to achieve is following:
1. Have a fixed main menu area on the left side of the screen.
2. And then have raw(s) of thumbnails filling remaining part of the screen to the right in responsive manner (this is what I am struggling with)

I am getting this problem with my AutoCAD, whenever i am working in paper space and i move around the drawing my AutoCAD will freeze and become non-responsive while "regenerating model". Same thing happens when i switch between paper and model space and vice-versa.
I have gone and updated my AutoCAD with service pack 1 and the "ribbon" hotfix for this problem and it is still there.

I am surprised at how much of a challenge this has turned into

1. Isolated out simple functionality
2. Created a stage called 'test' @ 2600x470pxs (targeting HD monitors to tablet)
3. Set Stage to 100 percentage width
4. Added a simple shape called 'test1' > converted it to a symbol
5. Centered on stage
6. Changed Settings as per below
7. Added this into the creationComplete Code Window:

THE RESULT: it is fine at 2600 viewport but for 1024 it does not center.

I just bought a new computer. I've seen some mention about incompatability issues. The last thing I want to do is start deleting everything on my new machine. It has Premire elements 10 on it. I read something about a caps database. I have renamed it but still get the same corrupt DB error. What can I do to install my CS4 and not delete other files on my new machine?

I have an animate file that contains many animations and one motion path animation. All animation elements of the animate file are responsive with the exception of the motion path animation which is not for some reason. My Dell computer running WIN7 just died and we have replaced it with an iMac running Parallels/WIN7. I have tried to install my CS4 on the new machine and have the following problem. Disk 1 loads fine and goes to the end and asks for Disk 2. I insert Disk 2 and it won't continue the install. I have opened the disk and all files are in good shape.

I am using PS CS6 on my win7 computer. This is my issue: I want to change the blue color of this button[URL]...to this green color([URL].... I want to have the color exactly the same. So
1. I open the green color button, in Image->Adjustments->Replace color, I got the property of the color, which is: H:110 S:62 B:73 R:90 G:186 B:71, L:68 a:-46 b:48 C:67 M:0 Y:99 K:0 #5aba47, I wrote down these values,
2. I open the blue color button, in Image->Adjustments->Replace color, replacement->result, I input all the values of green color, and I save the file. They are all png format.
3. I open the one I just made[URL]... I found the value is different from what I have input, the value was changed to H:110 S:60 B:72 R:91 G:183 B:71, L:67 a:-44 b:46 C:68 M Y:99 K:0 #5bb749
So why this happened(value changed)? And if I want to make the color of two buttons EXACTLY the same, is there any way I can do it in PS?

I just updated my PS to 13.1 and after i restarted my system and continued to work with PS, it freezes plenty of times.
At first it was at random but then i could reproduce the error. When i try to scroll to the end of the styles list, PS will display the styles list not properly (see image below). When this happens i can't press anything else. I have to kill PS via the Task Manager.Never had a problem with PS before neither did i update something else in the meantime.
My System:
Intel Core i5 2500K
16 GB RAM
NVidia GeForce GTS 450Samsung SSD 830 Series
Windows 7 64Bit (Service Pack1)
I did a system restore now because i have to finish my work. PS 13.0.1 works fine, no issues. But not to update can't be the final solution...

I have been haveing severe catalog issues for the last week after installing Windows 7.
I decided to insert my original HDD in my laptop, along with the new HDD and Windows 7. I then deleted the MY Pictures folder from the new HDD and copied the My Pictures folder from my old HDD to the new.
Since I felt my newly restored catalog file was corrupted, I wanted to copy the catalog file from my old HDD to the new one. I renamed the folder on my old drive by appending 'old' to the end of it, doing the same to the catalog .db file within the folder, then dragged the folder to the Program Data/Adobe/Elements Data/Catalogs folder.
I fired up PSE9 holding the Shift key to select the catalog that I was using on my old drive. It would not let me select the folder or find the catalog file in the folder. I tried creating a new catalog file, but the message "Catalog file with same name already exists in that folder".
I then just tried to point to the catalog file on my old drive, (btw, using 'custom' option in the catalog management window), and it still would not let me open the file. I say it won't let me open the catalog because, when I navigate to the folder with the catalog name, even single and double clicking on it, I don't get the 'Open' button on the Catalog Management window highlighted.
Is there something I am missing about catalog files? Do the have to be registered somehow within Elements before I can use them.

I've combed through the forums and tried every fix that I've read, however nothing has worked. I've just been given a new work laptop with a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit Enterprise Edition running SP1. Full administrator privledges.I am attempting to install Adobe Photoshop CS3 straight from the DVD, so no updates, patches, etc.
After running either the autorun or directly setup.exe within the Adobe CS3 folder, the Initializing Adobe Photoshop CS3 bar makes it between 80-90% before jumping to the Loading Setup screen where I'm presented with the error, "Critical errors were found in setup.
OK, the support pages have had me look for "FATAL" (case sensitive) within the setup log. It appears on the very last line of the 80 mb text file. Here's the surrounding elements:

When pinned in Win7 taskbar and using small icons option, CS6 icon is replaced by some kind of default Win icon. OK when using normal icon size.

When using a responsive Stage (what is crucial to my project, because I need 100% width on all window sizes) the placement ot the symbol is dependent on the size of the window and the position on the screen. Here is an example of the problem: [url]....

Undo in Adjustment layer in Photoshop CC doesn't work well. When I made undo, the photo would go back, but "Properties Panel" doesn't go back. It still keeps the same value before undoing.
Properties Panel would go correct value, after I select a another layer and select adjustment layer again. I checked all of adjustment layers, and I found that most of them has the same behavior. (Between Brightness/Contrast... and Selective Color...)

Most the the Creative Suite misbehaves with respect to the Windows 7 taskbar. One behavior that's particularly unproductive is seeing a bunch of gray icons for open application windows, and having the associated full size peek image grayed out too. I frequently work with many open image windows that I prefer to keep undocked. If they're minimized, more often than not there's a gray taskbar preview.
Once I click on the thumbnail and activate a window, the thumbnail taskbar image updates. But when I switch between applications, the updated thumbnails will usually go blank next time I peek at the PS6 taskbar.

I cannot record into a HP laptop with win7. VX3using. I can do it with another one using Vista. What could the problem be? Using Canon HV 20. What sould the setting be? It plays and I can control the camera with VX3. But after I test for 30 seconds it says "cannot save file corrupt" or somethong to that effect.

I've just been testing out the new X3 Video Studio and I was wondering if I have missed some settings somwhere.
It's running horribly slow, I was kind of expecting it to be lighting fast on my machine, which is a 8 CORE processor with 12GB ram on Windows7 Ultimate.
Is it me, or have other people experienced this slowness on their systems as well?
