My CS5 keeps closing seconds after I open it. I don't even have to try and open a file. It just closes down. No warning, no errors, nothing! It was working fine two days ago. I'd rather not be forced to uninstall as I've got effect plugins that I use and that have custom settings.
View 8 RepliesI've been averaging about 10-15 seconds from clicking on a pic until the program opens and the pic is displayed. Today a .jpg (272KB) took 26 seconds from clicking the pic to PSP opening and displaying it.
I have everything disabled in startup and all non Microsoft services except Protexis unchecked.
PSP ProX4 was just purchased and installed last week and has the latest patch.
Intel 2600K @ 4.5Ghz/8Gb RAM/1Tb main HDD/Asus Radeon 5870/Asus P8P67 Deluxe mobo.
Why is PaintShop Pro X4 so crazy slow to open?
I have tried to update everything is current.
I tried to open jpeg-gif-png and PSD nothing will open.
tried creating new file and the new box wont show.
Just installed PS CC.Program opens but is non-responsive.Windows 7.

On all the other versions of Elements I have used, one double-click on a file opened Elements and the photo appeared in the Editor window.Is Elements 12 different or is there something I need to change to make this work as it always did?
I'm using AutoCAD 2008 -English SP1.
I'm having an issue that when I open AutoCAD and press any key on the keyboard the program kicks me out and closes with no error messages or anything. Just pooof and gone.

Whenever I open photos from Lightroom (that already have lightroom adjustments) edit in Photoshop CC only opens Photoshop but does not open the image.

If I open Images with "Edit in Photoshop" that DO NOT HAVE Adjustments, the image will open up in Photoshop correctly. I just came from Windows to Mac.
I get it on closing the Video Studio Pro 14.1.0.107.(S.Pac 2) I initialy got it when trying Corel's trial download so went and bought the Package, retail, thinking (foolishly) that that would solve the problem. I have spent hours on line with Corel Tech who said it was a conflict with jscript.dll in Explorer 9. I reverted back to Explorer 8 but no luck. It makes no difference whether V.S has files active or not so it is not a function of source files.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAutocad freezes for a few seconds every 30-60 seconds. it did this on my previous full autocad 2011 and now on 2012. i have also had a reinstall. it also does it on the other users computers in the office and also those on LT.
the freeze is rondom. it can be triggered by commands, escape button, panning arround the drawing. The problem occurs periodically for say 1 day every few days autocad will have pauses. But other days its fast with no problems.
i have tried all the usual things for slow down. purge, audit, layerdlgmode. I do not think it is general slow down.
In Lightroom 4.2 when open and I want to edit in PSE 10, I go to Photo, edit in PSE 10, and PSE 10 opens, but there is no image. I want to edit in PSE 10 and can't. Using LR 4.2, and attempting to edit in PSE 10, PSE 10 opens but no image opens to edit

I open it, it opens fine, then windows tells me photoshop has stopped working. I've restarted, re-installed and tried over and over, but it won't stay open for longer than 5 seconds. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a very fast PC (only takes about 6 seconds for Photoshop to start) but no matter if I open a TIFF or JPEG file, it takes about 7 seconds for the file to open (TIFF is only about 7 MB). It tried this with many different files on the local drive or the network drive and have the same results.
Interestingly, when using the Image Processor or the Web Photo Gallery, then the file opens in a split second. I have a 2nd PC running CS3 as well under XP and have compared Photoshop settings and everything is identical. The 2nd PC doesn't have any issues with these files.
I have even tried the suggestion to switch from a network printer to a local one - doesn't make any difference.
My Photoshop Elements freezes up after 30 seconds to 3 minutes of use. What can I do to fix this?

How can I fix this? My only work around right now is to know the tool shortcut and then to cycle through it with shift+tool shortcut.
Since some updates ago Illustrator CC hangs every few seconds. It is hard to work with it. It seems the problem occurs only with files where other files placed/included. Illustrator is reading data from the network, every few seconds.

How do I get AE to Ram preview more than a couple of seconds. Even when I close out of AE and reopen it does the same thing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to learn what can be done using HDR Toning in Photoshop CS5. At first I was impressed by its capabilities. I was working on a photograph of a train in a wooded valley in eary spring (before most leaves were out), with bright sunlight coming from almost straight overhead. So, the top of the train and the ballast in front of the train are very bright, the woods to the sides were shadowed, and the sides and nose of the train were in deep shadow. HDR Toning seemed to be giving me very nice control over adjusting the various tones. But when I closed the HDR Toning window, PhotoShop thought for a couple of seconds, and then changed my image, making it much darker than it was when the window was open!Â

What's going on here? Is this expected behavior? How can I get HDR Toning to keep my photograph from changing after I close the window?
I had this issue twice already when closing files without saving expecting to ask me what to do with the file of course. But it didn't ask a thing.
