When I double-click on a photo file (e.g. jpg) Elements 12 opens but the photo isn't in the Editor window. Double-clicking on the photo again opens the photo in the Editor window.
On all the other versions of Elements I have used, one double-click on a file opened Elements and the photo appeared in the Editor window.Is Elements 12 different or is there something I need to change to make this work as it always did?
I have tried to update everything is current.
I tried to open jpeg-gif-png and PSD nothing will open.
tried creating new file and the new box wont show.
Just installed PS CC.Program opens but is non-responsive.Windows 7.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been averaging about 10-15 seconds from clicking on a pic until the program opens and the pic is displayed. Today a .jpg (272KB) took 26 seconds from clicking the pic to PSP opening and displaying it.
I have everything disabled in startup and all non Microsoft services except Protexis unchecked.
PSP ProX4 was just purchased and installed last week and has the latest patch.

Why is PaintShop Pro X4 so crazy slow to open?
I cannot share photos from my Elements 8.0 Organizer via email. The program does not recognize that I have an email program loaded. The computer is a new HP desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 operating system. My Elements 8 does everything I need except for the photo sharing so I don't really want to purchase a new version.

When I double click a jpg file to open it in the editor the editor opens but the image does not open. However if I open the editor and open any jpg file then double click on another file it will open.

All worked correctly immed. after first install. Closed down PsE and then tried to reopen; the opening screen displayed and I was able to open the Organiser. Nothing happened when when I tried to open the editor from the Organiser. Closed down and then tried opening the editor from the opening screen - this screen closed and no editor appeared.
Logged off Windows and tried PsE again - all worked correctly until I closed down then as before.
Reinstall of PsE - no difference. Tried the 6 suggestions by a contributor to a similar problem 2 days ago - no difference. Premiere Elements 11 works correctly at all times.
I have been using PSE 6 happily on my iMac under OS 10.6.8. Now it won't open fully. I get a blank opening screen and functionality. Tried deleting and copying my programme from backup but same result. The installer only works once. What can I do.

Can't drag or scroll the window down except for the lower rh corner. All updates are installed. Restart doesn't work. I also tryed to move it to another workspace. No support of that either.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe Organizer and the Editor stopped working together in just 1 of my catalogs. It happens to be the catalog in which I have done the most image manipulations such as renaming, stacking, albums, rating, etc. Now, when I select a photo in Organizer and click on Fix, Edit, the Editor window comes up but the photo does not appear in Editor. The only way I can get an image into Editor is to pull it directly into Editor. Then, when I want to save it as a Version Set I have to choose File> Organize Open File in order to save the image as a version set. Other than deleting and re-creating the catalog, how can I get Editor to open the image from Organizer like it used to do?

While editing a photo in CS3 the program shut down and will not reopen my psd file. The error message reads "cannot complete your request because of a program error" -- it is a very large file (I have been saving it all along) and I had just "flattened layers" and went to open up a new, blank photo file when it shut down. The program bar (is that how it is called?) is missing, so it is impossible to toggle between draw and photo paint. Coreldraw does show the program bar. Changing monitor resolution did not work, neither did reinstalling. On another computer of mine, with W XP there is no problem.

However, when I do this - the image does not paste in at the same size. It typically shrinks down in size. Do I have to save the file, close out and then open the new doc and PLACE it in the document in order for it to keep size? There must be a better way to do this. Basically, how can I drag a photo that is 4x6 over to a new doc while keeping the size at 4x6.

The Screen and Multiply blend modes seem to change EV by about one. Naturally, this can't recover pixels at (0, 0, 0) or (255, 255, 255) but it comes close with most other values.
