View 3 Replies View RelatedI am running CS5.5 on a MacBookPro. When I try to use Mini Bridge the little gray panel opens up but there is no "browse files" button, I can't open settings, I can't search, I can't do anything with it! Bridge works works just fine. I am including a screen shot of my MB window to show what I am seeing. I have tried everything I could think of including restarting Bridge and PS. Is there something else I need to try other than a complete reinstall of the App, which I will not do just to get MB to work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm currently using Lightroom 3 on a 17' Samsung Syncmaster 920NW on two different desktops. The hardware configuration for each machine is also identical, with only a few minor exceptions. However, the images on one machine display drastically differently in Lightroom, as opposed to any other Windows application. I've updated the video drivers for both computers, reinstalled the monitor drivers for both, and have uninstalled/reinstalled Lightroom on both with no success in remedying the discrepancy.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI process my images to taste in LR4 and then export them as jpgs in the sRGB color space. When I open them in programs like "Windows Picture Viewer" they look just like they do in LR but when I upload it to my website or view it in a program like IrfanView the images look terribly over-saturated. I should also mention that it seems like I need to add quite a bit more saturation than normal to get them looking right in LR. I'm guessing that there is some setting that I have wrong.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have CS6 running under W7 64bit. For some reason, when I open up WE from within CS6 to select a file to work on, WE always opens maximised. I think this is new on my system.
Is there any way to get it back to open not-maximised, Same problem occurs when I open WE in CS4 but not in PE11. Googling hasn't produced an answer yet. My display is large and searching across the whole of it is a chore.
When I open "Image>Image size" for example, the dialogue window that opens appear half way off-screen, and I can't access it. The only way for me to close it is to use the Esc button.
Every time I open one of theese windows, they wander off a couple of pixels, until they can't be reached. Sure, I can try to reset their position manually each time I use them, but that's not how it's supposed to be.
I need a way to reset all windows positions. The workspace options doesn't seem to include the dialogue windows, so that's no use.
Photoshop CC opens and hangs in windows 7 ultimate x64 bit. I have more than sufficient system specifications but it crashes everytime i open it, it hasn't worked once and i then cannot close photoshop, even via the task manager, i have to restart the system everytime.

But still, I want to use OpenGL.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm attempting to use CS3 on a Dell laptop- 64 bit- Windows 7.
When first installed it worked fine, then suddenly it was non-functional. It will open, but ANY request at all will cause it to freeze. I have to close it through Task Manager. I get no error messages, and when I went in to view the event viewer there is nothing there under Applications.
I've changed the default printer to a non-network but haven't done much else as I don't have administrative privileges on this (work) computer. We tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that did nothing.
I wanted everyone to find it. In the older Windows programs, you can choose which program opens in editing, but in Windows 7 that feature is disabled. If you download the following program, click File Type Settings > Context Menu > then, for example "PNG" extension-- you can choose which program OPENS a PNG, which program EDITS a PNG, etc. That way you can view a photo in Windows Photo Viewer, but edit in Photoshop. View 2 Replies View RelatedI run Windows XP Professional, and have made Microsoft Photo Editor my default image editor. I do not wish to change this. Until recently when I installed Photoshop CS3, I could preview any image file in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer by right-clicking and selecting Preview. Now, however, attempting to preview a .bmp file launches Photoshop CS3 (.jpg and .gif files still preview in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer).
View 3 Replies View Relatedwhat happens when I open up an existing AutoCad drawing (with no other AutoCAD applications running); I get a "dummy" screen (to the left) and the target drawing (to the right.)
It seems to me the dummy screen is unnecessary and would like to get rid this pet-peeve from my AutoCAd experience.
When I double-click on a photo file (e.g. jpg) Elements 12 opens but the photo isn't in the Editor window. Double-clicking on the photo again opens the photo in the Editor window.
On all the other versions of Elements I have used, one double-click on a file opened Elements and the photo appeared in the Editor window. Is Elements 12 different or is there something I need to change to make this work as it always did?
I have a feeling this may come under the heading of 'dumb queries'. Nonetheless: Illustrator CS6 (Mac OS X 10.6) has just started opening documents with the working window hard left of the screen, rather than immediately tot he right of the toolbar. I hope the attached graphic makes this clear:
This happens when opening documents by double-clicking in the Finder and by using File > Open in Illustrator itself.I've tried resetting preferences; and moving the window to the correct position, creating a new workspace and restarting Illustrator. Sadly neither action works.
With a window saying the trial period for this product is expired. I made sure that pps is closed, it's still doing it. I threw pps in the garbage, emptied it, still doing it. I had PS for many years, always doubled clicked CR2 on the desktop, I now drag them.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am running Photoshop CS6 (Creative Cloud subscription) on a Windows 8 machine. While Photoshop itself starts perfectly OK when I click on the Bridge ikon I get a revolving little circle for a few seconds, then nothing. The same happens when I try to start it from within Photoshop. Mini Bridge says it can't start without full bridge running.
How to get Bridge to run. The only clue I can give to what could be the problem is that I had CS2 running on the machine prior to installing CS6 and I wonder if there is still some detritus from that installation hanging around. By the way I have searched the forum and tried most of the cures suggested in the past for similar problems on earlier versions of Photoshop. It is a anoyance rather than a game stopper for me as I manage my photo library using Light room but I would like to sort the problem out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've installed CS6 (CS5 is still on the machine), and in the Bridge Menu, there is no longer a Batch menu item for initiating actions. In Bridge's Edit/Preference command, I have the Startup Scripts checked. There are no files in the "Startup Scripts" folder.
I don't see a "Startup Scripts" folder in CS5, only in CS6.I can still do batch operations directly from Photoshop CS6's automate window, however, I like the ability in Bridge to select specific files on which to run the action.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use LR4.4 for cataloging my photos and most of my editiing. Periodically I will go from LR to Photoshop CS6 (like most everyone) for additional edits. Can I open a photo in ACR directly from Photoshop CS6 (not via Bridge?)
I want to go directly from LR to ACR in Photoshop without going through bridge. It seems if I have to use Bridge, I loose the connection between LR and Photoshop.
I have recently upgraded from AutoCAD 2008 to 2001. Now when opening a file from windows explorer (desktop vs the AutoCAD browser) and AutoCAD is not running. AutoCAD will startup and open a new drawing as well as bring up the dialog box for finding a file to open, which I cancel, THEN open the drawing that I have selected. I have not seen this before and am wondering what variable or option is causing to happen. I am also seeing two icons for the same drawing file in the Windows task bar.
View 2 Replies View RelatedInstead of opening the psd-file normally from bridge into photoshop the file converts to smart object.
I used to work with CS3 where double-clicking in Bridge on a psd-file would open it in Photoshop. Now, when I double click in Bridge (CS6) it opens a "quick time pro" file, which I definitely don't want. When I use the right mouse to "place in Photoshop" it does so, but then automatically converts the file into a smart object, which I don't want either. What need I do to open a psd-file in Bridge as normal psd-file in Photoshop?
