Since some updates ago Illustrator CC hangs every few seconds. It is hard to work with it. It seems the problem occurs only with files where other files placed/included. Illustrator is reading data from the network, every few seconds.
All my files are on a Synology NAS. Just I have setup a complete clean new system. No changes. The problem is still there.Using a PC with a 3.5G i7, 32GB Ram.
Autocad freezes for a few seconds every 30-60 seconds. it did this on my previous full autocad 2011 and now on 2012. i have also had a reinstall. it also does it on the other users computers in the office and also those on LT.
the freeze is rondom. it can be triggered by commands, escape button, panning arround the drawing. The problem occurs periodically for say 1 day every few days autocad will have pauses. But other days its fast with no problems.
i have tried all the usual things for slow down. purge, audit, layerdlgmode. I do not think it is general slow down.
when i go to open or save a file in illustrator, the pop up box will only last 2 seconds? i just recently installed the new maverick osx but it was working fine yesterday.
I have a client that installed CS6 Productiom Premium with a volume license on multiple Mac Pros and is saying that Illustrator hangs upon launch, meaning, it will take 1-2 minutes to launch the program. Out of all the computers he has installed the software with, one does not have an issue with start-up and launches almost immediately. He is currently looking on his end what is different on that machine compared to the others.
I have walked him through the steps in deleting his Font cache and resetting his preferences and he still reports a hang-up on launch.
I posted another thread yesterday trying to figure this issue out. Illustrator does NOT actually crash, instead it hangs and simply becomes unresponsive when trying to open a handful of files. I have been reading other threads similar to this and have addressed all of the issues that seemed to have resolved the problem for other people, i.e. reset preferences, reinstalled illlustrator several times and removed preferences, etc. I do have a Wacom Bamboo tablet, but I have removed the driver and files from my Mac. But, it seems odd that the Wacom plugin would cause only a select handful of files to become unresponsive. I have a lot of work that needs to be done but I can't take a step further without Illustrator working properly!
When I close Illutrator CS5 the application hangs and the windows "this application is not responding" message appears. I have now seen this on 3 different PC's (including a Desktop, Laptop and MacMini Server) all running Windows 7 64bit.Here's the Event log details:
I have a few users which are all experiencing the same issue. They didn't seem to have this issue until upgrading from CS5 to CS6.
Basically AI stops responding (usually permanantly hangs and requires restarting app) for at least 30 seconds when trying to copy an image from AI into PS. The method they're using is to directly select the image from AI and then simply paste directly into PS (I know there are other methods of doing this but this is apparently the way they have always done it).
Their machines are very well spec'd OS - Win7 64-bit RAM - 8 to 32GB! CPU - i7 INTEL GPU - Standard (but compatible) and has latest drivers but disabled by PS as i suspect it's not quite grunty enough? Win7 has been fully updated as well as all Adobe products / Drivers etc...
I have tweaked both AI & PS (including the File Handling & Clipboard setting which enables AICB) for better performance. I think I have basically tried everything and confused as this wasn't a problem when they were using CS5?
We are having an issue with CS4 and CS6 with a couple of users who are using Windows 7 64bit. Previously the users were using CS4 on Windows XP 32 bit.
The program seems to open ok and the user is able to create, save and open new files, the issue seems to be when the users try to open files that they previously created. The behavior they see is that the files take between 5 and 10 mins to open (even if stored locally) and the programs hangs when they then try to do anything with the files.
The are using the same hardware, the only difference being that the OS has been migrated to Windows 7 64 bit. CS4 and CS6 were then installed cleanly onto the machines. The users have the same issue with both CS4 and CS6 with their existing files.
Since last thursday we have been having major issues opening files from our network share on server 2012. Everytime we go to open an .ai it hangs illustrator for about 15-20 seconds?
This has only started happening to all 3 machines we have
Our network is 1GB links, 2 of our computers are massive spec, i5's 16gb ddr3 1600, ssds......., other one slightly older ddr2 no ssd (problem exists on them all)
If we drag the file to the desktop then open, this is instant but reading from the server is being a nightmare!
I'm having a problem that whenever I used Arabian language which I have bought from a company named Scribedoor, the illsutrator will hang on me. Sometimes, after I had saved the file it will be corrupted.
I've having stuck here as Scibedoor technical support does not support my region.
Photoshop CC (Newest update) crashes every time I double-click on a vector-layer created in Illustrator! It should automatically open the layer in Illustrator but all I see is the 'Wheel of Death'!?(OSX 10.8.4 - Adobe CC)
I successfully updated Photoshop to the new CC version, but when I launch it I go through the splash screen, then everything seems OK, but after a couple of second it crashes and quits.
I tried repairing permissions, etc. but no luck.how can I get it to work?good thing I didn't uninstall the CS6 version, so I can continue using it.
When I use the timeline everything goes from 00:00sec to 00:24sec then it gabs to 01:00 and so on.... Why is that and can I change it to use 60sec instead?
My video studio pro x5 plays for 2 seconds and then stops in my timeline. This occurs after I've splt and deleted some audio and/or put in a transition. Here are my computer specs:
Brand: Dell Laptop Processsor Intel(R) Cor (TM) i7 CPU Q820 #1.73GHz 1.73GHz Ram: 8GB System Type: 64 Bit Operating System Pen and Touch: Pen and Touch is available through 80 touch points
My CS5 keeps closing seconds after I open it. I don't even have to try and open a file. It just closes down. No warning, no errors, nothing! It was working fine two days ago. I'd rather not be forced to uninstall as I've got effect plugins that I use and that have custom settings.
How can we extend the timeline duration to more than 10 seconds in Photoshop cs6 extended for a 3D object layer? It seems you can not make it longer than 10 seconds. Other layers can be made longer.
I had photoshop CS4, and it's been working fine since I've gotten it, but yesterday I started having this weird issue. I open it, it opens fine, then windows tells me photoshop has stopped working. I've restarted, re-installed and tried over and over, but it won't stay open for longer than 5 seconds. My mother gave me CS6 to replace CS4.
Using VideoStudio X4. I Have a JVC VHS unit which captures video perfectly fine. It's connected via firewire from the JVC unit into a firewire 2 adapter and into the iMac. However I also have a Sony 8mm playerGV - D800E unit which plays back via the preview pain on X4 fine, but as soon as you hit capture, it runs for 9 seconds and stops and it does capture 9 seconds of footage. I've run the Sony unit with other apps and it works fine. Just with X4 I have issues with. Tried switching between DVD (array of differnt setting) and DV (Type1 and 2) but with no luck.
I also tried connecting the Digital Sony 8MM player via a video capture device (Canopus ADVC110), same result. It captures video for 9 seconds, VS stops capturing, and the player continues and play's back on the viewer in VS.
I found where I can make a video backdrop for a DVD menu, but the limit appears to be 30 seconds. This is not the case in other programs. Is there a workaround?
I have a very fast PC (only takes about 6 seconds for Photoshop to start) but no matter if I open a TIFF or JPEG file, it takes about 7 seconds for the file to open (TIFF is only about 7 MB). It tried this with many different files on the local drive or the network drive and have the same results.
Interestingly, when using the Image Processor or the Web Photo Gallery, then the file opens in a split second. I have a 2nd PC running CS3 as well under XP and have compared Photoshop settings and everything is identical. The 2nd PC doesn't have any issues with these files.
I have even tried the suggestion to switch from a network printer to a local one - doesn't make any difference.
The scene i am working on is relatively light , and i am still running into this , everytime i go to select a mesh nothing happens for what seems to be ages (4-6 seconds) and then the mesh becomes selected. then if i go to select another mesh , the same. This is really slowing down my artist flow and making the work become a chore.
I have lightroom version 4.2 running on Windows 7.
When I import images, if I spend too long slecting the images I want to import from my memory card, the Import source is lost and all my selections are lost. It is driving me roudn the bend! Is there something I am missing?
I'm doing' music and animation, but I want to place markers every few seconds, or consistently to the bpm. It would save me a WHOLE not lot, but ton, of time.
I have photoshop Cs6 and I am trying to make an animation with an avi file that is about 4 seconds long. anyway when i import the avi file and it loads and the preview pops up and it shows half of my video has been cut off.
I am using Photoshop CS6 on a Mac, OS 10.8.2. When I go to File/File Info... and look for the date a photo was created, I only see the time to the level of minutes. I need to know to the level of seconds. I believe earlier versions gave this information.
