View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a replacement plug in similar to the "Variations" command that was thoughtlessly aborted in CS6... ANYTHING SIMILAR AT ALL.
I know what all you "pros" will say, but I have been using it since it was created and I like it
i have taken an picture from the internet, and from RGB i have converted it to CMYK the background is supposed to be black as well as the picture that fades into it. after i print the final image,i can see 2 variations of black on my image all though both blacks have same colour value.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI often use the Image>Adjust Variations option in Photoshop but do not see the option in Photoshop CS6. I know we are still only in the BETA stage but I hope it is not going to be dropped. I like to use it for quick fixes on small portions of the image every now and again:)
View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm well aware that there are variations between images, but this new project is just baffling me.On medium setting I have image that are 400mb, and others that are only 50 mb.
This last one that is 50 mb is color, with a lot of dark, blacks, I would have thought it would have been on higher end but is 50, very low weight.
I need to use Color Variations under the Enhance > Adjust Color menu, but it's greyed out when I scan in an image. I know it doesn't work with Indexed Color images, but I don't think that's what I'm scanning in. I'm using Photoshop Elements 9 and an Epson Perfection V700 Photo scanner.
Looking for the steps for scanning so that I can actually use this option? It's very important.
My PC operating Microsoft XP had to be replaced. I was using Adobe Photoshop6.0, serial #<deleted>. That program is lost to me and I am now using Photoshop 2.0. I cannot find a way to adjust for different media types; that is, plain paper, glossy photo paper, etc. How do I make the adjustments to accommodate a variety of media using Photoshop 2.0 and can I get access or download Photoshop 6.0?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI use the variations adjustment almost exclusively to manipulate art and prepare for flexographic printing. With flexo printing we can not let separations drop off to 0% within an image. We are still film based output. The smallest percentage for highlights that will hold on plate is 2%. If there are any areas within the image that fall below 2% the plate may or may not hold that dot which in turn may or may not result in mountain ranging or dirty print once on press.
Using the magic wand > tolerance > contigous on or off depending of situation, I can make pinpoint selections to those problem areas then adjust using variations > highlights > fine > with each time I select darker it adds 1%.I'm using CS5 in 32-bit mode. Since upgrading to CS6 with no option of running in 32-bit mode I've been testing the shadows/highlight option for these adjustments. While it does work, it is not as accurate as variations.
Curves seems to be the best alternative solution to variations. With the Pigment/Ink% selected and Output at 2% I've saved a preset that automatically adds 2% to each cmy. Or I can adjust individual channels separately.
Using the variations option was much quicker than curves which overtime slows my production. I edit 15 plus images a day. That extra 2 or 3 minutes it takes me to perform the same task in curves that I could perform with variations adds up to about an hour a day.
I minimized then maximized Max and the panel was gone. hid and revealed in the roll-up...no go. Restarted...nopeLoaderd a maxstart file from Max 2011...no 32 bit Windows XP sp2 i7 Quadro 3500 4 gigs

When I highlight the same nefs on my Mac(10.6.8) & "get info", I get another file size. D800e files are about 103 MB each at 8 bit, but can vary dramatically when I open them in Bridge or Cs5.

So with black background it is not visible.
But.... in an other drawing it is white....
It seem to be a variable saved in the drawing?
I've just discovered my Command Line Box at the bottom of the screen is missing in action...not sure what I did to loose it. Any COMMAND to get it back?

When shooting Canon 5DII in JPG, Adobe Elements and Lightroom both import the complete images with all variations selected under the cameras Picture Style settings. When shooting in RAW, Adobe ignores these variables and imports ONLY the RAW image directly from the image sensor, ignoring all settings selected under Picture Styles. This is true in both sRGB and AdobeRGB.There is nothing about this in the Canon 5DII manual. This makes Picture Styles useless when shooting in RAW !?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI like the new feature in 2012 where I can type a couple of letters at the Command Prompt and get several commands to pick from but I would like to have the command alias back (for me) such as typing E and the Erase command would be there. I went to Express Tools and loaded the acad.pgp file; typed RE-INIT at command prompt but there was not change. Closed the program and restarted and still no change. When I type E, the first command is EATTEDIT. I don't see any of the aliases abbreviations. How do I get these to show up?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a part with a curve in it. I want to tabulate CoG position vs the degree of curve which is controlled by a dimension.
Is there a quick way to set this up so i'm not manually changning the dimension and recording the CoG every time?
When drafting either in model space or paperspace, eventually either the command line disappears completely "OR" the command line area increases and prevents me from seeing the tab sheets for accessing paperspace "OR" the mouse arrow gets stuck outside of the drawing area. This is the most non-productive program here after all these years (the worst version ever)
I either have to do one of the following, in order, hopefully to achieve being able to continue to draft;
1. double click the 2D Wireframe in the upper LH corner of the drawing plane.
2. envoke "Task Manager" but then cancel.
3. turn off the Autocad program and start over.
I loaded 2013 Civil 3D and I customized my Ribbon with Zoom Commands I use frequently; everything looked fine...I changed the Workspace to Planning & Analysis and cutomized my Ribbon to include the Zoom Commands but a Button Icon for ZOOM_TO_POINT came up with a cloud & question mark. I went to look for the Icon Image & I don't see it. I made the mistake of changing the Icon to another hoping I could change it back but it's not there. I went to the 2012 verison & the Button Icon is there...first icon listed. Where are the icons in 2012 so I can drag & drop image into 2013?
The icon has a point symbol with a magnifying glass. I've checked other computers and the same thing. Can't find the Image Icon for ZOOM_TO_POINT. It shows up when you load the software but if you want to edit it...it's not there in the CUI Button Icons.
I recently switched to Inventor 2012 from a previous version. I cannot find the create flat pattern command. Some of my coworkers were able to customize their RMB menu to have this command, but I am not even able to do that! (They don't have the command on the ribbon, either.)
I attached a picture of my sheet metal ribbon...
I'm working on a time lapse sequence and when I apply the new clarity slider in LR4 to the batch of images the effect seems to apply itself very specifically to each frame introducing random variations in tone and exposure that cause unwanted "flicker" in the sequence. I'm adjusting one image and then syncing it's adjustments to the batch. Is there another way to do this that will apply a fixed value without reinterpreting each and every photo?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently writing a series of routines for setting the layers for text, leaders and dimension commands. The end goal is a system where any annotation command sets the correct layer for the duration of the command, then reverts back to the layer that was active before the command.
I have managed to complete all the code, and it appears to be working fine, I just have one question: I have used -layer "m" "Lay_name" etc... for all layer setting commands, rather than any code to see if the layer exists already. In my limited testing this seems to be suitable, nothing that exists on that layer seems to be affected.
I know how to write code to determine if the layer exists already and set the layer instead, but so far it seems unnecessary??

View 9 Replies View RelatedI press CTRL+9 to make the Command Line disappear while drawing. When I plot (or when doing a plot preview) , the Command Line appears again by itself. So I always have to turn the Command Line off manually after each plot
The bug still happens;
- if Dynamic Input is turned off or on
- if I plot to a real device or in PDF
- if the Cammand Line Palette i docked or floating.
This is not an issue in AutoCAD 2012 so I guess it has to do with the new way they programmed the revamped Command Line palette in 2013.

I need to save a drawing file and give it the name of my desire using a single command, I don't want to issue "saveas" and then specify the name in the file name prompt. This problem is has been faced when I was using ScriptPro and I couldn't succeeded to do that. Hence I need to know if it is feasible to do the stuff using a single command. It will be preferred if I can choose the location to save the file also rather than save the file to the default location.
