Adjustment Panel Fly-out menu options. The Adjustment Panel was added to Photoshop in CS4 and two of its Fly-out Menu options seem to be more a problem then useful.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to locate the drop down menu for the adjustment brush, not the panel but the acutal menu that also has some Adobe developed presets (like soften skin and whiten teeth for example).Â

However, I am unable to use the corresponding Command/Y to re-do the adjustment.Is it a secret or just not available in CC and/or a Mac? I used to use these often to check out recent adjustments and I'd like to have it back.

Â
It's CMYK, 300 dpi, and 8 bit.
Â
I'd like to sharpen it and adjust the hue/saturation, but they're grayed out.
Â
why this is happening and how I can work around this so I can make the changes I need to make?
way to Rename menu bar commands? Move menu bar commands to other menus? Add new menu bar commands wherever you want and bind scripts to those commands?
View 39 Replies View RelatedI have a rectangular screen grab (Windows application) that I would like to simply round the corners and add a border. The image is not a photograph, but since I have Paint Shop Pro X3 and like how it works, I thought I would try it . I have spent some time trying to do this with Paint Shop Pro X3 with no luck. None of the pre-defined frames seemed to do what I need. I would also like to create a drop-shadow behind the image. how to do this or a video that I can watch. A list of steps would also be OK.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have taken an picture from the internet,and from RGB i have converted it to CMYK the background is supposed to be black as well as the picture that fades into it. after i print the final image,i can see 2 variations of black on my image all though both blacks have same colour value.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI often use the Image>Adjust Variations option in Photoshop but do not see the option in Photoshop CS6. I know we are still only in the BETA stage but I hope it is not going to be dropped. I like to use it for quick fixes on small portions of the image every now and again:)
View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm well aware that there are variations between images, but this new project is just baffling me.On medium setting I have image that are 400mb, and others that are only 50 mb.

This last one that is 50 mb is color, with a lot of dark, blacks, I would have thought it would have been on higher end but is 50, very low weight.
I need to use Color Variations under the Enhance > Adjust Color menu, but it's greyed out when I scan in an image. I know it doesn't work with Indexed Color images, but I don't think that's what I'm scanning in. I'm using Photoshop Elements 9 and an Epson Perfection V700 Photo scanner.

Looking for the steps for scanning so that I can actually use this option? It's very important.Â
is there any possibility to use inventor commands like "AppContextual_ContinueCmd" in addin? I need to add to RadialMarkingMenu commands for continue or cancel during selection.Â
private void UIEvents_OnRadialMarkingMenu(Inventor.ObjectsEnumerator toEntities, Inventor.SelectionDeviceEnum toSelDevice, Inventor.RadialMarkingMenu toRadialMenu, Inventor.NameValueMap toAddInfo) { if (toSelDevice == Inventor.SelectionDeviceEnum.kGraphicsWindowSelection) { toRadialMenu.EastControl = this.oApp.CommandManager.ControlDefinitions["AppContextual_CancelCmd"]; toRadialMenu.WestControl = this.oApp.CommandManager.ControlDefinitions["AppContextual_ContinueCmd"]; } }
 The menu is correctly shown , command " AppContextual_CancelCmd" send Esc to events,
How to catch "AppContextual_ContinueCmd". is this possible?
I've been working with an image with about a half dozen layers. Some of these are Curves adjustment layers, I've also added a layer, using Soft Light mode, and then paint either in black or white to dodge and burn the image. At some point, when I started painting in this layer, or in the masks of the adjusment layers, instead of seeing my results in the image, I'm see red brush strokes being added to the image. It looks like the red you get when you toggle the "" key and you're seeing what's in the layer and the masks in rubylith.
Also, when I select a layer, it turns light gray, not blue, as with other images.
My PC operating Microsoft XP had to be replaced. I was using Adobe Photoshop6.0, serial #<deleted>. That program is lost to me and I am now using Photoshop 2.0. I cannot find a way to adjust for different media types; that is, plain paper, glossy photo paper, etc. How do I make the adjustments to accommodate a variety of media using Photoshop 2.0 and can I get access or download Photoshop 6.0?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt's a shame that Illustrator's scripting ability isn't as robust as InDesign's.
Â
I have a script that goes through every path in a file and records all of the colors used in it. The problem is that it stumbles when faced with certain types of "PluginItem"s. I've been able to fix some of it, such as when it comes across a "Compound Shape" (as opposed to a Compound Path or other normal Illustrator object). In such an instance I can select the path, then call a menu command to expand that selection:
Â
if (currentItem.typename == "PluginItem")
{
   currentItem.selected = true;
   app.executeMenuCommand("expandStyle");
   currentItem = app.selection[0];
   app.executeMenuCommand("deselectall");
   colorsInUse(currentItem);
}
Â
I had to do some scrounging to figure out how to execute that "Expand Appearance" command that is in the "Object" menu in Illustrator. In fact, the only resource I discovered was a list that is partially in Japanese. By the way, that last item in the list is a recursive call to the same function in which this if statement resides.
Â
So, the above code works for "PluginItems" that can be rectified with a call to the "Object -> Expand Appearance" menu item. What about those that don't, such as an enveloped object? With those, I'd normally just run the command above "Expand Appearance", called simply "Expand…" Well, that menu items pops up a dialog which, when the user clicks "OK" on it, will properly expand the enveloped object so that the script can continue reading the paths that made it up and get fill & stroke colors.
Â
I can call this menu item with a simple "app.executeMenuCommand("Expand3");", but my problem is that dialog which appears. I don't want the user to have to click "OK" on it every time it pops up when the script wants to expand that object, but the traditional "app.userInteractionLevel = UserInteractionLevel.DONTDISPLAYALERTS;" method doesn't work.
Â
Is there any way to expand enveloped items without having a dialog pop up on the user?
Look at this picture, it's a still from the TV series Dexter, and season 1 and 2 of Dexter are somewhat sacred to me as far as cinema goes. The image is taken from season 2, where a love interest of Dexter creates a painting that totally embodies his character. It would be amazing to have it printed and mounted in my entertainment room!
The image is quite raw, and I have such little experience with any kind of photo editing that I wouldn't have any clue what would need to be done to improve the quality or resolution for a decent sized poster, but Any kind of artistic flair is totally welcome as long as the essence of the image/character remain.
Without further ado, the screencap:

I use the variations adjustment almost exclusively to manipulate art and prepare for flexographic printing. With flexo printing we can not let separations drop off to 0% within an image. We are still film based output. The smallest percentage for highlights that will hold on plate is 2%. If there are any areas within the image that fall below 2% the plate may or may not hold that dot which in turn may or may not result in mountain ranging or dirty print once on press.
Â
Using the magic wand > tolerance > contigous on or off depending of situation, I can make pinpoint selections to those problem areas then adjust using variations > highlights > fine > with each time I select darker it adds 1%.I'm using CS5 in 32-bit mode. Since upgrading to CS6 with no option of running in 32-bit mode I've been testing the shadows/highlight option for these adjustments. While it does work, it is not as accurate as variations.
Â
Curves seems to be the best alternative solution to variations. With the Pigment/Ink% selected and Output at 2% I've saved a preset that automatically adds 2% to each cmy. Or I can adjust individual channels separately.
Â
Using the variations option was much quicker than curves which overtime slows my production. I edit 15 plus images a day. That extra 2 or 3 minutes it takes me to perform the same task in curves that I could perform with variations adds up to about an hour a day.

I am getting extreme variations in file size when I open my D800e nefs in Photoshop cs5, & Bridge. When I highlight the same nefs on my Mac(10.6.8) & "get info", I get another file size. D800e files are about 103 MB each at 8 bit, but can vary dramatically when I open them in Bridge or Cs5.

On this Palette Set I have a palette withe a tree.
On the right click of the node, I call a command (it's one of our own ObjectARX commands, but the problem is the same with a build in command).
The command wants the user to select a point, with a few options. If I first select a point (left click) and then click right, everything works fine.
But If I click with the right button, before I select anything, the menu is not shown.
The code for calling the command is really easy:

When shooting Canon 5DII in JPG, Adobe Elements and Lightroom both import the complete images with all variations selected under the cameras Picture Style settings.When shooting in RAW, Adobe ignores these variables and imports ONLY the RAW image directly from the image sensor, ignoring all settings selected under Picture Styles. This is true in both sRGB and AdobeRGB.There is nothing about this in the Canon 5DII manual.This makes Picture Styles useless when shooting in RAW !?

Inventor Suite 2013 Ultimate
Inventor 2013. Need back the old materials library - most of us have no use for the 3DS Max materials workflow - if I want a custom material for rendering, I will do it in Max/Photosop The new materials/appearnces are way too complicated and confusing.
I have a material that applies an alpha mask to simulate holes for a perforated metal pattern. When I migrated my styles and updated to new appearances, for some reason the image was resized or the mapping was changed, or something. Now my perforated metal holes are 1" in diamter instead of .074. How do I adjust the png file to accomplish this, and how do I publish this new image so it is used instead of the old one?
