Aug 18, 2012Adjustment Panel Fly-out menu options. The Adjustment Panel was added to Photoshop in CS4 and two of its Fly-out Menu options seem to be more a problem then useful.

Jan 16, 2014With Adobe tech support, I consolidated my LR 2.7 catalog with LR 5 catalog. But when I opened up the older photos in LR5, I had only the L2 2.7 Adjustments available.

Do I need to reimport the older photos? I thought that an yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it would show up to update. Is 2.7 too far a leap to LR5?

Mar 28, 2009I just installed CS4 a week or two ago. I've used other versions in the past -- mostly for processing digital images -- and am now trying learn some graphic design techniques,
I created a path using the pen tool, changed it to a selection, right-clicked inside the selection area and wanted to Fill the selection, but the menu option is disabled. Does anyone know why? or what I need to do to enable it? Those menu options never seem to enable in the main Edit menu either.
I am running on Windows Vista, Dell Quad-Core system.
Photoshop :: Menu Options Greyed Out...
Apr 7, 2009Just installed Photoshop CS4. Few problems I'm noticing: - On startup, most menu items under all the top menu are greyed out. It starts with the marquee tool selected, and if I select another tool (like the selection tool),the greyed out items (like File->Open) work and stay working. - I can't close PS CS4 after startup if I don't first select a different tool other then the default (marquee) - I installed a couple extensions via the Extention Manger and they do not show up under Window->Extensions (it's greyed out always). I've uninstalled and reinstalled, did all my Vista Ultimate updates (including SP1). Any thoughts would be appreciated. I've got a top end (well was last year) video card, lots of ram and disk, etc..Dell XPS410 system loaded. Â

If I try to use the 3D Window (Window>3D) then I get a message about enabling "Use Graphic Processor" even though its already enabled. I wanted to try out CC before upgrading for CS6 - And certainly will not be buying a new system just for 3D Option in CC (will stick with CS6)

Dec 14, 2012I have many layer styles installed - over 100. I do this because I like to experiment with a lot of styles during the creative process and prefer to have them quickly available. When I click the panel menu icon in the Styles panel, the list of available styles fills my screen. However, not all of the installed styles appear.

• Is this a bug?
• Is there a technical limit to the number of styles that can be loaded at any one time?
• How does Photoshop decide which styles to show if it doesn't show all installed styles?
• Does where the styles are installed (program presets folder vs. user appdata folders) make a difference?
• Is there any way to scroll the list of styles when there are too many to display in the pop-up window?

Photoshop :: Tool Panel Stuck Behind Menu Bar
Apr 11, 2012For some reason, the top of my tool pallet/panel is now stuck behind the menu bar at the top of the screen. I can't access the top several tools or the "grab" strip at the top of the panel that allows me to re-position the panel. I've tried a number of workspace commands, closed and opened the tools panel, and restarted PS, but the panel stays put. how to reset the panels or otherwise get a handle on this thing?

Lightroom :: Lost Source Panel Options When Importing Files?
Dec 13, 2012I recently discovered a 'change' to my 'Source Panel' window when I try to Import new files from my CF cards. I have 4.2 installed. All that is available on the left hand side of this window is the 'Other Source' pull down box and never any file source like my hard drives or CF cards or anything that used to be there prior to about a month ago. I reinstalled this program twice without any changes. Have I shut something off by accident? My buddy has the same program and he cannot find any reason my should be any different than his but it is.

Oct 9, 2012AI CS6 Layers panel missing labels when you deselect print in the layer options. Is this a bug? I noticed this on a furnished file at work on a MacPro and had a hard time working the file because all of the labels were missing.
I stumbled on the cause when I turned on the Print Layer and all the labels came back. To be sure it was not computer related, I made a file on my AI CS6 version 16.1.0 with the same result. See screen shot.

Mar 25, 2009My menu bar has almost vanished. All I can see is "File, Window and Help" all the others have disappeared. I looked up what to do and CAD help told me to go to Window and then click on Pulldowns but this isn't an option that I can see when I click on Window.

1. Choose Customize menu Customize User Interface Quads tab.
2. Click New. The New Quad Set dialog appears.
3. Enter the name of the quad set and click OK. The new set appears in the Quad set list.
To add a command to a quad set:
1. Choose Customize menu Customize User Interface Quads tab.
2. Choose the quad set you want to edit from the upper-right drop-down list. If you want to change the name of the quad set, click Rename and enter a new name in the Rename Quad Set dialog.
3. Select the quadrant where you want to place the command. You can edit the name of the quadrant by changing the text in the Label area.
4. Choose the appropriate Group and Category from the respective drop-down lists.
5. Choose a command from the action list and drag it into the Quad Menu window. Use the same procedure to add menus and separators to your quad set.There is no clue about how to make a sub menu with commands inside like the one in the picture.
Paint Shop Pro :: X2 Missing Menu Options?
Jun 26, 2011In PSP X2, the menu options went suddenly missing.
I can see the Menu Bar (File, View, Effects, etc.). However, when I click on, say, File, I can see the drop-down options, but none of the options expand into their sub-menus. All I see is a grey box where the options should be.
I just now was able to reinstall PSP X2 after many months of problems due to the usual "illegally modified" message. It's very frustrating to say the least.
