So far, "stamp visible" was useful to create a flattened version of the image to use in liquify, etc.
This feature suddenly stopped working.
What I get from performing the "stamp visible" shortcut (Command option shift e) is a lighter image than the original image.
I restarted Photoshop, but the bug doesn't get away: "stamp visible" no longer works.
What are my options here?
I'm using Photoshop CC. After using a process known as frequency separation the stamp visible layer does not allow me to use any tools to make adjustments.

I don't see anything in keyboard shortcuts that lets me change Shift+Ctrl+Alt+E to something different. Exactly what is that shortcut called in PS CS5, where do I find it?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI noticed that most of the time I cannot copy a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer in Photoshop CS6. (In about a third of all cases it works, in all others I have to create a new Hue/Saturation adjustment layer).
Hitting Command + J will cause my Mac to make an error sound.
Option + delete also doesn't work half the time.
Also: I cannot do a "Stamp visible" above a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer. Hitting Command + Option + Shift + E will bring another error sound.
I have to creat a new layer, and then create a stamp visible. But half the time this doesn't work, either. Hitting Command + Shift + N will give me another error sound.
I have to create a different adjustment layer, then an empty layer, and only then I can create a "stamp visible".
Only Hue/Saturation adjustment layers are affected by this - but it's a true hold-up.

there is a possible way that the borders that the 3dface command creats will not be visible. I am attaching a foto in order to explain it better. the red arrows at the foto show the borders that i don t want to be seen at the final product.
In order to make it more clear, i have to say that these borders are not lines that i have drawed. these are lines that are created by choosing the 4 points that the 3dface command needs.
I've tried several different PS effects trying to get the same effect as here
it's similar to the "vector imaging" but i've seen it with out the colors too with a normal photo that just has the shadows shown in one color...
how come the attributes of inviseble visibility states are visible after the explosion with the command BURST

View 2 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to clone stamp from a different image than the one I was working on. while using clone stamp I could hover over another image on the desktop, press the alt key and click, and then continue to clone the main image.
I double check that the layer in question is selected etc. but I just get a sort of no access symbol, a circle with a diagonal line across. I can clone okay within the same image but not from a remote one as I could before.
How do you make an image (JPEG) visible again after you turned it off with the contextural Image Ribbon Menu?
Once the image is gone I cannot find how to get the contedxtural Image Menu back.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am sculpting a bust and want to use Projection Stamp image to paint the diffuse map. However, the image is not showing in the viewport.
My model has 6 levels with 6+ million polygons. At none of the levels the image shows in viewport.
I'm using Nvidia GTX 560 Ti, 1G
Windows 7 Pro 64bits.
cpu i7 860, 2.8 ghz
16 GB rams.
However, when I start with the mudbox standard base head mesh, then choosing Stencil image, the image shows in the viewport. But not with my 6+ million bust and the image is On it's not hidden.
Is there anyway I can optimize Mudbox to display the image in viewport?
whats the difference between these 2,flatten image and merge visible, and is it necessary to do this before saving it to a jpeg or something?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI created a file in .psd, with several text layers to which I applied effects (fx) such as stroke, bevel & emboss, outer glow. When I flatten the image, the outer glow and stroke remain, but the bevel & emboss effect is gone. Type is a single color without the 3 dimensional effect.
I am also not able to preserve the bevel & emboss look when saving as a jpeg or a flattened .tif or .pdf. A saved .tif or .pdf with layers shows the effect just fine, but if the pdf is opened with Acrobat instead of Photoshop, the effect is not visible.
This must be a new problem, because I found a file that I created several years ago that is a flattened .tif with the bevel & emboss effect preserved.
I tried rasterizing the layer, and the type. Tried converting to 16 bit changing mode to CMYK, and multi-channel. Everything that involved merging layers lost the bevel & emboss effect.
I am trying to distort/shape a photo to fit into another shape, in the shape of a shield. Its something that would be reused on other pictures.

the other, is there any way to create like a rubber stamp or a cutting tool, that once I have the shape I want created, I can use that to copy/cut/paste that image shape from other images also ?

I don't really want to artificially recreate the lead grid design and wondered what's the best technique (masking or otherwise) to preserve this detail? I am considering clone stamp, intelligent fill, masking etc. but first I need to create a source of the grid to use.
With both tools, I can make a few changes and then both will leave a black brush spot. It works, and then it is like the program is too challenged & it just leaves a black spot. Sometimes if I move my mouse to the history panel to back up to get rid of the black spot I get a swipe of the tool all across the image when I'm reaching with the mouse to go back in history.
I'm using PSE 11 and a Macbook Pro.
I have some PDF files whose images are not visible as I go through the steps to open them. The steps are File > Open > select file in drop-down box > click on Open > see empty image in Import from PDF box > click on Select All > Import. The import process takes a few seconds and the editing box appears with a blank image. The size of the box matches the number of pixels shown in the import box, but no image is visible. What can I do to change the color or visibility of the pixels? Other PDF files import correctly using the same process.

I need to get the visible portion of a particular layer in the final image.Lets say i have 4 layers and some portion of each layer is visible in the flattened image i would like to get the portion from each of the layers. The input will be in xcvf format.I will ideally want to automate this and output to file in some format looking like this,
Layer1 ---> Co-ordinates of visible polygon from this particular layer in the image .
Layer2 ---> And so on.
How to proceed with the script. I think brute force is to take each non-transparent pixel and and find the same pixel in all above layers if it is not found it will be added to the region.Or something exists like selection from alpha combined with multiple layers ?
Or if there is a way to find out for an image with all layers visible which pixel came from which layer ?
Is there a reason the variations command is not available in the image adjustment menu?

Originally it saved them at quality level 10 but I re-recorded the action to set the quality at 12. View 1 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to insert an image into a sketch to be used as a decal, but it appears as a blank gray box. I created this image in Photoshop CS5 on my Mac Mountain Lion partition. I am running Inventor 2012 on my Windows 7 64-bit partition.
I appear to only have a problem with that specific image. All other images on my harddrive insert correctly. I have tried multiple file types (.jpg, .png, .gif, etc), but nothing has worked. URL.....It may be necessary to note that the image is white text with a transparent background.
