May 5, 2011I am working with Autocad Map 3D 2009. I just recently switched computers and I put all my custom shapes into the correct folder on my new computer (program files/autodesk/support) and my acad.lin in the correct folders. My custom complex linetypes were then working just fine.
Today, I open the drawing and all my custom complex linetypes are now dashed. I've checked my shape locations, I've checked my msltscale and my psltscale, tried reloading the linetype (it reloads and doesn't give me an error message about it being invalid). Why are my linetypes doing this???

May 3, 2012Is there anyway to line up the dashes of overlapping polylines so that when I have 2 or more dashed polylines on top of each other the polyline will still looks dashed. Because at the moment the dashes don't line up and the polyline appears as a solid line where they overlap.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Contour Labels Leave Dashes When Frozen?
Aug 1, 2013I have a drawing with two viewports. One needs to show topography. The other does not. When I freeze the surface layer in the second viewport, the contour lables leave behind a dash. It's on layer 0 so I can't VP freeze without losing other things.
Where do these dashes come from? They aren't a visible part of the contour label. They only show up when the surface is on a frozen layer. The only purpose they serve is to show where a contour label would be if the surface wasn't frozen.

Ideally I would set the wide gamut monitor to a low brightness to match my paper and only use for photo editing. BUT I also want to regularly use the internet and run other software that much better suits the sRGB colour space. I was thinking of running a second standard spec monitor for internet access and to use as the tool panels in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Apr 4, 2012I have a layered file, the color space assigned to it is sRGB. I save a png file via Save For Web, tick the option to convert export to sRGB. All looks good in the save for web 2-up preview. But when I open the new png file, it's color profile is set to Adobe RGB, and the color space looks off—not like it did in the SFW preview.
Details: My default color space is Adobe RGB. Sync'd across all CS5 apps. I have the option ticked to warn me on profile mismatches when opening a file. So far so good.
So it seems like my Working Space color (Adobe RGB) is overriding SFW settings as well as my document color space settings

Jun 16, 2013I like to go into LAB mode to boost the colours on my photos. I have created an action that converts to LAB, applies a couple of curves, and then converts the image back to RBG. I created a droplet with the intent of using the droplet in Lightroom. My plan was to apply to a smart collection of photos. However, the droplet says that the convert is not available. What am I doing wrong? Am I approaching this the wrong way? Is there a better way? I take team photos and I have HUNDREDS to do. This droplet will save me DAYS of editting time.

Aug 19, 2004I have been trying to upload some jpeg pics (saved for web) created in Photoshop 7.0. Every time I try to upload to a particular site, I get the message that there is an error, file name must not contain spaces. Now, I upload to other sites (E-Bay, etc) with no problem. I am using an I-Mac, which may well be the problem, but, then, other people use the same computer and have no problem.
I have tried saving the files using Graphic Converter, but no change.

Aug 20, 2013How exactly you add an Classification to an Space Object(and by Classification i mean the part under Space object properties>Extended Data>Classifications where normally the SIS one is located).
I'm trying trough .NET (C# to be specific) to change the information on a space with something from the Classification Definitions specified in the drawing. I'm able to read the data from the current ones, however if any of the classifications is using the Default(By style) value the space.ClassficationCollection doesn't contain that particular Classification.
In the document i've got a classification definition for spaces called "Space function" and an assorted list of various functions the space itself can be assigned, like Elevetor-shaft, Bathroom/Shover etc.
How to do this or tell if it's impossible to do, Sample below show on how i'm currently getting the information on the space:

Oct 4, 2013Out of the blue, my type tool has been acting funny in Illustrator CS6. Generally my text boxes or bounding boxes are outlined in blue. However, now they are black. I'm not sure what instigated the change. Now I am typing in illustrator and it won't show any spaces between words.In the character pannel, the kerning is set to auto and tracking is set to 0. What are these black text boxes of death?

Apr 4, 2005I have a picture of a beach and sky, I want to replace the sky with one generated in Bryce, which I have already done.
I used the Magic Wand on the beach photo in order to select and replace the sky but whenever I move the new sky in, it comes as a whole lock and doesn't just show through the magic wand selection I've created. I'm sure there must be a way to "replace" this sky. Can you help please.
Secondly, I'm trying to add a plug in to the filters folder but the Edge Effect I downloaded was a "atn" file, all the effects seem to be "8BF" files, how can I download a plug in, there doesn't seem to be any other "atn" files.
Photoshop :: Replacing Sky
Sep 3, 2008I want to take the sky from one image and use it on another image. I can do this in Photoshop Elements just fine...but can't seem to get it to work in CS3. I open both images and select the image with the sky. I then use the Move tool to drag it over to the image I want to work on. The problem is, it moves over as a very small image and I can't figure out how to resize it. In PSE, it moves over and has the "marching ants" around the edge so I can grab a corner and resize. In CS3, there are no "marching ants" on the edge.
