i save a transparent gif, it looks nice and clean, but then when put it into another place, guess wut?
there r weird white spaces around the objects.
1)what r these weird white things around my ojbects
2)any good way to take them out
3)most important, any way to avoid them?
my 3d extruded objects have open spaces or voids on some of the surfaces
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have about 125 RAW files of random objects that were shot against an white background in a homemade light box.
My goal is simple, to isolate the objects against a completely white background whilst still maintaining the shadow of the object (if possible). I have been using Lightroom 4 and a lot of brushes to complete such a task, but I know there is a simpler way to accomplish this with Photoshop. I am using Photoshop CS6.
Here are what I think are the three most tricky pictures:

This is a cropped corner of an illustration I removed from its opaque background and placed on a transparent background. The north and west borders show the whilte line that forms whenever I place objects on a transparent background. The south and east borders are the cropped edges -- they are clean and make the trasition from object to background color without that white line. With some objects, it's possible to use the Plygonal Lasso Tool, for instance, and trim that object away from the background. With portraits or irregularly shaped objects, though, it's necessary to use the Magic Wand or other means to trim the background away from the object, which results in that unwanted white line. Defringing, Removing White Matte, Anti-aliasing, trying to predict what color you'll lay the silhouette on and working in that color, and on and on. It seems as though Photoshop would be relied upon heavily by professionals who need to place objects on top of one another without intrusion.

Obviously if you are making some sort of illustration, even a pixel worth of white space could prove to be problematic. we are seeing white space between the blue and purple objects.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently started having a problem where some objects that I edit or insert, such as blocks, only show in white. The photo I show is an example. I recently used viewport clip in order to add in the detail shown on the top right, and when I did so, the viewport went white, and it has since not changed. It is supposed to show in yellow, as shown with the other viewports. When I change to "bylayer" it is white, and when I manually change it, it stays white. As shown, I've changed it manually to cyan, and it remains white.
I think this may be an obsucre system variable problem, but I'm not sure where to start.
I'm quite new to 3DS Max and I'm using the 2013 version. Normally, all the edges on any unselected objects in my scene were grey, but all of a sudden, every edges in the scene became white, and they remained white even when nothing were selected.
I don't know if I have used a shortcut that I'm not aware of, but this is really anoying. I can't tell which object is selected .
I've constructed a logo that consists of several shapes that but up against each other. The sides that touch one another are completely flat. When I zoom in, the objects are touching, if not overlapping in some cases. This is okay as it is very small.
However when I save it as a pdf document to sent to a client, those thin lines between the shapes appear much more pronounced. It looks as if I have intentionally put a .5 stroke line between each object.
After merging two 3D objects into one 3D space, I am unable to delete one of the objects nor will it hide when clicking the eye icon.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded my PC to speed up my photo editing workflow. I now want a wide gamut monitor for proof editing my prints - of whhich I make a great deal at home. Ideally I would set the wide gamut monitor to a low brightness to match my paper and only use for photo editing. BUT I also want to regularly use the internet and run other software that much better suits the sRGB colour space. I was thinking of running a second standard spec monitor for internet access and to use as the tool panels in Lightroom and Photoshop.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have a layered file, the color space assigned to it is sRGB. I save a png file via Save For Web, tick the option to convert export to sRGB. All looks good in the save for web 2-up preview. But when I open the new png file, it's color profile is set to Adobe RGB, and the color space looks off—not like it did in the SFW preview.
Details: My default color space is Adobe RGB. Sync'd across all CS5 apps. I have the option ticked to warn me on profile mismatches when opening a file. So far so good.
So it seems like my Working Space color (Adobe RGB) is overriding SFW settings as well as my document color space settings
Photoshop CS4 is replacing spaces in the filenames with dashes.
How do I make it stop doing that?
I like to go into LAB mode to boost the colours on my photos. I have created an action that converts to LAB, applies a couple of curves, and then converts the image back to RBG. I created a droplet with the intent of using the droplet in Lightroom. My plan was to apply to a smart collection of photos. However, the droplet says that the convert is not available. What am I doing wrong? Am I approaching this the wrong way? Is there a better way? I take team photos and I have HUNDREDS to do. This droplet will save me DAYS of editting time.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to upload some jpeg pics (saved for web) created in Photoshop 7.0. Every time I try to upload to a particular site, I get the message that there is an error, file name must not contain spaces. Now, I upload to other sites (E-Bay, etc) with no problem. I am using an I-Mac, which may well be the problem, but, then, other people use the same computer and have no problem.
I have tried saving the files using Graphic Converter, but no change.
My question is simple:
When I have text inside a text box and it wraps at the end of the box, why can't I put spaces on the beginning of second line (the wrapped line)?
How can I update the script to replace spaces with underscores on export? I assume I need to add a line somewhere between 183-195 but I don't know what it needs to be.

View 6 Replies View RelatedHow exactly you add an Classification to an Space Object(and by Classification i mean the part under Space object properties>Extended Data>Classifications where normally the SIS one is located).
I'm trying trough .NET (C# to be specific) to change the information on a space with something from the Classification Definitions specified in the drawing. I'm able to read the data from the current ones, however if any of the classifications is using the Default(By style) value the space.ClassficationCollection doesn't contain that particular Classification.
In the document i've got a classification definition for spaces called "Space function" and an assorted list of various functions the space itself can be assigned, like Elevetor-shaft, Bathroom/Shover etc.
How to do this or tell if it's impossible to do, Sample below show on how i'm currently getting the information on the space:

Out of the blue, my type tool has been acting funny in Illustrator CS6. Generally my text boxes or bounding boxes are outlined in blue. However, now they are black. I'm not sure what instigated the change. Now I am typing in illustrator and it won't show any spaces between words.In the character pannel, the kerning is set to auto and tracking is set to 0. What are these black text boxes of death?

Corel Draw has a docker for paragraph formatting where we can place spaces above or below a paragraph.
I have found the theme legends on the documentation tool palette, but I was wondering how the themes are assigned to the individual spaces? I would have expected additional spaces to be loaded into the file at the time the legend was brought in.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am renaming a bunch of blocks that had non-descriptive code names with new descriptive names for our power substation division. Example: 2002 -> Strain Clamp U Bolt.
I am debating whether I should put spaces in the new names or use the under-bar '_' for spaces. If I use spaces the names will look nicer and may word wrap better when I put these blocks into a tool palette. But I'm paranoid about using spaces because of the nagging feeling it might be a problem down the road, say with parsing in lisp code or something.
I'm exploring custom brushes in Illustrator (CS6) but cannot figure out how to get rid of the spaces in between my brush pattern. I have the brush stretched to fit and the spacing at 0% but there is still a tiny gap before each pattern repetition. I tried to make the spacing a negative % but you can't do that.
