why are all my pictures just a grey square when I try to load them into the develop module.?.No half greyed out picture just a blank space with the picture numbers beside them.They are all in the computor as they will open in Elements 11.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI deleted a lot of old photos from my external hard drive, which seems to have messed up my link of some photos to LR. When I got on yesterday, one huge wedding collection showed the "offline or missing ?" thing but still showed the actual photo. In trying to re-link the photos to LR, I think I did two things that royally messed me up. I opened up an older catalog, which had the large wedding collection, but it now turned up the photos as totally blank. The collection still shows 2000+ photos in it, and each photo shows the little symbols that show which have been edited, and they still show the ? in the top corner, but no photo.how to reconnect the photos without messing more photos up?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI upgraded from LR3 to LR4 yesterday and was excited to dive into the Map module. Unfortunately, the map seems to be blank. I have selected an image with GPS information. The Map module correctly looks up the location of the photo (Magdalena, New Mexico). This seems like a rendering bug.
Just to check, I installed LR4 onto another OS X 10.6.8 machine that had not previously had Lightroom and imported the same picture. The Map module worked correctly. So, I tried re-installing LR4 on the original machine. Unfortunately, it still does not work. I tried creating a new catalog and backing up and then deleting all preferences. The map is still blank...
I am open to all sorts of alternatives, including but not limited to: Running dtrace to look at library callsattaching XCode to debug (though I would assume all the objects have been stripped), or Starting up a WebDialogs/WebEx/VNC/TeamViewer/etc server for a dev to pry around on it or debug with XCode. Of course a debuggable build would work with this.
I created a new user on the system that is failing, started LR4, created a new catalog, imported the test photo, changed to Map module--still blank. Something on this particular system is causing the rendering failure. My next thought was that perhaps it was an issue with the non-accelerated graphics. So I disabled the graphics switching. Still a blank map..

I have tried to import a few pictures. When they import, they are just blank, although if i hover my mouse over the blank picture, it has all the info listed. I also exported a picture and when i opened it, it opened fine.

Since upgrading to Lightroom 5.4 this morning, the Map Module is blank. Nothing appears in the Navigator box or the main map area. Nothing appears even for those images with GPS coordinates present in the file. I'm connected to the internet.

I went to import them into Lightroom 3 and all the pictures came up in blank box's with a ? in each one of them. It said "The files are from a camera which is not recognized by the raw format support in lightroom. I did double check my memory card and all my pictures are on there.

Locating the images through the '?' icon achieves nothing.
I seem to have deleted my lightroom back up from the HD but was able to restore (lrdata).
Problem is that now it seems blank.
From time to time and more than bearable as all the published pictures need to be manually checked to detect if the probleme occured, LR5 publish a picture with only the watermark applied and not the picture ! Which results in the watermark on a white background as below.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I attempt to use a new grad filter or adjustment brush in LR3.6 the picture goes blank i.e. totally black. The history does not update and I can do no other edits until I Ctrl-Z or go to the grid pane or move to the next image. I am running on Windows 7 64 bit and I have re-installed, twice, (repaired) using the latest downloaded LR3.6 off the adobe site. I have done several integity checks which are successful and the problem occurs no matter what catalog I open, small or big. However, my LR 4 beta works perfectly!? This problem came out of the blue and the only software that I have installed on my machine recently was some Windows updates and Firetower which checks changes to my Startup processes.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI copied photo folders from my hard drive to lightroom 4 and edited them but then accidentally removed these folders from lightroom. I then imported these folders again into lightroom but all the edits I made orginally in lightroom don't show up for the individual photo's.
I backed up the Lightroom catalogue regularily. Is there any way I can reattach these edits to their respective photos'. There is lot of photo's involved.
When I merge LR5 catalogs the existing photos are overwritten by the incoming photos
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using Lightroom 4..i've been importing my RAW images from my external harddrive. Some show up in the catalog as ruined with a blank white section and color bands. I've checked the actual image on the external hard drive and it is fine. I've deleted the ruined files from the LR catalog, then re-imported those problem ones... still come in as white with banding. I've even tried deleting them from the catalog, then from the hard drive... then back onto the HD from the camera, then back into lightroom. Some look ok until I look at then in loupe view and the same problem happens. Mean while the images on the HD and on the camera's CF card are fine.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHow exactly you add an Classification to an Space Object(and by Classification i mean the part under Space object properties>Extended Data>Classifications where normally the SIS one is located).
I'm trying trough .NET (C# to be specific) to change the information on a space with something from the Classification Definitions specified in the drawing. I'm able to read the data from the current ones, however if any of the classifications is using the Default(By style) value the space.ClassficationCollection doesn't contain that particular Classification.
In the document i've got a classification definition for spaces called "Space function" and an assorted list of various functions the space itself can be assigned, like Elevetor-shaft, Bathroom/Shover etc.
How to do this or tell if it's impossible to do, Sample below show on how i'm currently getting the information on the space:

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded my PC to speed up my photo editing workflow. I now want a wide gamut monitor for proof editing my prints - of whhich I make a great deal at home. Ideally I would set the wide gamut monitor to a low brightness to match my paper and only use for photo editing. BUT I also want to regularly use the internet and run other software that much better suits the sRGB colour space. I was thinking of running a second standard spec monitor for internet access and to use as the tool panels in Lightroom and Photoshop.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have a layered file, the color space assigned to it is sRGB. I save a png file via Save For Web, tick the option to convert export to sRGB. All looks good in the save for web 2-up preview. But when I open the new png file, it's color profile is set to Adobe RGB, and the color space looks off—not like it did in the SFW preview.
Details: My default color space is Adobe RGB. Sync'd across all CS5 apps. I have the option ticked to warn me on profile mismatches when opening a file. So far so good.
So it seems like my Working Space color (Adobe RGB) is overriding SFW settings as well as my document color space settings
