I have tried to import a few pictures. When they import, they are just blank, although if i hover my mouse over the blank picture, it has all the info listed. I also exported a picture and when i opened it, it opened fine.

I just bought a new camera and took wedding pictures with it yesterday. I went to import them into Lightroom 3 and all the pictures came up in blank box's with a ? in each one of them. It said "The files are from a camera which is not recognized by the raw format support in lightroom. I did double check my memory card and all my pictures are on there.

Locating the images through the '?' icon achieves nothing.
I just got lightroom and when I try to upload my old albums from my hardrive (all taken with the same camera) not all of them will load and the importing bar in the top left freezes.

Tonight after i imported a shoot, all my pictures started turning black and white one by one in front of me. Now I have to also check my camera settings to see if I mistakenly shot like that, I've done the pressing V on each photo, but the color gets screwed up seems like.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen importing my pictures into lightroom, i have several pictures that have black lines through them. looks like dotted lines - no two are the same, some have it some do not.
I save the RAW data from my camera chip to an external drive. then I import the ones that I want from that external into lightroom. At first I thought it was my camers. but what else could it be? Card reader? External drive? hard drive on computer?
After importing pictures from my digital camera in RAW format using Lightroom 4 it places them in my Pictures file on tghe hard drive. When I go to my Pictures file and try to open the photos i get the message: Photo Gallery Can't Open The Images Or Video Because The Format Isn't Supported Or You Don't Have The Latest Upgrade To Photo Gallery. Pictures from a small point & shoot work fine. I get the same results when importing using the camera Mfg's software.

LR4 takes 10 minutes or more to import 3 pictures. Importing these pictures in LR3 takes a few seconds.I did some checks: Using a new catalog (and not the converted one) and importing a sub folder of my picture directory has no effect. It takes also very long.
Importing a sub folder without videos is fast! But even if the videos are already imported (because of using the LR3 converted catalog), when adding new pictures to a subfolder it takes again 10 minutes. Importing videos in a fresh catalog does not work at all (they are only available if you convert the LR3 catalog) (Canon Powershot Ixus S95)
I have also a problem with playing (the LR3 catalog converted) videos. The video control bar does not react. After some minutes there is an error message that there was an error trying to work with the picture.
Have some pics in X4 on Windows 7 but same are not opening in X 12/ Windows 8.
When copied from X4/Windows7 and pasted in X12/Windows 8, icon showing blank and on opening a blank document opens.
In Elements 11, my "people" profile pictures are at times blank, even though the faces are tagged.I just see the person icon instead.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have tried to add JPG images off my laptop to Video studio and every time I attempt to import an image into it, it comes up with a message the runs along the lines of ''unable to open file, file format mismatch, [16803:1:3]''. I took the pictures with my Canon G9, but I also took video with my G9 and strangely enough the video will import and play. I do really like the Corel software and I am disappointed that this problem has occurred.

The error I am getting is 0xc0000005. I already searched on Google and on this forum, and came across a lot of people with the same problem, and that it's being caused by Avast. It sees the folder and subfolder, but not the pictures, even though it imported all of the photos under other folders, and imported the pictures in My Pictures under the C drive. View 2 Replies View RelatedI upgraded from LR3 to LR4 yesterday and was excited to dive into the Map module. Unfortunately, the map seems to be blank. I have selected an image with GPS information. The Map module correctly looks up the location of the photo (Magdalena, New Mexico). This seems like a rendering bug.
Just to check, I installed LR4 onto another OS X 10.6.8 machine that had not previously had Lightroom and imported the same picture. The Map module worked correctly. So, I tried re-installing LR4 on the original machine. Unfortunately, it still does not work. I tried creating a new catalog and backing up and then deleting all preferences. The map is still blank...
I am open to all sorts of alternatives, including but not limited to: Running dtrace to look at library callsattaching XCode to debug (though I would assume all the objects have been stripped), or Starting up a WebDialogs/WebEx/VNC/TeamViewer/etc server for a dev to pry around on it or debug with XCode. Of course a debuggable build would work with this.
I created a new user on the system that is failing, started LR4, created a new catalog, imported the test photo, changed to Map module--still blank. Something on this particular system is causing the rendering failure. My next thought was that perhaps it was an issue with the non-accelerated graphics. So I disabled the graphics switching. Still a blank map..

Since upgrading to Lightroom 5.4 this morning, the Map Module is blank. Nothing appears in the Navigator box or the main map area. Nothing appears even for those images with GPS coordinates present in the file. I'm connected to the internet.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI deleted a lot of old photos from my external hard drive, which seems to have messed up my link of some photos to LR. When I got on yesterday, one huge wedding collection showed the "offline or missing ?" thing but still showed the actual photo. In trying to re-link the photos to LR, I think I did two things that royally messed me up. I opened up an older catalog, which had the large wedding collection, but it now turned up the photos as totally blank. The collection still shows 2000+ photos in it, and each photo shows the little symbols that show which have been edited, and they still show the ? in the top corner, but no photo.how to reconnect the photos without messing more photos up?
