I'm new to Lightroom 4. Had 3 up until recently, and also upgraded to a Nikon D7000 from a D5100, which i had no problem with. Tonight after i imported a shoot, all my pictures started turning black and white one by one in front of me. Now I have to also check my camera settings to see if I mistakenly shot like that, I've done the pressing V on each photo, but the color gets screwed up seems like.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have tried to import a few pictures. When they import, they are just blank, although if i hover my mouse over the blank picture, it has all the info listed. I also exported a picture and when i opened it, it opened fine.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen importing my pictures into lightroom, i have several pictures that have black lines through them. looks like dotted lines - no two are the same, some have it some do not.
I save the RAW data from my camera chip to an external drive. then I import the ones that I want from that external into lightroom. At first I thought it was my camers. but what else could it be? Card reader? External drive? hard drive on computer?
After importing pictures from my digital camera in RAW format using Lightroom 4 it places them in my Pictures file on tghe hard drive. When I go to my Pictures file and try to open the photos i get the message: Photo Gallery Can't Open The Images Or Video Because The Format Isn't Supported Or You Don't Have The Latest Upgrade To Photo Gallery. Pictures from a small point & shoot work fine. I get the same results when importing using the camera Mfg's software.

LR4 takes 10 minutes or more to import 3 pictures. Importing these pictures in LR3 takes a few seconds.I did some checks: Using a new catalog (and not the converted one) and importing a sub folder of my picture directory has no effect. It takes also very long.
Importing a sub folder without videos is fast! But even if the videos are already imported (because of using the LR3 converted catalog), when adding new pictures to a subfolder it takes again 10 minutes. Importing videos in a fresh catalog does not work at all (they are only available if you convert the LR3 catalog) (Canon Powershot Ixus S95)
I have also a problem with playing (the LR3 catalog converted) videos. The video control bar does not react. After some minutes there is an error message that there was an error trying to work with the picture.
I am having issues when Uploading photos to my website,dropbox,email or online lab after editing in photoshop , First I edit in LR5 then export to PS with Lightroom default settings and my adjustments made to photos and then in do minor adjustments in Photoshop cs5 and then save in jpeg, well when I go to upload to my website or the others mentioned, the photos tuen green and desaturate and I am not sure why but need to fix this really bad, They do not turn green however when uploading to the blog...

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have tried to add JPG images off my laptop to Video studio and every time I attempt to import an image into it, it comes up with a message the runs along the lines of ''unable to open file, file format mismatch, [16803:1:3]''. I took the pictures with my Canon G9, but I also took video with my G9 and strangely enough the video will import and play. I do really like the Corel software and I am disappointed that this problem has occurred.

It sees the folder and subfolder, but not the pictures, even though it imported all of the photos under other folders, and imported the pictures in My Pictures under the C drive. View 2 Replies View RelatedIt seems that in Lightroom 4 you have the ability to turn off individual modules by right clicking on them and unchecking whichever ones you don't use. I'm wondering if when modules are unchecked, does that increase the speed or performance of the system?
I recently upgraded to LR4 from 3 and definitely experienced a major slow down. That being said, when I uncheck everything except the development module, the sluggishness completely disappears. Is turning individual modules off actually improve performance?
I have looked on the web and in some books I have and I don't understand the purpose for turning panels on and off or what it does. I see that the features are unusable when they are off. I understand why I would want to hide a panel.
Does it turn off any changes I made using that certain panel? What does it do?
Converted to LR4 last week. This morning, I started it, and went into the library. The open catalog has 31000 images.
The Library Filter is OFF. (the thing at the top of the thumbnails). The filters arse OFF (the filter thing below the thumbnails)
I select "All Photographs" in the catalog, and I get 0 of 31002 photos.
Pull down "View" and uncheck "Show Filter Bar" so now there's NO filter bar at the top of the thumnails.
STILL have 0 of 31000 photos
If I select a folder, I get those images. If I select a keyword, I get those images. BUT, if I select "All Photographs" I get 0 photos.
I presume there's been a switch or something changed in LR4 that's causing this.
My develop mode adjusts my pictures automatically. Can I turn this off somehow?

With my Imac (Osx 10.8.3) and L 4.4 the Pictures folder is frozen. I can acces pictures but I can not import new pictures or delete or remane or move. It looks like the Pictures folder is locked. I can do everything if I move up the the "Myname" Folder. both version L4.4 and Imac are in French.

The exif data on Lightroom (5) does not seem to identify the HDR photos, and I cannot find any other way to get Lightroom to identify HDR photos.
