Have some pics in X4 on Windows 7 but same are not opening in X 12/ Windows 8.
When copied from X4/Windows7 and pasted in X12/Windows 8, icon showing blank and on opening a blank document opens.
Got the "Cannot open a blank document" ERROR Message when I went to open a recently created Corel Draw X5 file. Using Windows 7 Professional.First time I've gotten this message.

when I create a new blank document, it size always become multiply of 10 (example Page size A4 = 2100mm x 2970mm) and in the document, when I draw a new object, it will automatical multiply with 10, too. I'm using Windows 7, and I never seen this problem before, when I using Windows XP!
When I try to open an X5 template in X6, nothing happens in X6. I don't receive any error messages. It looks like the template is opening, but I just end up with a blank grey (no file opened) slate. I am using the 32-bit build. Everything else seems fine.

I have tried using Bullzip PDF printer but that also produced a blank PDF.
I opened a document and it popped up a messages asking if I want to revert to the saved version YES or NO. This is weird because I didn't try to open the document twice. I suspect it is a macro that was causing this problem but I have many so it could take a while to locate the culprit. I also suspect a windows 7 update may have caused an interference with the macro.

Blank Blocks behind text and graphics
Just upgraded my X5 to X6. So far so good, except pop up menus are blank. See image below. Am I missing a setting somewhere, or is this a Windows XP Pro problem? I have my screen resolution set to the Corel recommended 1024x768.
View 7 Replies View Relatedi have been working on this project in corel draw12 for several weeks now, as it is or/was coming to its final stages a few days ago it now only opens a blank page, it is 2.14 gb and it will get bigger as it reaches its final stages.i can still see it in preview. when it was opening it took a very long time to open i realise the reason for this is the size im using very high resolution images and designing and editing, or maybe there is another program that you may recommend that will support the size so i can complete my work.
i found a backup copy but it will not import the size is 1.70 gb seems its still too large to open ,
i don't think it has anything to do with memory , i have a full drive laptop is new. my thoughts are that corel draw will not open a file that size, and you are right about breaking it up i should have worked in several sheets but saved them desperately.

all of my Cdr files be corrupted . they show their real size (eg 23mb ) but when i open them it show white page. I have been using X3 for years, then decided to upgrade to 4 which I did, however I stopped using X4 as I could not see the Fonts display in the fly out box as they show blank so you can not see what the text would look like say in 'Bold' or 'Italic' or in a different font. I keep trying to sort it then I just go back to X3 but I really want to use X4 (I have X5 which does exactly the same thing.) I have looked at the 'Font settings' in X3 & compared to X4 checked and unchecked boxes, still no different. I did have X4 loaded on another old computer, which I uninstalled, thinking this may be the problem. Didn't change anything, so I have just uninstalled and reinstalled on the computer I am using now but still no good.
My operating system is still windows XP not sure if this is the cause?
I am using Corel X3...I am trying to create a PDF in Corel X3 but the pdf is coming out blank? On smaller files they work out OK. I have re-sampled the images to make them smaller but it is not working? The file size is 31mb.I have made PDF's before and it is easy, but this is frustrating now. I have even uninstalled Corel and re-installed. Changed PDF generating programs too. I am now using Nitro Reader.

If I enable the welcome screen it asks me what I want to open but if I disable it all I get is a grey area and I have to go to the drop down file menu ans select 'new page'.
I have a custom palette set on two machines. If I save a file on one and then open it on the other, the second machine does not recognize the custom colors and leaves the object blank. I can click on the palette and correct this but can I set it so that the colors will load correctly when I open the files.

I'm using CorelDaw X6 64-bit on Windows 7.
I have some Ai files that I need to open in X6 but they use linked images which I have, but when opening in CorelDraw all I get is the basic Ai stuff but not the linked images, is there an easy way to open the Ai file and see it as it was intended?
As a sub note I can't go back to the supplier of the Ai file to make any changes.
Font Flux Architect characters in normal and bold formats are displayed as blank squares, though italic and bold-italic format display them correctly. Print preview shows all formats correctly.
CorelDRAW X5 on Windows XP
I have a customer that sent me some Illustrator files (.ai) that, when I open them, they open with just a blank window and a box with no fill or stroke around the outside of the document. I am using Illustrator CS4 and I suspect this may be an Illustrator CS6 document but I didn't get any warnings when I opened it so I'm not sure. (I also don't know what version of Illustrator the original creator is using). The document sizes are large (35MB +) so there should be SOME content in them. I've tried making sure nothing is hidden and there are no layers that are turned off. I've also tried opening the files in Acrobat CS4 with no luck.

I have tried to do the tricks, I googled, like resetting to factory, editing the xml file and running as administrator. Nothing works. It is when I edit any font, and in a new document also. AND update of CDR X4 with service pack 2 did not work.
I have a senior project within CorelDRAW X6 (Student) that spans around 1200 pages spread across about 25 different .CDRs. I need to export all of those pages as .JPEGs so I can manipulate them in another program.
I know that you can batch export using a macro. But I only need exactly what's on the page at the page size. My solution was to crop each page (yes, one by one) and then later do a batch export on all of them. However, when batch exporting to .JPEG, I noticed that I was getting different results than when I had exported pages individually in the past. At first I thought this was a macro issue. But when I was trying various things I realized that anytime I closed a document after cropping it, upon reopen my drop shadows would be gone. And of course, I didn't realize this until I had already cropped all 1200 pages and was doing my batch export. I've tested it and if I crop a document and then batch export the pages before closing the document I can get the results I need. But that would require me to crop all 1200 pages again and my time is running short.
(Ignore the color differences here...I'm fairly certain it's because I didn't pay attention to my color settings on export here) Export before closing via file converter macro:

Any macro for cropping to page size and then exporting to jpeg (or other format) all in one fell swoop? This would hopefully bypass this issue and save me the huge problem of having to crop them all again. I could just open each document and run the macro. In theory, that would be quick.
When I export or publish to pdf from CorelDraw X6 the document size changes.If lets say i export an A4 page and then inport it again the size of the page has changed from 210x297 to 209,903 x 296,686 !

Both are Visual C++ related as far as I can see. I have all the Visual C++ redistributables installed and up to date.
I saved a book a friend of mine worked on using coreldraw 12 on a cd and tried to open it in X6 but it won't open. I think My sys. Os is a 32 bit, I have a trial version of x6 on this comp. and full version 12 on another. When I ok convert to bitmap Error message says invalid file format.
