When I try to open an X5 template in X6, nothing happens in X6. I don't receive any error messages. It looks like the template is opening, but I just end up with a blank grey (no file opened) slate. I am using the 32-bit build. Everything else seems fine.

I'm looking for Garment and Hat Templates to create a virtual sample proof for customers to approve art. I've found some, but they don't have sweatshirts. I found one for T-Shirts that had all the shading and allowed to with one click to change the shirt color.
I've even tried Advanced Artist Design program by it lacks sweatshirts and is very limited on garment types, even the add-on purchase package.

I've run across a few labels that aren't in the Avery library. Is there a way to add Avery templates into the Corel library?

I'm trawling through the content folder and it takes me about half an hour to find the vehicle I'm after. I have tried using connect but with no success.
Just upgraded my X5 to X6. So far so good, except pop up menus are blank. See image below. Am I missing a setting somewhere, or is this a Windows XP Pro problem? I have my screen resolution set to the Corel recommended 1024x768.

View 9 Replies View Relatedi have been working on this project in corel draw12 for several weeks now, as it is or/was coming to its final stages a few days ago it now only opens a blank page, it is 2.14 gb and it will get bigger as it reaches its final stages.i can still see it in preview. when it was opening it took a very long time to open i realise the reason for this is the size im using very high resolution images and designing and editing, or maybe there is another program that you may recommend that will support the size so i can complete my work.
i found a backup copy but it will not import the size is 1.70 gb seems its still too large to open ,
i don't think it has anything to do with memory , i have a full drive laptop is new. my thoughts are that corel draw will not open a file that size, and you are right about breaking it up i should have worked in several sheets but saved them desperately.

all of my Cdr files be corrupted . they show their real size (eg 23mb ) but when i open them it show white page. I have been using X3 for years, then decided to upgrade to 4 which I did, however I stopped using X4 as I could not see the Fonts display in the fly out box as they show blank so you can not see what the text would look like say in 'Bold' or 'Italic' or in a different font. I keep trying to sort it then I just go back to X3 but I really want to use X4 (I have X5 which does exactly the same thing.) I have looked at the 'Font settings' in X3 & compared to X4 checked and unchecked boxes, still no different. I did have X4 loaded on another old computer, which I uninstalled, thinking this may be the problem. Didn't change anything, so I have just uninstalled and reinstalled on the computer I am using now but still no good.
My operating system is still windows XP not sure if this is the cause?
I am using Corel X3...I am trying to create a PDF in Corel X3 but the pdf is coming out blank? On smaller files they work out OK. I have re-sampled the images to make them smaller but it is not working? The file size is 31mb.I have made PDF's before and it is easy, but this is frustrating now. I have even uninstalled Corel and re-installed. Changed PDF generating programs too. I am now using Nitro Reader.

If I enable the welcome screen it asks me what I want to open but if I disable it all I get is a grey area and I have to go to the drop down file menu ans select 'new page'.
I have a custom palette set on two machines. If I save a file on one and then open it on the other, the second machine does not recognize the custom colors and leaves the object blank. I can click on the palette and correct this but can I set it so that the colors will load correctly when I open the files.

when I create a new blank document, it size always become multiply of 10 (example Page size A4 = 2100mm x 2970mm) and in the document, when I draw a new object, it will automatical multiply with 10, too. I'm using Windows 7, and I never seen this problem before, when I using Windows XP!
When I try and publish a image or document to PDF it produces a blank PDF document.
I have tried using Bullzip PDF printer but that also produced a blank PDF.
I have some Ai files that I need to open in X6 but they use linked images which I have, but when opening in CorelDraw all I get is the basic Ai stuff but not the linked images, is there an easy way to open the Ai file and see it as it was intended?
As a sub note I can't go back to the supplier of the Ai file to make any changes.
Font Flux Architect characters in normal and bold formats are displayed as blank squares, though italic and bold-italic format display them correctly. Print preview shows all formats correctly.
CorelDRAW X5 on Windows XP
I have a lot of pdfs that are A6 format, and need to keep them this size. When I open the document in Coreldraw they open as A4 page (looking at the document properties (although it does look like its the A6 size with a lot of white space around it.
How can I get corel to open it to the correct A6 page size?
Upgrading to X6 today due to Windows 7 issues, per IT dept. Right off the bat, all the arrowheads on our lines are gone. We always used third one on the arrowhead drop down, but now we have to select them all and add the arrowhead back in, and then change the other half to point in the right direction.
Bug fix for this or just suck up and change 1K drawings in our library?
I have several Coral Draw-12 files saved in a particular folder. The problem is when i am trying to open a particular file it's fine but, when trying to open a second or third .cdr file (with the first file opened) from the same folder it' s not opening.

Several old files created in X5 will not open in X6. When I try to open them - they crash X6. Have taken files to another computer and same happens. These files open OK in X5. I have tried 'resaving them' in X5 to V12 and opening in X6 - Crashes Corel same as before..?

When trying to open a coreldraw document sent to me containing fonts that I do not have, I cannot seem to open only as curves and it always wants to replace missing fonts. I am sure I could do this with X3, but not X5.
I just want to import as curves and not substitute fonts.
I'm trying to open a large file (1.2gig) but corel is having a error reading (dialoge box pop up). I have another file 1.19 gig which takes a few minutes to open but is fine.
I have 2gig ram so just wondering what the limit for file size in x3 file is? The file in question was running sweet yesterday so I didn't realise it was so large.
Is there any way to recover the contents ? I can see it in preview so I don't believe it is corrupt....the back-up has the same issues.
I am looking into using CD X5 for my laser engraver, but I am running into a bit of a issue. I have to open PDFs into corel but when I do I lose all the spacing between each word. The font is not subsituted, there is no issue with opening it, and I can rip the file to the output device. I can edit the text by adding a space, I have double hit the space bar to make one space.
