Font Flux Architect characters in normal and bold formats are displayed as blank squares, though italic and bold-italic format display them correctly. Print preview shows all formats correctly.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been using X3 for years, then decided to upgrade to 4 which I did, however I stopped using X4 as I could not see the Fonts display in the fly out box as they show blank so you can not see what the text would look like say in 'Bold' or 'Italic' or in a different font. I keep trying to sort it then I just go back to X3 but I really want to use X4 (I have X5 which does exactly the same thing.) I have looked at the 'Font settings' in X3 & compared to X4 checked and unchecked boxes, still no different. I did have X4 loaded on another old computer, which I uninstalled, thinking this may be the problem. Didn't change anything, so I have just uninstalled and reinstalled on the computer I am using now but still no good.
My operating system is still windows XP not sure if this is the cause?
I tried Nexus font (finally) and don't see why people have mentioned it. I don't like it and uninstalled it quickly.Which font manager do you think is better than Font Nav?

I placed one square inside the boundery of the other and selected NO FILL..Yet when I import the image into my Laser Engraving program, the empty space between the borders of the two squares is FILLED...
How to stop the FILL happening ?????
I recently installed GraphicsSuite x6 (with SP4) on a new Surface Pro 2 tablet running on Windows 8.1. My command bar buttons are not displaying properly. Depending on whether I have the open on the tablet screen or an external monitor, the toolbar buttons will not be displayed. This also affects some (but not all) dockers. For example the buttons and labels on the Align and Distribute docker are not displayed, regardless of which display I am using. This issue affects both CorelDraw and Photo-Paint.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAdding transparency to an object makes Photo-PAINT render it falsely. It's getting rendered almost completely transparent.
Exporting the image shows that the alpha channel should not be applied as much as Photo-PAINT wants you to believe.
I've set the object's transparency to 18% after adding/combining a drop shadow to it.

Is there a way to adjust the kerning between 2 characters of text? I don't want to adjust the kerning of the entire word, just between 2 letters in the word. The font has too much space between the "V" and "A". I've tried using Paragraph Formatting, but that adjusts the entire word.

When opening the attached file and printing it to efi/fiery rip (or adobe pdf), some characters are on top of each other. Word spacing is also to large. Printing the same file with X5 without problem. File is originally created in X5. Tried with the new "update text" feature as well, same issue.
I am having a problem of previewing clip art in my preview window. I used to be able to review a thumb nail of either a object, photo, or clip art prior to importing it on my page. Is there a configuration I must follow. Tried everything from properties and other trial and error methods.

I'm working with a new client that is providing CAD drawings in .dwg format. I can import the file, and see the objects in Object Manager, but no objects are displayed in the work area. I am able to import the same .dwg file into a CAD/CAM application and the objects are there. A file with this issue is attached.

I'm using the trial version of X5 and have noticed that the number of characters that display the file name at the top has been shortened since X3. In some cases I'm not able to even see any of my file name because I have things saved in many subfolders for organizational purposes. It appears that it is limited to about 120 characters, which sounds like a lot, but when using dropbox and other subfolders, can fill up quickly. When I open the same exact file in X3, the name is fully displayed. How to change this? Or is this possibly just a trial version thing? .
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using CorelDRAW 12 with Windows XP. I would like to type Chinese Characters. 1 specific word can't be shown correctly in CorelDRAW 12. It's "焗" and its read as "Ju" in Chinese. I was going to Text > Encode and check whether the word can be shown or not. In fact, in Encode Dialogue I can see the character well, but when I click "OK" and I can't see it. I get only the rectangle or nothing instead.

They were combined, so I had to separate them first. I picked them and used the Break Curve Apart feature. And here's what I got.
All inner contours were GONE! Here's the file.
Just upgraded my X5 to X6. So far so good, except pop up menus are blank. See image below. Am I missing a setting somewhere, or is this a Windows XP Pro problem? I have my screen resolution set to the Corel recommended 1024x768.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter fairly smooth sailing for using X6 I ran into a problem that's caused me to switch back to X5 for the time being :(
I work in files that have thousands of individual characters in them. In X5 if I wanted to change the color of about 10,000 individual characters it would take about 3 seconds to do so. If I do the same thing in X6 I takes at least 30 minutes (or longer, I just killed it by that time).
Working with large amount of texts is incredibly slow X6, not just 5 or 10% or slower, doing somethings takes up to 10x times as long.....
I know there is a lot of features for text in X6 but this decrease in speed puts a complete block in my workflow. Maybe Corel could have a feature that individual text characters have minimal properties associated with them or something?

i have been working on this project in corel draw12 for several weeks now, as it is or/was coming to its final stages a few days ago it now only opens a blank page, it is 2.14 gb and it will get bigger as it reaches its final stages.i can still see it in preview. when it was opening it took a very long time to open i realise the reason for this is the size im using very high resolution images and designing and editing, or maybe there is another program that you may recommend that will support the size so i can complete my work.
i found a backup copy but it will not import the size is 1.70 gb seems its still too large to open ,
i don't think it has anything to do with memory , i have a full drive laptop is new. my thoughts are that corel draw will not open a file that size, and you are right about breaking it up i should have worked in several sheets but saved them desperately.
When I try to open an X5 template in X6, nothing happens in X6. I don't receive any error messages. It looks like the template is opening, but I just end up with a blank grey (no file opened) slate. I am using the 32-bit build. Everything else seems fine.

I am using Corel X3...I am trying to create a PDF in Corel X3 but the pdf is coming out blank? On smaller files they work out OK. I have re-sampled the images to make them smaller but it is not working? The file size is 31mb.I have made PDF's before and it is easy, but this is frustrating now. I have even uninstalled Corel and re-installed. Changed PDF generating programs too. I am now using Nitro Reader.

If I enable the welcome screen it asks me what I want to open but if I disable it all I get is a grey area and I have to go to the drop down file menu ans select 'new page'.

I have a custom palette set on two machines. If I save a file on one and then open it on the other, the second machine does not recognize the custom colors and leaves the object blank. I can click on the palette and correct this but can I set it so that the colors will load correctly when I open the files.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I'm working on a website layout this morning with parts and pieces all over my artboard. I zoom out to 25% and everything on my artboard disappears. It's still there, just not visible. I did a little tinkering and it turns out the 27% and below has this effect.

when I create a new blank document, it size always become multiply of 10 (example Page size A4 = 2100mm x 2970mm) and in the document, when I draw a new object, it will automatical multiply with 10, too. I'm using Windows 7, and I never seen this problem before, when I using Windows XP!
When I try and publish a image or document to PDF it produces a blank PDF document.
I have tried using Bullzip PDF printer but that also produced a blank PDF.
It's concerning the font SF Movie Poster
Two machines, both with XP, Corel Draw X3 13.0.0.576 and SF Movie Poster installed - BUT two different outputs.
Both Corels open the file and the characters with SF Movie Poster (I checked it by clicking in the words)

The first machine shows the number one as The other machine shows it like 1
I am new to Corel Draw. How do I arc font? I have a customer that wants some writting arced above her logo and below her logo. The only way I know how is to creat a circle and "Fit Text To Path". But then I can't seem to delete the circle without erasing the writting as well.
