A friend of mine using CS3 is unable to display TV safe lines when the NTSC DV 720x480 (with guides) option is selected in the preset drop menu for a new file. Any suggestions?
I'm running CS and have had no problems viewing TV safe guides.
A client I'm doing a site for right now is having a hard time understanding that there are only so many fonts that can be used on a website for text. She doesn't like Arial, and wants something that draws more attention. But I don't want to go to a serif font either.
I really don't know the complete list of 'standard', web-safe fonts. Anyone able to help me out here? Maybe I will find something more to taste if I know what will show up.
Mackbookpro will only start in safe mode for now, and have to make a few things in ps immediately. Have full ps function in safe mode except I can't save my files. Ps quits unexpectedly upon saving anything in any format.
I use PS CS2 alot to make adds for my company that goes into business magazines. Cometimes the content is rather "heavy", and over time i've developed a style which focuses more on function and communicating a msg, than on design (engineers love this).
Now I've found out what file format most of the guys who prints the magazines likes (Press qual PDF with crop marks and sometimes bleeds), but lately when I "safe as" from PS, my image size is not preserved in the PDF!
No matter if I do custom settings or use the defaults. Today im working on a 80mm x 125mm, 300pix/cm (pixel dimensions are 2400x3750) add for a magazine. When I safe as Press Quality PDF, I end up with a PDF, scaled down 3-4 times in size.
Needles to say, im baffled. I've done this countless times, and cant figure out whats wrong.
I've made a dump with the image settings for the PS image, and directly after an export, in Acrobat. See for yourself (note, 1" is approx. 2.5 cm, so the PDF image is approx 3.15x4.93 cm).
I just made a multilayered logo for a website. I forgot to make sure that the colors were web safe on the first couple of layers. Is there a way to go through and make sure they are safe or is there a way to make the entire image websafe in one step?
I have a windows xp pro,and the file viewer in xp want open a crw file.Is there some other way to burn a raw file,or do I need to get a CD burner software.
Being a 3D modeler, I want to texture my safe in GIMP. However, I have no idea how to go about texturing that dial like bit where you turn the handle, complete with numbers.
I want a lines going out from the center, lots of lines, and some numbers along a circular path.
Is there a way to hide/show title safe area in Illustrator?I know I can turn it on or off using the artboard options, but for ease of workflow I'd like to be able to switch it on/off as I can do using 'Cmd :' for guides?
I know I can show/hide video rulers and I have mapped this as a keyboard shortcut... but can't find any way to do the same with title/action safe?
How do you toggle safe zones in video mode? (broadcast safe zones)
I am new to using Ai. I mostly used it for vectorizing and creating strokes and shape paths. Now i am trying to use it to improve the look of my Ae comps.
I took D700 and D800e with me and planned on saving to portable HDs. I/3 of files could not be saved in LR4, they had ? on each 'slide' location. I bought Nikon NX2 and images came off CF cards fine and were saved to HD. But, when tried to load those files to LR4, the same thing happened... "?" all over again.
3-4 new Lexar Pro CFs and 2 different cameras... Whats up?
As soon as I start up AutoCAD 2013 or 2012 64-bit, it loads all the way through and I get an error message:
FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0000 Exception at 0h
I have uninstalled and reinstalled AutoCAD multiple times, followed the clean install instructions.
I have run as administrator, run in compatability for XP and 7, run with the onboard graphics, run with my nVidia card, and have had no results. Boot in Safe Mode, no changes. Disabled my Antivirus when installing, and when running, no difference. Installed SP1, no difference.
how can i have a preview of the area that is going to be rendered in the model window? (this command in 3d studio is SHIFT+F, for the ones that know what i'm talking about..)
so this is the point, I have to make a bunch of images all from the same spot and with the same framing, but doesn't matter, even if I save the views, the rendered image is always different. (this mostly because
I'm using multiple computers, so it's enough that the machine has a different screen resolution or that autocad on a different machine has a different user interface, to make the render completely different.... I'd solve it using always the same computer, but it's part of the request from my new boss)...
if I set up a camera to have a proportioned view? it looks that the camera preview window is totally random.
My laptop died. I have photos in LR that I didn't export. I have the hard drive from the crashed laptop connected to another computer. Where are the photos located in that hard drive?
I have found that with windows 7 64 bit (not sure about other versions) when inventor 2012 pro is installed, it causes windows safe mode to reboot at logon screen after like 3-4 seconds. I have found the cause to be a window service that it inventor installs called "Autodesk Moldflow Inventor Tool Suite Integration 2012 Job Manager". I disable this service via "msconfig" tool and windows safe mode works ok.
how do I make straight lines? Horizontal Lines? Vertical Lines? Curvs? I read many tutorials and i am afraid that I am doing it the wrong way, my way is to drag a guide to where i want the line to be at and trace the guide with the brush tool...
With better picture quality and higher resolution the norm for monitors these days (even most "older" monitors still alive are pretty good), is 72dpi still the "web safe" resolution for web graphics? Or can that be "upped" a bit?
way to make a CAD drafted plan look like it was drawn by hand? Or is there a way to use a photoshop brush to draw a line that looks like the pressure was varied along the length of the line, giving it some artistic character?
I've heard of people using Illustrator for this type of thing, but all I have is photoshop. I'm on a quest to make CAD drawings look hand-drawn.
With all of you fine teachers, I have the know-how to get the start and end values of a line.
Do you think there is a way to get a point returned that represents the true intersection of the two lines, without having to involke a user defined "getpoint" function using "intersect" osnap?
i am doing a simple project making a survey plot for a piece of land that will be broken into subdivision. all measurements are of my starting point. after plotting the starting point i try to draw line that is 113 feet long and at a bearing of N 5d W i have no problem entering this data but when i hit enter it draws a straight line. now i know 5 degrees is much of an angle so i thought maybe it just looked straight and tried to plot the next point which was 542 feet from the last point at a bearing of N 39d E but once again after i put the info in and hit enter or space it would plot a line of the proper length but vertical, not the proper angle i need it at. here is how i would put in the info:
first i choose the lne command and choose my "beginning point" as that starting point for my line then i type 113<N 5d W for the length and direction and hit enter. when i do this it plots a vertical line of the proper length but wrong angle. what am i doing wrong? i have ortho set to off and idk what else to mess with
