View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased VS X6 Ultimate. I had been using X4 Pro. I chose the full install not the upgrade version of the software.
While using X4 for a while, the program would not burn a BluRay or AVCHD disk in Dolby 5.1 no matter what settings I chose. It would only burn in "Stereo". VS X4 DID burn these disks in Dolby 5.1 for a long time then it just stopped. I always selected Dolby 5.1 from tools or settings menu at the top of the program (I forget which one as I am not at the computer I use for VS). Also when burning my disk I select Dolby Digital 3/2 and 448kps.
When the disk was played back in my BluRay player, it only showed two channel stereo.
Then I upgraded to X6 Ultimate and the same thing happens! Yesterday I burned a short 16 min video consisting of mostly still photos, some HD video, and music tracks and transitions. I made all the "correct" selections to produce in Dolby 5.1 and the disk, when played in my BluRay player is again in Stereo. I have tried other disks to ensure my BluRAy player and home entertainment system is not faulty. The system readily shows Dolby 5.1 and 7.1 for studio produced disks.
-----> Strange thing is when burning a standard DVD, it burns in 5.1!<-----
I would like to know if the "Creating Disk" step in the new VS x4 includes a better burn program than Factory Pro 2010 or Movie Factory 7SE. In Corel website, I didn't find anything about this issue among the features list.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using the free trial version of Videostudio X5 and have 3 video files I am trying to burn to a BD-R disk. The files are H.264 and when I preview it before burning, the menu I created works fine. One of the three files is large, over 9gb. When I burn the disk, the large video file is not burning correctly. When I go into that file from the menu, it just loops back to the first menu item. I tried burning just the large file to a BD-R and it worked fine. The total project size is around 17 gb so I'm under the 25 gb limit. I think the next thing I'll try is breaking the large video file into two files. I'd like to buy the software if I can get past this glitch.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to burn a non-HD project onto a Blu-Ray Disk and every time after the video/audio stage I get the "unspecified error" message. I have now wasted 6 Blu-ray disks trying to solve this problem. I have reloaded the software and uploaded the patch. I have checked and all my drivers are up to date.
Files are not corrupted as I have checked. I have even tried this on a 16 second video and it fails. I can burn it to DVD but the quality is poor. I have tried reducing the speed to the lowest setting at 4X. It is writing to the BD-R as mentioned but the content is not recognized. If I write it to a Blu-ray file it appears to work.
Is there a way to burn a disk of multiple images with your logo on each image?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWindows 7, had everything working fine. Added SSD and installed system from scratch on SSD. Old drive is now my second drive.
Trying to put the scratch disk on the second (old) drive to reduce wear on the SSD. But every time I do, I get the disk error message and it erases all my settings (so annoying!)
I figure it's a permissions thing since I've had to deal with that already to some degree, but I don't know how to fix it since I don't know where adobe is trying to save the scratch file.

A client I'm doing a site for right now is having a hard time understanding that there are only so many fonts that can be used on a website for text. She doesn't like Arial, and wants something that draws more attention. But I don't want to go to a serif font either.
I really don't know the complete list of 'standard', web-safe fonts. Anyone able to help me out here? Maybe I will find something more to taste if I know what will show up.
Mackbookpro will only start in safe mode for now, and have to make a few things in ps immediately. Have full ps function in safe mode except I can't save my files. Ps quits unexpectedly upon saving anything in any format.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI use PS CS2 alot to make adds for my company that goes into business magazines. Cometimes the content is rather "heavy", and over time i've developed a style which focuses more on function and communicating a msg, than on design (engineers love this).
Now I've found out what file format most of the guys who prints the magazines likes (Press qual PDF with crop marks and sometimes bleeds), but lately when I "safe as" from PS, my image size is not preserved in the PDF!
No matter if I do custom settings or use the defaults. Today im working on a 80mm x 125mm, 300pix/cm (pixel dimensions are 2400x3750) add for a magazine. When I safe as Press Quality PDF, I end up with a PDF, scaled down 3-4 times in size.
Needles to say, im baffled. I've done this countless times, and cant figure out whats wrong.
I've made a dump with the image settings for the PS image, and directly after an export, in Acrobat. See for yourself (note, 1" is approx. 2.5 cm, so the PDF image is approx 3.15x4.93 cm).
I have come across and scanned in some old dye transfer negatives (red, green, blue). Is there any way to combine these images in CS5 so as to recreate what would have resulted from the original dye transfer printing?

I'm working on scanning some old mounted slides using a Canoscan 900F. I'm scanning them in as high resolution as I can and saving as .tiff. The file sizes are around 80 mb with dimensions in the vicinity of 6432x4352. I'm using Windows 7 and the scans looks good when I review them in the photo gallery, but when I open them in CS6 and look at the size, it's showing the actual size of the negative. I can change the view so I can see a bigger picture, but when I try to print it, it wants to print at the small size. I'm thinking I'm just missing something. How can I take the scanned slides and set them up so I can print larger prints. I would really like to do a couple as 8 x 10 for a Christmas present. What am I doing wrong?
I just made a multilayered logo for a website. I forgot to make sure that the colors were web safe on the first couple of layers. Is there a way to go through and make sure they are safe or is there a way to make the entire image websafe in one step?

Years ago, in high school, I took several hundred B&W photos over the course of a few years. I still have all the negatives. Is it possible to get them converted to hi-res JPEGs for a more preferable (to me) storage? If so, where is a good place to get this done?
I'm using Elements 10, I can't get Photoshop to scan in my B&W negatives. The just won't open in Elements10 at all. Why?
View 21 Replies View RelatedI'm having a high resolution image (above 100 dpi) changing it's color settings after submitted to the web.
The image looks fine on the Desktop - and if saved using "Save for web..." dialogue the colors remains as deserved on the web as well.

I use Photoshop CS4 and I shoot and edit my pictures in Adobe RGB 1998.
P.S. If I open Adobe RGB psd file and assign color profile to sRGB it changes to how my non-web-safe images look when uploaded to the web.
I'm working on a textbook that's a mix of new images and pickups from the previous edition. I've noticed that many of the new images I've created with transparent backgrounds and saved as PSD files in CMYK mode display as negatives in Bridge.
I just now made some edits to a legacy file that was displaying properly in Bridge. I added some layers, deleted other layers, and saved the file with no color profile, and as soon as it refreshed in Bridge, it was a color negative.
what's going on here? I'm using Photoshop and Bridge CS5.1 on a Mac running OS 10.8.4.
I would like to know how to scan negatives using my Epson V750 Pro. Previous Photoshop directly connected me to my 750 scanner. Only option on CS6 is images from device. Once I have scanned it is coming up in preview. I want it to come up as a psd.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI tried following Scott Kelby's instructions for color correcting digital images in PSE 10. I was entering the values he gave for the R,G and Blue channels. I got off track and probably missed a step. Anyway, now when I try any of the auto correction features, my images look like film negatives and not like a regular digital image. How can I re-enable the auto correction features (levels, color correction, etc.) ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a way to scan directly into PSE 10 with my negative scanner. Maybe a plug-in? I know it's unlikely that there's something to convert the image to positive etc but I'd rather spend time doing that than use the bundled software with the scanner (SilverFast). However, currently Get From Scanner gives me "Film Scanner" which either previews and scans black negs or doesn't work at all without Silverfast installed. Seems the only way to set it up as a TWAIN scanner (yep, got TWAIN plug-in) is to use a seperate piece of software like silverfast which is then launched to get the scan. Got correct and up-to-date drivers properly installed.
