How do you toggle safe zones in video mode? (broadcast safe zones)
I am new to using Ai. I mostly used it for vectorizing and creating strokes and shape paths. Now i am trying to use it to improve the look of my Ae comps.
trying to set up a TV safe zone with an image for a project he is doing.
Is it possible to do it withoin photoshop. He is convinced he can do it. But is getting very frustrated that he cannot remember how.
how can i have a preview of the area that is going to be rendered in the model window? (this command in 3d studio is SHIFT+F, for the ones that know what i'm talking about..)
so this is the point, I have to make a bunch of images all from the same spot and with the same framing, but doesn't matter, even if I save the views, the rendered image is always different. (this mostly because
I'm using multiple computers, so it's enough that the machine has a different screen resolution or that autocad on a different machine has a different user interface, to make the render completely different.... I'd solve it using always the same computer, but it's part of the request from my new boss)...
if I set up a camera to have a proportioned view? it looks that the camera preview window is totally random.
I have an action with a number of items to do prior to releasing/proofing a file to print. I can record overprint preview using insert menu item, but this toggles to on or off depedning on what the last.

View 7 Replies View RelatedAs soon as I start up AutoCAD 2013 or 2012 64-bit, it loads all the way through and I get an error message:
FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0000 Exception at 0h
I have uninstalled and reinstalled AutoCAD multiple times, followed the clean install instructions.
I have run as administrator, run in compatability for XP and 7, run with the onboard graphics, run with my nVidia card, and have had no results. Boot in Safe Mode, no changes. Disabled my Antivirus when installing, and when running, no difference. Installed SP1, no difference.
I have found that with windows 7 64 bit (not sure about other versions) when inventor 2012 pro is installed, it causes windows safe mode to reboot at logon screen after like 3-4 seconds. I have found the cause to be a window service that it inventor installs called "Autodesk Moldflow Inventor Tool Suite Integration 2012 Job Manager". I disable this service via "msconfig" tool and windows safe mode works ok.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been running into a frustrating limitation with certain keyboard shotcuts for Nitrous display modes. For example, if I try to use my old 2011 shortcut for "Viewport Box Mode Toggle", the bounding box displays on TOP of the current shaded/wire mode instead of toggling. If I change the assignment to the new Nitrous command "Viewport Visual Style Bounding Box", it is no longer a TOGGLE key and to go back I must then use the key assigned to "Viewport Visual Style Wireframes/Shaded" (or classic "Wireframe/Smooth+Highlights Toggle")...
BUT...
In Nitrous both of these wire/shaded toggle commands do not work properly if you are changing from another display type (such as box). Instead of toggling between wire/shaded, they toggle between wire and the last display mode. So in essence there is no way to toggle between Box and Shaded without r-clicking on the viewport label every time you want to return to shaded mode as far as I can tell. Not being able to quickly toggle Box mode really screws up my work flow, so for now I'm reverting back to DirectX.
When in vertex, edge or poly mode, usually I was able to switch between them by pressing number 1,2,3,4,5. What also was useful, is if for instance I press the same number twice, then I would exit the sub mode. This was very useful. Now in this version this option is disabled by default, similar to the zoom extense all, but I was able to changed this in the UI settings.

So in Photoshop, i load a channel selection, turn into "quick mask mode" and then press "Option + n", but nothing happens.If i try with "Command+Option+n", i open the window for a new document.I have tried ALL combination of keys but nothing worked.I have also tried to change the keyboard input to Britain, Usa, etc but it still doesn't work.

The big problem with CAT. 3dsmax 2012 64-bit. Problems have appeared after installation SP1. I adjust a skeleton. In Link Info In Setup Mode I activate Animation Controller and Additive To Setup Pose. Then I create an Absolute Layer and activate Setup/Animation Mode Toggle. The bone departs not clearly where.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm primarily an illustrator user, but my office has several people with ISOdraw backgrounds. Part of our job is making line drawings with just a couple of different line weights, and apparently in ISOdraw you can set two line weights and quickly toggle between them while you're working somehow, and the lack of something similar in illustrator frustrates them. To make things easier for me i made a little graphic style library with the relevant line weights in it so i can click between them, which works fine for me, but in ISOdraw it's supposedly more intuitive somehow and they want to know if there is any way of doing something comparable, but I'm at a loss as to what else we could do. Maybe there's a keyboard shortcut for switching graphic styles, or some other shortcut i never noticed?

It seems that there's more padding around the lock/visibility icon, and you have to be really precise to click it... increasing the row size doesn't really make any difference, as the "padding" is still there. Wheres in the earlier versions clicking anywhere within the toggle box would enable/disable it.
Apart from hiding or locking component layers/objects, is there another way to toggle the feature that moves artwork with the artboard when one performs transformations on artboards? I once experienced a session on the mac (AI CS6) where my artwork was not moving when my artboard was (this despite the layer being printable, unlocked and displaying correctly)
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to use the AddBorder method to add a custom Border to a sheet. As I see in the end, the newly added border does not have the zone parameteres set - the result 0 horizontal zones/0 vertical zones.
If I use the add border functionality that Inventor provides, the zones are not null.
I tried to find a way to specify these parameteres, but I found that they can be specified only on DefaultBorder.
I'm currently plotting a site plan with different zones highlighted in a solid hatch. Each zone has a different colour and all zones are slightly transparent so i can see the site plan underneath.
The problem is that when transparency box is ticked , the site plan becomes more faded.Is there a way where I can use the transparency tool but keep the original line weights of the site plan.
When I set the number of zones for borders to 'zero' and label to 'non'e then it's not possible to get it back.
I can change the parameters but the border stays empty.

The thing is that I want to replace borders (and titleblock) The DRTWizard doesn't let me change the default borders into my own borders.
I've found a tool for this from Rene J and it does changes the borders but the zones are coming up empty.

I frequently used the ctrl key shortcut in illustrator on a PC to temporarily use the selection tool last used. This still works in CC, but I used to be able to toggle selection tools by keeping ctrl held down as before and then toggle selection tools (selection tool - black arrow, and direct selection tool - white arrow) by tapping the shift key. The tool description in the very bottom of the window shows "toggle selection" when I do this, but the toggle selection tool doesn't actually occur.

A client wants me to add flooring zones to a few sets but I cannot get them to print in color. I assume I do this from my pen assignment but I cannot figure out what colors they are to change them.
I do my zones by using Home>"under build" space>from the properties I click Zone 0-15>polygon and then I trace the rooms. Then it fills the room with a preassigned color. How Can i figure out what colors they are using so I can edit my pen setting or is there an easier way to print zones in color and the rest in B&W?
Using VS X2, There is only black screen when editing sample file or any other video. All load correctly and can be viewed as individual clips but only black screen when playing "project" . Have re-installed program (repair) - no change.

jdi2: Please give us an option to start video playback automatically when browsing through files in loupe and fullscreen mode (without having to press "space" or such). Let us switch this option on or off just as needed.
Video playback is still a bit laggy. Often LR5.2 needs to load audio first while the video already starts playing. If other (even freeware) media browsers can do this without latency, why not Adobe's LR?
If I have project properties set to anything but the default, I am unable to scrub through a clip when in clip mode if the clip has the second icon indicator, as shown in the screen grab below. This second icon (double diagonal frames) does not appear immediately. Before it appears, I can scrub in clip mode, but after it appears, I cannot. What that icon represents? My video files are from Canon HV20 (m2t 1440x1080) and my project properties match them.
I have a suspision that it has something to do with proxy files, and that once the proxy file is made, I lose clip scrubbing.
I just tried turning off smart proxy, and wouldn't you know it, I can scrub in clip mode.
I restarted X4 and clip scrubbing is fine. I enabled Smart Proxy, and clip scrubbing doesn't work again.
In X5 (not in X4) when double-clicking on a thumbnail in the Organizer pallet, the BLACK control panel at the bottom appears, but the image is either Not There, or the entire screen is a Scrambled Mess! Sometimes (like in the morning after boot-up) it's ok, but other times (like in the evening) there is dysfunction and corruption. I'm wondering if X5 has a memory leak or problem? as I got a Blue Screen last night.
