View 1 RepliesI am using the COM SDK.
Most of the objects have a Matrix which is going to store the objects rotations, flips, etc.
Many objects that I see appear to have a translation that takes it to somewhere around 7,000 - 9,000, but it's not constant.
What is this matrix in relation to?
From what point is it translated from?
When I set the matrix to the "identity" matrix, all the items are flipped upside down. Why?
I have a photo of a yellow car that I want to use but the hood is black. I used the ink dropper on the color pallet and then painted over the hood, but it's dull. The color is right but you can tell that it's not natural. A way that I can add a "shine" to it to make it look more natural?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using -color-matrix on a bunch of images to change colour temperature slightly:
convert -quality 94 -color-matrix "1.0 0 0 0 0.975 0 0 0 0.95" x.jpg y.jpg
Problem is, in sky areas, this causes patchy colours and banding issues. However, and this is the strange part, if I convert to TIFF (even using JPEG compression), and then apply the colour matrix, I don't get these issues.
BUT, even wierder, if I then try to convert the fine-looking TIFF image to JPEG again (even with -quality 100), I get these patchy colours again.
This is with GIMP 2.6.12 on a Fedora Linux system.
if i could create a photo of me & her together and so i did. the problem now is it looks fake..i find it pretty obvious that my pix has just been pasted. i had tried adjusting it colors, adding noise filter, adjusting its contrast & brightness, it's size but i can't seem to make it look natural.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am not getting any nice blending from the edges of the car to the background. When selecting I use 1 pix feather, but I still get jagged edges. Is there a way of make the edges look more blended in with background?
I changed the color of the car, added a carbon fibre pattern ect, ect.
I have this picture of the sky (wooooooooo). I figured out how to make the blue more vibrant using 'Selective Color'. But I cannot figure out how to make the clouds have more detail. My end production comes out rather flat.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe man I work for wants a demo cover for a CD. He is wearing a red flannel shirt (it is suppose to be funny/outdoors type cover). The expression he has and every other thing is just perfect but I want to replace the plaid with a color and /or another pattern(such as a dark blue denim). Is it possible to do so without losing the lines/folds of the shirt? I know I can play with the hue/saturation but that still leaves me with the horrible plaid pattern.

What is the best way to alter photos in PS Elements 11 that were taken with a vivid setting in camera? The colors are overly saturated and too bright.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI made a animated matrix, it doesn't look like the matrix effect more the movies and wondering if I could make it look more realistc.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have done it exactly how it says
filter/texture/grain/verticle intensity = 100 contrast = 100(it says set both to 100, but setting them both to fifty looked more like the video?)
Then filter/artistic/neon glow size = 5 glow = 20
I have an aleatory number of squared pictures (ex: 4x4 of 6x6, or 10x10, etc) that may change everytime.
These files together become a "big picture".
What I want is an action to photoshop make a collage respecting the number of rows and collumns.
So, row 1 would have: Picture 1.png in collum 1; picture 2.png in collum 2 than row 2 would have: picture 3.png in collum 1; picture 4.png in collum 2
How can I do that?
Can I make an action that if I settle the matrix size, photoshop can take all the pictures from one folder and fulfill that matrix?
Is it possible to create an interface that has two different animations on it?
The problem is one of them works on a three frame loop. The other I thought I would create a continuous scrolling effect like you find on those Matrix Effect animation tutorials.
However, I don't know anything about animation and I don't know the limits of ImageReady.
1. Get a picture of a car (or something else), and a picture of some matrix code.
2. cut out the car using the magnetic lasso and paste it on as a new layer on the picture of the matrix code.
3. Go to image, adjustments, Hue/Saturation., and adjust it so it looks like the color of you code.
4.Copy a large square chunck of code and place it on a new layer.
5. The go to Edit, Define Pattern, and call it matrix.
6.now go to your car layer and click a part of the picture other than the car and ckick on it with the magic wand tool. Then right click on that same spot and click on select inverse, then copy it.
7. Now drag this layer over the layer of the matrix code and erase around it until it fits in nicely with the rest of the code. (don't erase too much.) Then press control+E to merge the two layers into one.
8. Duplicate the green car layer twice, and set all three car layers mode to vivid light.
9.Then mess with the Hue/Saturation menu until you car blends in nicely.
(Optional part which I did on the picture posted here)
10. Press the print screen button and copy and the paste image you get into a new image. Then use the magic wand tool on the car from your original image and copy and paste it on top of the new matrix car on a new layer.
11. Then while the lines are on the car you pasted, go to the car that is already there and copy and paste it onto a new layer. Then delete the first car you pasted in.
12. Mess with the Hue/Saturation on the car layer until it blends in with the matrix coding even better.
i have loads of underwater photos of a ship wreck (plan View) and would like to be able to join them together in a matrix about 12 x 12 photo. It would be great if when tring to position a photo you could see through it so allowing you to drop it on the photo below easly.
View 1 Replies View Relatedhow to achieve the styling that the matrix font has using other fonts? i know that there's a downloadable version of the actual font Miltown (and a Miltown II as an alternate version), but what i'd like to do is take a source font (presumably the font that Miltown started from) and give it the random offset/winded line effect that the matrix font has. once i know how to do this for at least one font i'd be able to apply this effect to other objects (not just text objects).
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've tried a couple of blends, thru layers, but I can't get it right! I want to put a face into a matrix background, with the falling matrix blended into the face, and the face sticking out from the screen (3D like effect)...

I often work with Civil Engineers and I use line work from Civil programs such as 3D Civil and Bentley MX. These programs give me splines (see image 1). I trace over the lines to create poly surfaces which may end up being grass or concrete etc (see image 2)
I don't use the terrain command because the command is not always suitable. The lines I import often have gaps or other issues thats why I find it faster to trace over the lines to create my poly surfaces.
But if you look at image 2 it's very blocky. I would like to smooth between these surface to make the terrain look more natural. I have played with turbosmooth and meshsmooth but sometimes they screw up the surface or don't work at all.
How I could make my surfaces more natural and less blocky.
I obviously got far enough to add the images together and get the correct size. I just cant find any tutorials to show me how to make the layers blend and look more natural. I added a new background to an image and I want it to look like it belongs there:

I do cartoons and I want to be able to use the pen tool, brush tool and/or even blob brush tool to draw. I'm trying to draw a straight line that has a varied stroke width, so it looks like it's drawn with a felt tip marker or maybe a pencil. The natural random/varied stroke width is what I'm looking for.
I see the "vaiable width profile" drop down box in the tool bar but I only see one option that looks like this (it says "width profile 2" when I mouse over it). Although this varies in width, it's too consistent and doesn't look natural at all. Is there a way to get a varied stroke width for straight lines? I have a pen talet and have tried pen pressure as well but I've not found an easy way to do this.

The source photos are all different sizes. Is there a faster/easier method of producing something like this rather than resizing every image to fit a predefined size and then manually placing them on separate layers?
I've been trying to figure out how to add a matrix syle bullet trail to an image. In case you guys havn't seen the matrix its a trail coming from the bullet that distorts everything it passes in front of.I notice this effect can be achieved by using the ghost trails plug-in for 3d studio max, but that takes a LOT of work and i was just wondering if any of you know to do this in photoshop maybe using the displace filter or something. If anybody knows how to do this it would be great if you could post a tutorial or just something to point me in the right direction.

i would be interested on being able to do this effect on video.
I was recently trying to find the normal depth in a natural channel to use as an outfall water surface elevation in SSA. I double checked the normal depth calculations using the Express Add-On in Civil 3D. I found that while the normal depths correlated closely for channels with a single roughness coefficient, they varied considerably if a composite roughness coefficient was used for the left and right overbanks. This leads me to believe that composite roughnesses are being calculated incorrectly in SSA. I would like to use SSA for floodplain analysis, but am unwilling to do so until I have confidence in the calculations.
