Photoshop :: How To Create A Silo For A Product On Website With Natural Shadow
Oct 7, 2013
I have 15 images that are shot on a white background and need to create a silo that has a transparent background but includes a natural shadow. I'd also like to create an action for it.

I wish to use a shadow on my web site headings but even after using the HTMLtext (names) tag, after publishing, I cannot find the heading as text, obviously converted to an image.
Is there a way to do this i.e. have a shadow but still read the heading as text in the page view source?

I do cartoons and I want to be able to use the pen tool, brush tool and/or even blob brush tool to draw. I'm trying to draw a straight line that has a varied stroke width, so it looks like it's drawn with a felt tip marker or maybe a pencil. The natural random/varied stroke width is what I'm looking for.
I see the "vaiable width profile" drop down box in the tool bar but I only see one option that looks like this (it says "width profile 2" when I mouse over it). Although this varies in width, it's too consistent and doesn't look natural at all. Is there a way to get a varied stroke width for straight lines? I have a pen talet and have tried pen pressure as well but I've not found an easy way to do this.

What I'm trying to accomplish is a way to create a kit (assembly of loose parts) that will be used in more than one product model. Each top level assembly (product model) will require the parts to be constrained in different locations but all of the components in the kit will remain the same.
Is the iAssembly tool the right tool to use for this?

Thought I might upgrade my PS to CC under the discount for existing owners scheme However, it won't accept that I have a suitible product despite having CS5 on my system. It is not on my products list. Six others are just not my PS products.
Put in serial number - says it is already registered - I know that - just not associated with me I guess. Deactived PS and tried again - same.

To update serial number it's in the abot dialog box. But how about product key? Is there a way to change it without reinstalling the product?
Situation: Autodesk Revit MEP Suite 2013 to Autocad MEP 2013.

I use Inventor 2011 SP2. I am working on a project that requires several different itterations of a silo. Ive modeled one silo using a base sketch and a single part that contains multiple solid bodies. From this part I derive multiple components into sub-assemblies. I need a fully functioning BOM that contains sheet metal thickness, extents, etc. My question is - what is the best way to make a second iteration of the silo. Each silo will be slightly different with different size brackets for elevator supports, ladders, fill line brackets, outlets, etc. I know one option is to pattern those solids in my skeleton part that I know will remain constant and derive these into new assemblies but this is tedious. (I wish Inventor 2011 patterned multiple solids!) At least the parts will update and I will not need to apply any constraints in the master assembly. Another option is i-assemblies but this method seems like too much work considering we will never reuse these dwgs... My reluctance to use I-Assemblies may just be me inexperience with this part of Inventor.

I created my site with Website Creator X5, using a predefined style. Now I want to add a single page (e.g. 404.html). This page should have the same design and graphics, but it should not appear in any menu bar or site structure.

I want to use VSx4 to create a custom sized .swf, flash file for a website. I plan to use a free program called Any Video Converter to covert my final VSx4 creation to the .swf as I hope that future versions of VS will have .swf output.
I'll be creating the video using stills with transitions in between.
Now I haven't tried this yet but...
I know how to change the project properties to custom frame sizes which is fine but what should I aim to be creating? I was thinking of an MP4 (H264) file but just wondering if you have other thoughts on what I should create as a video file before converting to .swf
The stills will be j-pegs. No audio will be involved

using Gimp to create a website header that includes image mapping. I figured out how (Filters > Web > Image Map). I just can't figure out how to save it in a format that I can then upload to a Bandcamp website.
I can open a graphic in Gimp that I made in Powerpoint. A second window opens with the same graphic and that is where I add the image mapping. So now how do I save it so that when I upload it the tags are there? Or am I supposed to copy all the tags and then paste that code? I can find the place in Bandcamp where the code gets pasted - but I haven't yet figured out how to copy the code.

I'm trying to create a shadow map and require a 2nd uvw channel to do so.
Using the unwrap modifier to create the map in the 2nd channel is ok, but after collapsing the stack, if I go back and re-open the modifier the 2nd channel UV's haven't been saved.

I'd really like to create an animated shadow cast down on the ocean floor by the waves above. That nice ripply effect where the light peaks through the waves onto the sand below. I need it to animate too, I think that will be very hard.
I can't post links at the moment but a simple Google image search of "stingray ocean floor" should yield some nice examples. I can't actually find any tutorials similar enough to adapt for this purpose. (I'd like to have the light ripples as the transparent part, and the shadows varying shade of grey to black)

at least as far as anything beyond re-sizing and basic stuff goes.
I want to create a shaded area that goes from light to dark (a gradient?), so as to create the effect of a book page (sort of), as in the images on this page: [URL]
I have done something similar in Paint Shop Pro, a long time ago, but the details escape me.
