Apr 23, 2008I have several rectangular images each with a drop shadow. I need to also make thumbnails out of the same images. When I tried reducing the sizes of these images, I got inconsistent results regarding the drop shadows. Sometimes they grew, sometimes they got smaller.
Is there a way to reduce the size of images with drop shadows that keeps the shadows looking the same (relatively) as the original size?

Mar 24, 2009I think that patience is my main problem, but i have tried several different ways to chage a background from a portrait sess that i did for a friend.
Have tried adjustment layers then masked back the people, ok but not perfect. played with opacity while doing this and hardness of the brush.
Tried all the erazer tools, selection tolls, well nearly everything, and am still not happy with result. As i mentioned before it could be just my lack of patience..does a procedure like this take long to do it properly, as im taking about 15 mins with no luck.

Jan 24, 2011The man I work for wants a demo cover for a CD. He is wearing a red flannel shirt (it is suppose to be funny/outdoors type cover). The expression he has and every other thing is just perfect but I want to replace the plaid with a color and /or another pattern(such as a dark blue denim). Is it possible to do so without losing the lines/folds of the shirt? I know I can play with the hue/saturation but that still leaves me with the horrible plaid pattern.

Jan 9, 2013I just downloaded LR4 as a trial. Everything seemed to install just fine, but when I open LR4, the new whites highlights shadows blacks sliders instantly turn back to the old LR3 recovery fill light sliders....I see them for about 3 seconds and they change right before my eyes.

I've had this problem before... where I go to hit a keyboard shortcut and end up in some sort of gray scale mode. I'm not actually in "gray scale" though; I'm still in RGB mode but the image title bar says "blue/8".
I've tried everything I can think of, but now many of my options have been grayed out and I can't select certain menu functions. There was an easy fix with CS4 I found online, but I don't remember what it was and this seems different.

May 14, 2008I've been using Merge to HDR to make 32-bit images the past few days. It all went beautifully until yesterday when all of a sudden Photoshop started to display any newly created images very oddily (extreme gamma/exposure values). I've been able to pinpoint it to the View -> 32-bit Preview Options window, which has very erratic values.
So somehow Photoshop defaulted to very incorrect values for this window. Is there any way to change the default values or reset this menu option?

Jan 23, 2009I am not getting any nice blending from the edges of the car to the background. When selecting I use 1 pix feather, but I still get jagged edges. Is there a way of make the edges look more blended in with background?

I need a thicker drop shadow to surround some text to get more separation between the text and the background.
A brute force method is to duplicate the text, make it thicker, blur it, then put it behind the original text. I'm hoping there's a more convenient way.

Feb 29, 2012I'm sure I'm using the wrong search terms because I can't find any info on this, but Photoshop's new grabber hand scrolling is a wild beast with the image flying off in all directions each time I use the grabber hand.
Is there a setting somewhere to change it back to the old behavior where after you stop scrolling with the grabber hand, the image stops too?
I've tried various combinations of stopping then releasing the spacebar or releasing the spacebar then stopping but no matter what I do, the image goes flying off in the direction I was scrolling.

Mar 28, 2014When opening a document in InDesign CS6 it says the program has stopped and has to close. When I go to open the document again, it says the document might have been damaged.
