What is the best way to alter photos in PS Elements 11 that were taken with a vivid setting in camera? The colors are overly saturated and too bright.

While I knew how to add a frame to my photos in the previous version on PSE, I can't seem to figure out how to do so in the latest version.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI often work with Civil Engineers and I use line work from Civil programs such as 3D Civil and Bentley MX. These programs give me splines (see image 1). I trace over the lines to create poly surfaces which may end up being grass or concrete etc (see image 2)
I don't use the terrain command because the command is not always suitable. The lines I import often have gaps or other issues thats why I find it faster to trace over the lines to create my poly surfaces.
But if you look at image 2 it's very blocky. I would like to smooth between these surface to make the terrain look more natural. I have played with turbosmooth and meshsmooth but sometimes they screw up the surface or don't work at all.
How I could make my surfaces more natural and less blocky.
I obviously got far enough to add the images together and get the correct size. I just cant find any tutorials to show me how to make the layers blend and look more natural. I added a new background to an image and I want it to look like it belongs there:

I have a photo of a yellow car that I want to use but the hood is black. I used the ink dropper on the color pallet and then painted over the hood, but it's dull. The color is right but you can tell that it's not natural. A way that I can add a "shine" to it to make it look more natural?

I want to extend it on the left so I can make it a desktop wallpaper. However, the original photo does not extend far enough to allow me to just crop differently. How can I, using GIMP, fill up the new space so that it looks like the sky that's already there?

I want to put 8 photos side by side and make one photo out of it. With Photoshop Elements "version 7" this could be accomplished by using the menu point "New" --> "Photomerge-Panorama" in the File menu. In the German Photoshop Elements "version 10" which I use now this does not work any more. I consulted already the related manual and the instruction videos in the internet, without success.
Need menu points which I have to choose for my request.
How can I make mini photos? I don't want several of one photo. I want one of several photos and mini photos of components in a photo, such as a face. I'm a very inexperienced Photoshop user.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot delete anything out of PSE11 on my MAC. I get "error deleting media". I tried re-installing PSE. The re-install doesn't ask what you want to do with the current contents like the earlier versions did so I virtually just got a copy of what I already had and still can't delete. My question: How can I wipe PSE off of my computer and reinstall it from scratch? I have backed up everything to external HD?

Before now I have used the Twain interface.If I push the "scan" button on the printer, it says "waiting for PC".If I use the WIA import option, PSE asks which pictures I want to COPY.I copied the Import Export directory from Optional Plugins to Plugins, and selected it in PSE preferences, but the option for Twain does not come up when I select Import.

A friend bought a copy at the same time and she has the plug-in. I have even followed to upgrade to 7.3 but it has still not appeared in my Help>Plug-ins dropdown, nor is it in the Open As file type dropdown?

I have tried the erasrue tool but when I get too close to the edge it is not differentiating between the person and the background - the colours are not hugely different. I have tried different ways of doing it with discontinuous option. on demos, it points to the sampling option but that doesn't seem to be available as an option. I have also tried using the selection tool but it is difficult/impossible for me to accurately capture the body of the person only as it traces elements of the door behind the person.

I can only view photo when 4 or less thumbnails are displayed at a time. When zoomed out to more than 4, photos disappear and hourglass symbol appears.

When I go to FILE and select OPEN and then go to the folder where pictures are stored and then click on the folder nothing appears except the message "No items match your search". I have been using Elements 5 on an XP system and have no trouble selecting the folder, opening it, select the pictures I want to edit and edit them. What am I doing wrong in Elements 11?

But everytime I click a .psd file, it tries to import the file into the Organizer (even if it has already been imported). I would rather start the editor, or the welcome screen.
