Photoshop Elements :: Can't Convert 24bit JPEG Photos To 8bit - PSE11
Apr 27, 2013
I just purchased a copy of Elements and have never used it before. Most of my features (such as layers etc) are grayed out. However, my "covert to 8bit/channel" option is grayed out and I can't work out how to choot in 8-bit or how to covert my 24 bit photos to 8-bit.
I'm trying to edit some scans of some drawings in Photoshop CS3, but I can't edit much. I think it might be a 16 bit TIFF, but I can't change to 8 bit. The option is completely grayed out, along with many others.
I am using Photoshop CS6. I am unable to save a 8bit tiff or psd file as a jpeg. When I choose JPEG format .iff is attached to the file. When I open the same file in CS5 it works correctly. Whichever format I attempt to save as it selects the suffix for the format above. I have downloaded again but no change.
I am using pse9, I resized photos with Perfect Resize and they are now in psd files. I copied them to a flash drive and tried to move them to a converter, but the converter does not recognize them.
In elements 10 i used to be able to convert multiple .nef files to various jpeg resolutions at one time by using "process multiple files" under the file heading. When i try to do this inelements 11, that option is unavailable (unhighlighted). How do i do this?
I am using PSE9 and just put it on our new Mac 10.8.2 from windows 7. It runs fine but things aren't quite the same. On windows if I wanted to covnert a RAW file to jpg and was in the organiser I just clicked on file, save, and selected jpg and could choose mulitple photos easily. On the mac when I am in the organiser and click on file there is no save button....is it hiding. I can do them one at a time when I'm in edit but that is a very long way about doing it. Is there an easy way to select lots of photos in the organizer and convert them to jpg from RAW?
How do I process multiple files and turn them from raw to jpeg. Ive tried and it seems to go through the files but doesnt seem to process them or store them in the selected folder
I have edited certain photos in Photoshop Elements 11 (using the Expert guide for advanced editing techniques)and for some reason, these photos were converted to a psd format.
Now I cannot seem to be able to upload these psd photos to an outside Photo Album provider. all my jpeg photos upload fine but not the psd ones.
Once I have created a product collage using various photos saved on my desktop from the Internet and saved it as a JPEG, is it safe to delete those photos from my computer?
Goal of the task : I need the area of different type of soil. I have an image of these different soil, but I need to create a polygon manualy for each and every one of these. This is to calculate the runoff coefficient of a watershed.
As they are different by their colors (blue = lake, green = forest, etc), I would like to know if it is possible to convert these image to have an polygon usable in autocad, where I can calculate the area of each type of cover.
I am using PSE 10 on a Mac and I would like to export photos from an album as jpeg files to the hard disk. I would like to rename the files so that the first image in the album will have a the album name and index 1, the second image will have the same name and index 2 etc.
My version of Photoshop Elements 9 does not have the option "duotone" in the Image - Mode tab. I've got some grayscale photos I'd like to convert to duotones, but Adobe's instructions all say to choose "duotone" from that tab ... but it's not available.
I finished editing my panorama in adobe photoshop elements 11 and want to add a filter to it, however, the filters are all greyed out. Not only that, but the 8bit/channel option is also greyed out. The picture is RGB/8.
I am trying to reduce the file size on a large number of jpeg photo's for unsertion into Windows Movie Maker. How do I compress the slides in a batch job? Can I do it in Photoshop Elements?
I cannot delete anything out of PSE11 on my MAC. I get "error deleting media". I tried re-installing PSE. The re-install doesn't ask what you want to do with the current contents like the earlier versions did so I virtually just got a copy of what I already had and still can't delete. My question: How can I wipe PSE off of my computer and reinstall it from scratch? I have backed up everything to external HD?
Since I upgraded to PSE11, I am unable to scan from my HP Laserjet 1312. I am running Windows Vista 32bit. Before now I have used the Twain interface. If I push the "scan" button on the printer, it says "waiting for PC".If I use the WIA import option, PSE asks which pictures I want to COPY.I copied the Import Export directory from Optional Plugins to Plugins, and selected it in PSE preferences, but the option for Twain does not come up when I select Import.
