Once I have created a product collage using various photos saved on my desktop from the Internet and saved it as a JPEG, is it safe to delete those photos from my computer?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just deleted hundreds of photos off my desktop from My Pictures, which took about 2 hours, presuming that that process would also delete the photos from the Hard Drive, and thus also at the same time from Photoshop Elements 12( on both Organizer and Editor). Yet all of those photos I’ve just deleted from My Pictures (and again, presumably from the Hard Drive), are still showing up in Elements 12! Why do these photos still show up in Organizer if I’ve deleted them from My Pictures (again, presumably also from the Hard Drive)??

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I mark a thumbnail in Organizer and click the Delete key, I get a new window, where I can click OK to delete it. But if I also want to delete it from my HD, I must first click in the small window and THEN click OK.Constructors who are able to think and not least to imagine the users need, would make three clickables:
Cancel
Delete from album
Delete from album and fro, HD.
Then you need only one click instead of two.
Just a small thing, if you are sorting 400 pictures.
I am using PSE 12. When I delete photos the program is moving automatically to the bottom or top of my catalog rather than staying in place. So if I am deleting photos 1000 - 1005 it will reload at the bottom or top of my catalog. This is a huge annoyance given I have 12K photos. Other times it simply freezes and crashes.

Now I cannot seem to be able to upload these psd photos to an outside Photo Album provider. all my jpeg photos upload fine but not the psd ones.
Is there a way I can reconvert them to jpeg?
Is it possible to use paint.net to combine 3 different jpeg image to create a collage jpeg?

View 3 Replies View RelatedThere was a special offer here with Groupon for printed canvasas, I've stocked up as there were a couple of images I always wanted blown up to +/- A1 size. However, I bought more than I needed. With the couple I have left, my plan is to create a collage of photos from my collection and then have it printed.
My question is, what software package is best for this? We had a professional photo shoot done a couple of months ago, and the photographer used Lightroom when we he was displaying the pictures for us to choose, and I presume that this would also have been used for the editing and creating the collage?
I'm not after anything fancy, just something that is realitvely easy to use, and let's me drag and drop them into a template. photos are all in either 16:9 or 6:4 ratio, and my plan was to have just simple rows of photos going along?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a small business doing canvas stretch pictures. A client of mine has asked me to do a collage of 27 photos and I used Shape Collage to do so. She wanted a collage with all the photos in a regulated format. That is Avg.Angle zero degrees, Max. Angle zero degrees, Offset X zero and Offset Y zero. After creating the collage I saved it as a PSd file. So Far So good. I then opened Gimp 2.8.4 and was quite confused as the latest program appearance is nothing like the tutorials and images on the net. However I was able to open the image of the collage by importing the psd file. I was also able to edit the photos and reposition them according to her wishes. I then saved the file as a psd. She wanted to see a jpeg copy of the collage as she does not have photoshop on her pc. In order to show her I had to flatten the psd and then save it in photoshop to a jpeg format. She now wants me to add one more photo to the existing collage.
How can I do that from the flattened psd?
I'd like to create some simple collages but cannot afford the full-blown Photoshop right now. Will Elements allow me to create collages? If so, is there anything that I won't be able to do that I could do (as it relates to collage work) with the full edition?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI want to create a collage image with numerous large photos, each in it's own layer during editing. In order to fit, all the images need to be scaled down to varying degrees, but when I'm starting out, I'm not sure what scale each image will need to be. With the default, if I shrink them too much then they get pixellated when I try to enlarge them again. Is there a way of enabling gimp to scale each image, but drop this version and reuse the original data on future scale operations (ie a "lossless" scaling operation)?
Currently I'm having to essentially create the collage twice - first time various shrink and expands til all images fit together, then start again but just rescale once to the required size.
I presume I'm correct in thinking there's no record function in GIMP yet, so I can't record my actions to GIMP then just delete redundant steps and replay...
Been a while since I've gotten to play with PS. But I just got PSCS2 and wanted to play with it. And I remembered making a Euro Collage in my PS class (lol, was named Web Graphics using Photoshop 7.0) Anyway, I have lost all my notes and cannot remember what elements I need for a Euro Collage. I do remember a few things, but not everything. I have looked on the web but they don't say what elements comprise a Euro Collage. Or if anyone knows a link I could follow, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Creating a collage based on A4 dimensions works great.
Then restarting windows 8 and starting elements 11 the application crashes every time when creating a collage.
Removed Elements 11 and reinstalling it, then creating a collage works fine .. until i restart windows 8.
In elements 11 it shows 3 sizes for collages. Would like to make a 11x14 collage, can it be done?
