Photoshop Elements :: Printing Tiled Photos To Make Posters?
Jan 30, 2014
I want to print tiled photos to make posters - cannot find the tiling option on the advanced print pop up menu. I use Windows 8 and have an HP 7610 wide format printer.
I have a problem. I am trying to print an image that is 108" x 94" on 36" self adhesive vinyl. This should be easy right? After all it's just three 36" panels 94" long. ... tell that to x 5! I click the print icon, go into layout and from that point onward I am more spectator than print manager.
Everything I do to try to get the image tiled with 3 x tiles and 0 y tiles is futile. The scale of the image keeps changing, why isn't the scale 100%? I preview the print and the number of tiles keeps changing almost with every effort to print three tiles, at times it looks as if x5 wants to print the image in 8 1/2 x 11 tiles!
Do I need a Phd in computer programming to be able to perform this task which seems to on par with creating the universe in 6 days?
I've been using GIMP for a while but it's just recently I've come across this issue as I have to deal with something I've never done before. I have a .gif that I want to tile across the canvas of an image to use as a background. Then I have a normal image I want to show on top of that. The main issue seems to be the tiling, as when I export the whole thing as a gif, it plays each iteration of the gif before going onto the next one. I want to know how I can get them all to play at once.
I'm a new user to PE. How do I export photos for printing by others than that listed in PE? I don't want to use Photoworld - limited print size options, etc.
I am trying to print multiple copies of a passport size photo on one sheet of paper. At the moment Elements organisor is only letting me print one copy per sheet of A4 paper, when I could fit in 20 copies on one page if I knew how. how to fit multiplee copies of a custom size image on one sheet?
New user and have checked all trainng info.... How do I send edited photos from Elements 12 to Costco for printing? Only Shutterfly is offered as option. Or how can I export to "my pictures" or thumb drive?
Using PSE 11 wanted to have 2 images on the screen to compare them.I hit Window > Images > Tile, and all my open images, about 15, were tiled. From there I was stuck. I don't know how to select the 2 images I want to compare, and I don't know how to get back to displaying just 1 image.I hit Window > Images, but there's no option to do anything with the tiled images.I opened the Photo Bin, right clicked on different thumbnails, but "Minimize" wasn't available.I ended up writing down all my open images and closing the program. It would be nice to be able to select what images are to appear simultaneously on the screen, or at least get back to having a single image. As it is, I don't see the use of Window > Images > Tile unless you just want to look at a cluttered screen before closing the program.
I want to put 8 photos side by side and make one photo out of it. With Photoshop Elements "version 7" this could be accomplished by using the menu point "New" --> "Photomerge-Panorama" in the File menu. In the German Photoshop Elements "version 10" which I use now this does not work any more. I consulted already the related manual and the instruction videos in the internet, without success.
Need menu points which I have to choose for my request.
How can I make mini photos? I don't want several of one photo. I want one of several photos and mini photos of components in a photo, such as a face. I'm a very inexperienced Photoshop user.
I used to make a really neat strip of merged images using PSE 4 and its photomerge feature. How can I make a merged group of photos blended and being aligned side by side horizontally like PSE 4 used to do? Using PSE 10?
Can Adobe Elements 11 make edits to photos on the following photo specificiations?

I took several pictures, seven to be exact of a rocket launch at night, thinking that one long exposure might make some sections of the photo too bright. The beach is a little underexposed, but that is OK. how to join them? I thought I would use the first one as the base and basically merge the others after I take out all of the content except the rocket plume/flare, but when I try this, it puts the rocket plume in the middle of the layer and I would have to manually align the rocket trail, but can't seem to do it very easily. I'm only trying to cut and paste, and obvious newbie to elements. I have just upgraded to 12 but still have 9 on my machine if one is any better than the other for doing this type of thing.
I'm working with rather large files (.tif ~1000mmx600mm 300ppi) and i get this problem: My Photoshop is installed in C: drive which has approximately 5Gb of free space.
When i make a few actions with those large .tif files (like move a layer or something) my drive gets full. I loose all the free space in my drive. I have to save my work and restart the image to free up that lost space. I know that if i leave more free space on my drive i'll be able to make more actions, but eventually the drive will fill up again and i'll have to restart the image again.
The thing is that i'm working with a laptop which has a hard drive with a 5000 rpm. What if buy an external hard drive with a 7200 rpm and 500 Gb and connect it to my laptop. Would this improve the performance of working with those large files?
I'm trying to make a poster in photoshop as a X-mas gift for a friend (he's a huge MJ fan) and I was wondering if I need to change any settings or maybe there's some type of rule or guidline I would need to follow.
I have made a poster for a friend, but when printed the writing always comes out a little fuzzy, how do I get around this? I don't think it is a problem with the printer as it is really good, also the image I created was a high resolution. Does anyone else do poster design? How do you manage to get the writing ultra crisp and clear like pro posters?
i have many pictures that i have created on photoshop but not very good quality and resolution so how do i get very high resolution and good quality so that i can make posters like 5 by 5 feet and above.
How can I get photos to print centered on photo paper when using borders? I always end up with a large area on either the right or the bottom, no matter what I do. They print this way even if they show fine in Preview.
I have started learning about editing photos , I want to edit photos for printing only. Therefore I need to know about resizing , however, I have spent weeks , reading and watching videos about this , and they all speak the same editing language without being specifically about what is needed, I mean the rules to follow etc and process that is involved.
For example,of this, resolution and pixel ,dots per inch, they all mention of the name of them, and mention "put photos in a number of of 200 ppi," without given any detailed explanation about why this is so!, when there are so many other numbers from the same category. In order to resize a photo there is needs to be more specific information that is needed about it when photo editing is involved, 'custom' resize photos.
I am changing the size of a bunch of photos from 72 ppi to 300 ppi (for printing in a book). When I change the resolution to 300 ppi, the width and height and file size shoot up of course. I want to keep the high quality - but should I untick the resampling box, or do it with the resampling box ticked - then reduce the size?
