I have made a poster for a friend, but when printed the writing always comes out a little fuzzy, how do I get around this? I don't think it is a problem with the printer as it is really good, also the image I created was a high resolution. Does anyone else do poster design? How do you manage to get the writing ultra crisp and clear like pro posters?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm working with rather large files (.tif ~1000mmx600mm 300ppi) and i get this problem: My Photoshop is installed in C: drive which has approximately
5Gb of free space.
When i make a few actions with those large .tif files (like move a layer or something) my drive gets full. I loose all the free space in my drive. I have to save my work and restart the image to free up that lost space. I know that if i leave more free space on my drive i'll be able to make more actions, but eventually the drive will fill up again and i'll have to restart the image again.
The thing is that i'm working with a laptop which has a hard drive with a
5000 rpm. What if buy an external hard drive with a 7200 rpm and 500 Gb and connect it to my laptop. Would this improve the performance of working with those large files?
I'm trying to make a poster in photoshop as a X-mas gift for a friend (he's a huge MJ fan) and I was wondering if I need to change any settings or maybe there's some type of rule or guidline I would need to follow.

Would I have to change the color modes or DPI.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI created some posters last year and I need to make them again this year. For some reason I'm not able to increase the font size past 1000.
I wrote down the instructions last year. The only thing I can't remember is how I increased the font to 2000. I can get the font size to 1000, but as soon as I increase it nothing shows up on the screen except the blinking cursor.
I'm using Paint.net 3.5.10 build 3.510.4297.28964 on windows 7. I have the image resolution set to 300.
I have also tried this same thing using the latest version of Paint.net on windows 8. I get the same behavior but I can't increase the font size past 900.
The file I created is too large to attach.
I'm trying to design an a4 and a3 poster; and I'm looking for the dimensions to fill in to the canvas sizing tool....
I keep finding the dimensions but I'm confused as to what I am to have the resolution bar/ option set at? I want the posters dpi to be 300 or 400.
Also what size should the file be .mb wise?

I have two images. I want to make one image look as though it is coming out of the other. In the middle of the image. I have an image of a forge. and the other is a saxophone. they are talking about "layer style" / Gradient overlay right? as oposed to adjustment layer gradients or the Gradient tool right?
