I'm a Liverpool Football Club supporter and I'm not going to go into details, but we are making a new supporters group and we need a logo to go with our group.
Had an idea for a logo, take this Soviet badge: Keep the gold around the bottom and sides, have 'The Red Faction' along the bottom, retain the Red star and replace the hammer & sickle with a gold Liverbird. I would need this as a PNG graphical/logo image not simply using the current JPEG and editing it if that makes sense?
Is there a macro/script/deisel that will automatically print a pdf (cute pdf autocad lt 2007) to current plot settings in current drawing directory and give it the current drawing view name and number? Disk space not a problem these days and would save time to have a pdf copy of all drawing tabs readily stored in the directory ready for issue.
Technique that can check the current plotter name for the current tab and assign it to a variable?  i.e. can it be assigned to a variable to check if if equals "myplotter1".  The next step  - is there a technique to change the plotter name to "myplotter2.pc3".
I have partially done the latter part of this in the past using the -plot command line to ASSIGN a  new plotter but I would really like to only run the routine if it really needs to. Â
I have 1 Next button that is used on the timeline. Each position has a pause then a play so there is only 1 button. I need to get the label info so I know where I am so I can save the location of the timeline that the user was at if they exited before they finished the process.
when I browse image files I find that the Photoshop/Adobe logo has been replaced by the Netscape logo. When I attach a file in email the N-scape logo is there by file name/number not Photoshop logo. Anyone know why or have this issue?
I have a .pdf that I want to use in a presentation next week. The problem is, since we last used this .pdf, we have changed our logo. How does one switch out one image out for another?
I use tool presets to select my tools (I never use the brush panel)  After I select a particular brush, and then use it for a few minutes, sometimes I forget the name of the brush preset I'm using, so I got back into the tool presets window to see if it's still highlighted, but it isn't.  I've looked everywhere else to see where I can get the name of the current brush (which was selected via tool presets panel, not brush presets panel), but I can't find it anywhere.
Create a Group, set it to Blend Mode Normal, with an empty Layer inside the Group selected and the Eyedropper Tool set toCurrent & Below try to pick a color from a Layer underneath. I can’t pick up a color from there then.Â
i want to make the curves reall realistic like eletricity u know the bleu color with white in it
so i want the waves to begin at an image as AC current then go tru the text like DC current and again go out of the text as AC current but with the color of electricity
i have an image written on it ALL ELECTRONICS REPAIR now i want the curves go tru the (ALL)
Watch the following animation to see that a new shape created by first drawing a path then hitting the [Shape] button is not creating a shape of the current Foreground color, but rather apparently of the color of the shape layer below it. This seems odd to me:   I don't think it's document-specific, but just to leave nothing to chance, if you want to try to reproduce it, you can download a copy of the file: [URL] ......
I just got the new Canon 70D and I went to photoshop to edit my picture (I just got the cloud version today) and it won't open my files... I went to the help files and does not even support my camera.
Using the "current layer" sampling setting for the eye dropper before I apply any top layer adjustments (adding a top layer with a different blending more or adding an adjustment layer) it works fine. When I use any adjustment layers or any layer that has a blending mode, it affects the way the eyedropper picks color especially when set to current layer. Â For instance, If I paint a new blank layer with random colors, I create a black and white adjustment layer on top of that one, I select the first color layer I go to pick a color using the eye dropper with the current layer sampling set, it picks a grey color (which is wrong). BUT!! if I open up the color picker with the color layer selected it picks the correct color. Now, if I delete the black and white adjustment layer, and I am back to only having the color layer, I then go to pick a color with current layer sampling still set, it chooses a grey color again?!?! There are no more layers on top of the original color layer I painted first, and yet it chooses a grey color? Â I am working on Photoshop CS5 12.1 64bit
when I expand the document window in the client area of the user interface, the window expands completely to cover the whole screen, including the surrounding panels, menus, etc. The only thing shown is the full document window. I'm not sure if this is something that can be configured in the preferences or not. I've tried all the interface settings and nothing works.
I can not find the next step for completing a transparent image (Jpeg file) in Photoshop CS version 10. I remember in the last version you used the magic wand to select areas and then hit help and in the drop down selected convert to transparent image and it would take you through the next step by steps. I can not find this how do I complete this now in the new version?
I have ordered a Mac Pro, but it hasn't shipped from apple. But, there has been talk that there MIGHT be a hardware update to the Mac Pro in the near future, and it might be more cost effective to wait for that. Sitting on a ordered machin e that hasn't shipped yet, I'm having serious second thoughts on whether to cancel, or let the order go through.
It really want/need a new machine, I'm a working web designer and graphic artist that owns my own business, so I'm chained to my Wacom 50-60 hours a week, trying to stay in business. Right now I have a 4 year old pentium machine that I've just had enough of.
So, I ordered the Mac Pro with the following specs
Quad 2.66ghz 5 gigs of ram (added 4gigs to the existing 1) 250gb standard drive, and adding in a few more for scratch disk and storage Dual Nvidia 7300 cards, for up to 4 monitors (I currently will use 3) and the rest of the standard Mac Pro goodies. Cost about $3500
I'm a constant worry-wart and I'm thinking "Man, next month they'll have Octo-core machines with more ram for the same price, and I'll be screwed with this outdated junker macpro!!"
So, with the above specs, will I ever need more power for doing low-res web graphics, Flash design, php/html/css coding in dreamweaver, and designs in illustrator and indesign? And sometimes, all at once?
Or am I dreaming and this machine will ALWAYS be more than enough for web design work. Because in a day or 2, they're going to ship it to me and then it's a done deal.
I wanted a hot-rod. But the mac-forum guys have me all worried that an even better hot-rod is (maybe) just around the corner, and the smart choice is to wait and see what the Mac Pro v.2 looks like, and THEN buy it. Or, maybe I'd wait 6-8 months, they release MPv2, and it's not that huge of a deal and I'm out 6 months of having a decent machine (since I already waited a year... I bought a Mac Pro on the release day and canceled it).
Each time the program saves a file & backs it up it appears to assign to each picture a unique number that isn't on your original picture. This must mean that each picture is somehow linked to the catalog file. Is this correct?  If this is so does this unique number stay with that photo through every version of PSE?  If this number stays unchanged (providing you haven't modified the photo) is the following possible?  I have found an earlier hard drive that has some partial & complete backups from earlier versions of PSE. I know that some but not all pictures on these backups are duplicates of my current catalog & some aren't. What would happen if I just tried to past the older backups into the newer catalog? Would Windows 7 64, bit accept the data but warn you the some pictures are duplicates & allow you to just paste in the pictures that aren't?  Is there any better way to get these older pictures into the current catalog?
Photoshop 13.1.1 x64. Mac Pro 3.33 6-core running OSX 10.6.8, 48Gb RAM. Working on a large-ish .PSD file (650 Mb) and saving to a network drive (a Drobo connected to a server) which is our usual routine and has been for years.  Problem – When I save the document and close it, the saved file (in the correct target location) shows the correct modified time and date stamp but if you open that file up again a lot of work is missing. In this instance, about the last half hours work (since the previous time I saved it). However, if you then go to File > Open Recent and choose the file name, the document opens with all the missing up-to-date work in it.  Clearly, File > Open Recent is opening a temporary document somewhere and not the saved file in the target location.  My concern is why isn't the saved file (with correct modified time and date) up-to-date? Suddenly we are having to double check every PS file we work on and save and that is not practical.
I have used PS CS 5 and 6 for a couple of years and never had a crash until I downloaded the current Camera Raw update. Now it crashes in the middle of every edit session. Can I remove the update, or is there some other fix?
While the Version Sets in my current catalog are collapsed, the version sets in the Catalog on the new computer have all become 'expanded'; this is unacceptable to me, as many of the pairs that are stacked as Version Sets have become separated. While all of the Version Sets are "tagged", it looks as though many of the photos in the expanded sets are without tags. Problem #2 is that the hierarchy of Keyword Tags that I currently use is lost when the Catalog is restored in the new computer's Organizer. I currently use about 500 Keyword Tags, divided into 6 categories (i.e. People, Places, Locations, Events, Other, Bird Species). On the new computer, the tags are alphabetized without being separated into their 6 categories. I currently have close to 30,000 items in my Catalog, and have spent hundreds, perhaps thousands, of hours editing (and saving both the original and edited files as Version Sets), tagging and captioning all of my photos. I followed the instructions previously published in "Photoshop Elements Help" regarding backup to an external hard drive and restoring the files in an empty Organizer on the new computer. I also used the "Save Keyword Tags To File" command before the backup. I do have the intact "current" Catalog on my old computer, complete with tags and captions, collapsed version sets, and a list of Keyword Tags organized in the Hierarchy that has worked best for me.
Cannot open a Photoshop Elements 7.0 file that was created yesterday. It says the file is not compatible with the current version. How can I get it to open?
i am using elements organizer 10 to organize my pictures, about 100.000.  All these pictures are in the location D:/pictures/privat pictures/2001/YYYYMMDD. Each year has a lot of folders oriented by date.  All this pictures are a second time at my backup drive Z:/backup pictures/private pictures/2001/................  After creating a new catalog and start importing all files from D: it takes time till all pictures are imported.  But then the failure happens if i click to any folder in D: i can not see any picture.  If i start import i.e. for one single folder again i get the message" pictures are already imported..."  If i click at a bar in the timeline the pictures are shown and the path tree shows it at location Z....with the path name from D:  I created more catalogs the last time to find a solution.  I use Windows 7 ultimate
I have photoshop 7 and I wish to remove unwanted objects from photos and replace them with the current background. I have tried to use the healing brush tool , and the cloning tool, but I do not have content aware. How can I replace unwanted elements in my photos with the current background using my version of photoshop. The welcome screen to my edition says it is possible?
I have taken some photos today but in the file information the date is shown as '2012' but it should be '2014'. Is there a way to ensure the correct current date is entered automatically?
