I am using a web template and I there is an image in the template. I would like to replace the image but when I select the layer of the image or the image itself, I don't see any properties for the image file name so I can't change that to point to my desired image. How would accomplish it?

However I am still trying to figure out how to insert my image into this template so I can then have photoshop manage the color and print it with my Epson 3800 printer. When I click on the template it says could not complete your request because more than one layer is selected. This what Avery sent in the download. Do I have to do this in layers? I just want to insert the photo and print my images on the postcard templates I bought from Avery.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm designing logos that specificity fit onto a product that is irregular in shape. the final image will be printed on to a decal and placed onto the item.
What I'm looking for is a way to create a template for the product. So that when I bring a image into PS I can see the boundaries of the product so i can shrink the image or erase areas of the product that I don't want printed to.
My product is somewhat shaped like an egg shape.
What I've tried so far is to place a piece of fabric over the product and taped it. Then I've cut around the maximum area that can be printed to. Now I'm thinking of scanning the fabric into PS and using it as a layer. I think this will work but I would prefer if it was just a thin line of the outline.
Many (weaker) programs allow you to drag an image into a template and have it resize to fit into a specific area. Can this be done in CS6? For instance .... if you designed a 4x6 Christmas card template and it had a (place holder?) for a 2x2 photograph, and you dragged an image into this 2x2 area, can it resize automatically to "fill" just that 2x2 area? This would result in some cropping of just the longest dimension, if the image inserted wasn't a square.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've searched for hours for directions on how I can use my 3D template in GIMP. I purchased the template from a stock photo site. It already does have a 3D appearance with proper shadowing etc. I am creating a 3D book cover. So I only want to fit the jpg image I created,. the flat 2-D one, to my blank 3-D book cover template. I also want to add text to the spine of the book, or an image of this text if that's how it's done.
This would be the same process I think with any sort of 3D template and 2D image. For example, some people create boxes and other items in 3D. But I don't need to know how to create the 3D effect. I already have that in the template I purchased. I just need to know how to add my jpeg image to the template so that it fits properly.
I need to make a Template.idw file with my company logo. and i did that by using insert image options. Then i saved it as template file and when i try to use that tempate file for new drawing, it shows a message that the reference file path is not the part of active project. So there is any option availabe like copy image and paste in template in place of insert image with link option?

I've created a template with inventor 2011, where in the template it has the image logo in it. I had insert an image at the specific location. At first, it looks ok when i add it to the sheet. Unfortunately, when i want to plot the drawing the image turn out to be out of scale (it stretch the image on its own). Please see attach for reference...
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have attached the layered image (reducing opacity so you can both template and image). The vendor provided me a flat template, not a path, to do my artwork. As you can see I need to arc the image without distorting to fit a cup template. I am more comfortable in photoshop but I can export to AI if necessary to complete which appears what I need to do via envelope distort from what I keep seeing. However, the template provided is not a path. I tried to trace template shape manually with pen tool and use envelope distort to arc my image to conform but it looked very distorted and no even close to what I was trying to achieve. I tried to do tradition arc warp in photoshop but it still seems to distort proportions.

I take the pics on a white card background, in GIMP I need to basically 'cut out' the product and copy and paste it on to a blank white template. By using a template all my pics should be the same size once uploaded on to my site.
So, basically, I am DETERMINED to learn how to use gradient mesh in 5.1. I tried to do that well-known red pepper exercise (I'll provide the URL if somebody hasn't seen it.) Everything was going fine until I actually tried to use the background jpg of the pepper itself in outline mode as a template. The idea is to pick up the template colors of the pepper and then use them as gradient mesh colors. No matter how I tried to do it, that trick just would not work.
If you are working on a gradient mesh and are using image template as a guide you want to work in outline preview so you can see the underlying art to determine wht you are constructing and also it then allows you to use the eyedropper to sample the color of the actual photo so it can be translated tothe mesh and you can simply switch back to Preview mode to check your progress.
Very handy when working with gradient meshes if you are using and underlying template to translate into art.
That sounds great, but sampling the color of the photo and then actually using it on the gradent mesh points just did not seem to work for me.
I created an attribute of a title block, our company logo is inserted as a raster image within the attribute, I created this dwg file into a dwt file (template) however every time I open a new drawing and insert in the template file in the paperspace tab the attribute comes in but always with the logo?
The frame of the logo shows up with the file path of where is is located.
I have a problem where I am unsure if my upgraded template is incompatible with Revit 2013 or is there something else at play.
If I create a precast stair in default template I get "end with riser" turned on automaticaly. If I copy that stair to my template and create new stair, "end with riser" is turned off and I manually have to adjust stair afterwards.
Problem is "end with riser" is now an instance parameter of stairs and I can't find where to change the default value.
Why is the stair type that works in default template stuffed when copied to my template?

Is there a way to have a template in photoshop cs3? So instead of designing multipages in one psd with each page being a layer folder, you could have one psd as a template for global elements and a psd for each web page - when you updated the template psd, then the global elements in all the other psd's would be updated. I know there is a way to link psd's when placed in Illustrator but I would like to do the same within Photoshop. If this is not possible, what techiques do you use to layout multiple webpages that use global elements and save slice sets for each page?

I have tried editing the text, and although i can do this...the text does not fit on the button and is not of the same style as the other buttons generated from this psd..told you i was brand new.
Secondly, i would actually like to make my own template for 2 sets of buttons ( new websites coming soon) and without a clue and no up to date tutorials i have really hit a brick wall....i don't even know how to change the colour of an existing button let alone start from scratch...

how I try to slice it, PS always create these blank "spacers" image on the right side and bottom of my site template.
Anyone know of a way so that PS won't create them after I save it? even though those spacer don't use up much space, it just clog the html code with all these <TD> and img scr=spacer.gif code.
