Photoshop :: *.psd Button Template -

i have a psd file of a button template. In the first instance i would like to be able to make new buttons from this. I have tried editing the text, and although i can do this...the text does not fit on the button and is not of the same style as the other buttons generated from this psd..told you i was brand new.
Secondly, i would actually like to make my own template for 2 sets of buttons ( new websites coming soon) and without a clue and no up to date tutorials i have really hit a brick wall....i don't even know how to change the colour of an existing button let alone start from scratch...

user of Corel Videostudio pro x5 and gradually getting to grips with the functionality, however I have come to a dead end on one issue. I have edited a video ready for sharing and have gone to create a disc with a menu. I did not want any of the existing menu template so managed to create my own using a photograph as background and adding text I have managed to edit the text to change font etc but when it comes to the navigation buttons I cannot seem to be able to edit the properties. When using customise I can choose the different styles of button but cannot change the colour of the buttons to suit my template colour scheme. For some reason whenever I run a preview the play button always turns out to be pale blue colour. Currently on the create disc function I am selecting DVD for testing purposes instead of burning expensive Blue Ray discs however when finished I will want to burn blue ray discs.

I have a .psd file that was created by someone else for my friends web page. The psd file is the background, logo, and navigational bar for her home page. Each button is a "slice" I think because there are lines around each button on the left side navigational bar (not a true navigational bar just created by buttons) and around the head and body etc. (The lines are blue if that tells you anything - each section is numbered with a little tiny icon that looks a little like the back of an envelope.)
My question - we wanted to change the word on one of the buttons - I did that saved the psd file - no problem. Then I cropped out the button that we had changed. When I saved it to the web (as a jpg) the button looks like a button (a box around it - not a line a raised area that looks like a button.) The other buttons do NOT look like a button (even though the layers are named buttons.)
How can I change it so it looks flat (not button like) like all of the rest of the items on the navigational bar.

I have a problem where I am unsure if my upgraded template is incompatible with Revit 2013 or is there something else at play.
If I create a precast stair in default template I get "end with riser" turned on automaticaly. If I copy that stair to my template and create new stair, "end with riser" is turned off and I manually have to adjust stair afterwards.
Problem is "end with riser" is now an instance parameter of stairs and I can't find where to change the default value.
Why is the stair type that works in default template stuffed when copied to my template?

I am growing increasinly frustrated. I just installed AutoCAD LT 2013 on my laptop. I managed to get everything customized the way I want, except the button icons on my (classic) toolbar are much too small. If I go into the menu and select 'use large icons', they are too huge. My screen resolution DOES NOT need to be changed or adjusted. I went to the help menu to see what I can do, and found that I can go into CUI and adjust the size of the button icons that way, via the button image editor, however there is no 'button image editor' dialog box when I select any given toolbar command.

As default the Wacom pen top button acts as the right button. Is there a way to assign the right button to the bottom button?

I am doing a personal proyect, a DVD of my babyshower son, and i wanna put a link on the menu to watch the pics. My idea is to make a edge in every picture, the thing is that there are 200 pics and is like a pain to do the same thing for each one individually. Is there a way to have a template in photoshop cs3? So instead of designing multipages in one psd with each page being a layer folder, you could have one psd as a template for global elements and a psd for each web page - when you updated the template psd, then the global elements in all the other psd's would be updated. I know there is a way to link psd's when placed in Illustrator but I would like to do the same within Photoshop. If this is not possible, what techiques do you use to layout multiple webpages that use global elements and save slice sets for each page?

out of this skate board Click here but when i use the magic wand tool to highlight all the white areas, it does not select all the white areas, i've tried to save it in other formats to see if that will make a difference but im not havin any luck.
how do you suggest i do this?
what i want to do is to highlight all the white areas and then make that into a mask layer so basically its a template for a skateboard deck design.

Basically, what do you need to know to make somone a logo (or design in general) and how do you get that information? After you get the information how to you continue with the project?

how I try to slice it, PS always create these blank "spacers" image on the right side and bottom of my site template.
Anyone know of a way so that PS won't create them after I save it? even though those spacer don't use up much space, it just clog the html code with all these <TD> and img scr=spacer.gif code.

This is the "oh so" most annoyance in Photoshop I have ever encountered.
Alt + scrollwheel is the greatest tool for zooming in Photoshop!
However, every time you cease zooming and go for the move tool (V) it opens up the View menu at the top of the program window. Every time you go for the full screen mode (F) it opens the file menu. Every time you go for the hand/pan tool (space bar) it opens the program menu at the top of the window. Every time you go for the wand tool (W) it opens the window menu at the top of the program. Every single time. Though there are two ways to overcome it:
1. by quickly pressing ALT once after you finish zooming
2. hitting escape
It is easy to forget to do these and I feel this shouldn't be a problem in the first place, as you can clearly tell. Often times, I hit (F, F) and it opens the File Menu>File Info... since the ALT command has already been activated. [/vent] I just wonder who else has this same problem, and what are your solutions?

ok my firend opend a site and i hooked him up with fly log-go right well then he wanted more so he wants me to make him some buttons on his sight like you know people got dem little squares that you clikc and go to like a page or to there site i was jw how to make one i got the box and i made the pc and stuff but how do i make it so i cna put it on his site and click it and it goes to a page or so that if they click the picture it goes to his home page?

Photoshop displays metadata for images, including Camera Data. The latter can include Owner, but it is not told where that information comes from. It is possible that it comes from a “metadata template” as accessed by the second of the four tabs at the bottom of the Camera Data screen. There is a folder: User>Library>Application Support>Adobe>IMP>Metadata Template, but that latter folder is empty, and (quite naturally) there exists no directions for setting up any metadata template. At least one does not turn up from searching the Adobe website.There are vague hints about the existence of direction (as at URL...), but no specific directions where they are actually likely to be needed.

I'm looking for a solution. The Word, Excel and PDF icons have to be in a 3D wave disappearing to the upper right corner of the image. Like there is a wave beginning at the bottom and then with light curve (or something nice) and then moving to the upper right. I'm using Photoshop CS3.
