I need to make a Template.idw file with my company logo. and i did that by using insert image options. Then i saved it as template file and when i try to use that tempate file for new drawing, it shows a message that the reference file path is not the part of active project. So there is any option availabe like copy image and paste in template in place of insert image with link option?

I was able to turn the background to white. However I am still trying to figure out how to insert my image into this template so I can then have photoshop manage the color and print it with my Epson 3800 printer. When I click on the template it says could not complete your request because more than one layer is selected. This what Avery sent in the download. Do I have to do this in layers? I just want to insert the photo and print my images on the postcard templates I bought from Avery.

The only thing even close has been a user who already knew how to do it and was having a different problem. I am using Inventor 2012 and Excel 2003 and have very little experience with VB. I currently have a family of assemblies, consisting of two parts linked to an Excel spreadsheet to control the various parameters for each variation of the assembly.
I need creating an iLogic rule that will:
Go to a specific tab (I have four different tabs/worksheets) in an Excel spreadsheet.
Make a specfic row of that worksheet the current row based on the part number used to generate the models of the assembly shown in a .dwg.
Use the contents of a cell in that row (text or numeric or a combination of both) to generate a custom iProperty for the .dwg template.
Use the custom iProperties to fill in the title block of the template.

I've created a template with inventor 2011, where in the template it has the image logo in it. I had insert an image at the specific location. At first, it looks ok when i add it to the sheet. Unfortunately, when i want to plot the drawing the image turn out to be out of scale (it stretch the image on its own). Please see attach for reference...
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've created a set of templates, A3, A2, A1 A0 etc.
When I open the .dwt at A0 it is fine, the correct dimensions for A0, everything is how it should be.
Now, when I'm in a drawing and go on the tabs, right click, "From Template", select the A0 template and it opens a new tab as normal.
However, the paper size is correct, A0. But the actual frame with the attributes is very small in the cornet, about 25 times smaller, so I'm thinking units, mm to inches, but all the INSUNITS are set to 6.
I am using Autocad 2012, I made a drawing frame template up in model space, then saved it into the DWT template folder, when I go into Layout and into insert to insert the template it will not show up.
I reloaded the DWT template back into model space and saved it as a DXF and I am able to insert the dxf template in Layout using the insert Block.
I can get the job done by using the dxf template but I would like to be able to insert the DWT template.
Is it possible to insert a second template into a drawing, so you can have two different titleblocks in layout (paperspace)
View 9 Replies View RelatedI want to add our company logos to a few drawings. I added a small thumbnail to the title block a while ago. In the sketch tab, Insert, Image, I can drop in bmp's. However, when I'm trying to ad it directly to the sheet nest to a text box or part view, I don't know how to. If I create a new sketch, the Image icon in the sketch tab is grayed out.

I am attempting to insert an image into a sketch to be used as a decal, but it appears as a blank gray box. I created this image in Photoshop CS5 on my Mac Mountain Lion partition. I am running Inventor 2012 on my Windows 7 64-bit partition.
I appear to only have a problem with that specific image. All other images on my harddrive insert correctly. I have tried multiple file types (.jpg, .png, .gif, etc), but nothing has worked. URL.....It may be necessary to note that the image is white text with a transparent background.
It doesn't decal around the object. I'm trying to make it look like a basketball hoop.

I enclose a screenshot of the project. 'Transform-tools-crop' only cuts in straight lines so I wonder which device I should use which can cut out an odd bespoke shape? I am trying to put in a small company logo so that we can have a drawing template. and whether I 'ATTACH' the image OR 'copy and paste' it does not seem to matter... both seem to bring in the image however save it and try opening on a different machine it simply displays the path o the file which is no longer valid of course... I cannot seem to find the correct import method to embed the image into the actual ACAD drawing.... I know with previous years of ACAD this was possible.

The frame of the logo shows up with the file path of where is is located.

I'm trying to convert an existing VBA routine to a vb.Net dll. One of the functions is inserting and scaling an existing tif image file into a blank AutoCAD 2010 drawing. I've searched and found just a few examples, but they all seem horrifically complicated . Am I missing the simple way of doing this, or is this an example of the seemingly massive learning curve of .Net that is beginning to remind me of my collegiate C class (shudder)?

I cannot insert an ecw image in AutoCAD C3D 2011. Ecw does not appear as a choice when I use Image Insert. I have already downloaded the AutoCAD Raster Design 2011 Object Enabler.

sometimes i like to insert image into a Dwg. In 2012 i use to drag and drop the image from the source folder to autocad screen then i had the insert instructions, scale, position etc.
But i can't drag and drop images anymore in 2013, i have to use _imageattach icon to open the open manager then select an image.
Is there a way to reactivate the drag and drop feature in 2013 ? Must be a Variable to autorise that.
