How do I insert an image(jpg or png) into AutoCAD such that when I e-mail it to others, they can also see the image?
I did it before but i'm not sure what I did to make it "stick". Right now, some images just appear on my PC, but after I send it, they disappear and just show the filename. I used Attach by the way.
The problem is, whenever I insert e.g. a picture or want to create a font, this is as small as a point and each time when opening Photoshop CS6. Is there a way to solve the problem so that's the image a lot more bigger directly?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI scan images to go into my website on a regular basis. I scan them bring them into photoshop, use the marquise tool to move individual images to be corrected and made ready to put in website, then I save them and delete that layer from photoshop. I then go to the next image and when I use the marquise tool the previous image keeps coming on the screen.
I am unable to delete permanently that first image so I can move on to the next image. Then I ran into the problem of not being able to more an image from the clipboard. It isn't highlighted so I can click it. Don't know what to do and I have to resolve this ASAP to keep up with my work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am making a video in Nero Vision 10 and need to cut out the screen of a tv so that I can layer the TV over an image/video so it looks as though it is on the screen. I enclose a screenshot of the project. 'Transform-tools-crop' only cuts in straight lines so I wonder which device I should use which can cut out an odd bespoke shape? You can see in the uploaded image from the project how the image currently cannot fill the frame without covering it.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI want to add our company logos to a few drawings. I added a small thumbnail to the title block a while ago. In the sketch tab, Insert, Image, I can drop in bmp's. However, when I'm trying to ad it directly to the sheet nest to a text box or part view, I don't know how to. If I create a new sketch, the Image icon in the sketch tab is grayed out.

I am trying to put in a small company logo so that we can have a drawing template. and whether I 'ATTACH' the image OR 'copy and paste' it does not seem to matter... both seem to bring in the image however save it and try opening on a different machine it simply displays the path o the file which is no longer valid of course... I cannot seem to find the correct import method to embed the image into the actual ACAD drawing.... I know with previous years of ACAD this was possible.
I need to make a Template.idw file with my company logo. and i did that by using insert image options. Then i saved it as template file and when i try to use that tempate file for new drawing, it shows a message that the reference file path is not the part of active project. So there is any option availabe like copy image and paste in template in place of insert image with link option?

I need to show a logo in the drawing which is embedded (not linked) in the dwg.
I'm trying to convert an existing VBA routine to a vb.Net dll. One of the functions is inserting and scaling an existing tif image file into a blank AutoCAD 2010 drawing. I've searched and found just a few examples, but they all seem horrifically complicated . Am I missing the simple way of doing this, or is this an example of the seemingly massive learning curve of .Net that is beginning to remind me of my collegiate C class (shudder)?

I cannot insert an ecw image in AutoCAD C3D 2011. Ecw does not appear as a choice when I use Image Insert. I have already downloaded the AutoCAD Raster Design 2011 Object Enabler.

I am attempting to insert an image into a sketch to be used as a decal, but it appears as a blank gray box. I created this image in Photoshop CS5 on my Mac Mountain Lion partition. I am running Inventor 2012 on my Windows 7 64-bit partition.
I appear to only have a problem with that specific image. All other images on my harddrive insert correctly. I have tried multiple file types (.jpg, .png, .gif, etc), but nothing has worked. URL.....It may be necessary to note that the image is white text with a transparent background.
sometimes i like to insert image into a Dwg. In 2012 i use to drag and drop the image from the source folder to autocad screen then i had the insert instructions, scale, position etc.
But i can't drag and drop images anymore in 2013, i have to use _imageattach icon to open the open manager then select an image.
Is there a way to reactivate the drag and drop feature in 2013 ? Must be a Variable to autorise that.
It doesn't decal around the object. I'm trying to make it look like a basketball hoop.

I do have a handful of directories that have my image files stored, and I have gone into Options>Files>storage paths>.... and set them per specs.
Is there a way to change the default directory that the dialogue box opens, when I select- Insert>Raster Image ?
I've also gone through all the options under the Option>File tab, and likewise don't see where it'd be set. I even clicked all the plus signs, down to their respective directories, and none of them match.
Inserting an image (sid, tiff, geotiff, etc) using the image insert command in Map 2012, Or Raster2012 causes program to crash. Have reported to Autodeak, no response....

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have limited experience with AutoCAD, I am an ESRI GIS user. So here goes:
We are trying to use map image insert to insert a NAIP photo. The NAIP photo is in UTM meters. The existing AutoCAD Civil dwg is in state plane illinois wf. Everything I have read says all you have to do is go to map image insert, pick the tiff, my correlation source is a world file (.tfw), and BAM, your raster image should show up where it is supposed to. Well, it doesn't work. It appears that AutoCAD is not reprojecting the image to state plane feet. How can I get it to do this?
If we connect to the image, it reprojects it just fine. However, on every pan and zoom it is redrawing. We can't wait for the program to redraw all the time, it's too slow. So if we can figure out how to import it, it's a much faster option.
Another problem: the NAIP has 4 bands and the 4th band is an Alpha Band 1. This makes the image appear faded and white. In ArcMap you can simply uncheck the 4th band so the image looks normal again. Is there a way to do that in AutoCAD Map?

And I store these blocks in a dwg file. Everytime I need to insert some illustrations, I just click the mouse on the current drawing, I want the illustration inserted. These means the following points:
(1) Import the blocks to the current drawing, if the blocks have already been imported, then do nothing.
(2) Specify the insert point by clicking the mouse, and I want the block's insert point to coincide with the mouse clicking point.
