What I would like to know, is: How can I animate rotation of a layer? I want to rotate my layer at an angle and animate it. But when I rotate, the first animation frame is also rotated, resulting in NO animation between the frames.
I'm tying to make an animation from layers in Photoshop 6, but when I use the timeline window, the "convert frames' options as well as other options are greyed. It doesn't grey when I open a video file. I'm tried using JPEG and GIF files as the layers, but am unsure what I'm to do at this point.

It's like that:I have the wolf's mouth as a layer, and I change its perspective to open it more. My problem is that I needed to make an animation of this, so I just needed to keyframe this change of pespective, so that I could generate all the frames to make an animation of the mouth opening!!

I mean that in first frame there is nothing visible and then frame by frame object grows untill it's visible completely. I thougt I could make it by cutting the girder into parts and then "fly" them one by one into position to create the final object. But is there any way to make it smooth, like gradient from nothing to whole?

I am trying to make a slideshow gif animation, varying the delay between the frames... see screenshot. I play the animation in gimp, it works perfectly. But when I save it as a gimp file, the resulting animation blips by with no reference to the delays I specified.

Example would be a rotor of a plane spinning when the plane flies by, or a parameter of a material looping within lets say 15 frames (e.g. UV offset changing in cycles) while the whole walk cycle is 60 frames long. If it is a simple property that has to be changed I could simply key in a multiplied value (in the previous example I could offset the UV by 4.0 so it would loop 4 times) but this wont be a solution for more complex stuff.

How the facial rig has been made but I have this plane which has stubble on it. I want it to be fixed in one location but follow the deformation of the jaw when it moves. I do not want to use plug-ins. It seems nobody uses the Carwheel to any extent. I do not want a simple car rig. I want to use the Carwheel reactor as it was meant to be used. Notice when the land object moves to the left, the blue water kind of ripples and flickers at the edge. Do you know what is happening and how to resolve this? How can I make the edge of the water smooth with no flickering?
The land is a a box with a good number of subdivisions with a displacement map making the height of the land. It is the animated displacement map and textures that make the land look like its moving over to the left. There are no bump maps. The water is just a long flat box with many subD's
I have tried increaing the subD's in both water and land objects , but nothing. The animated displacement map should not be producing such jitteriness like this. The grey scale image for the map is very smooth with soft gradients. I rendered with MR, 1/16 sampling, jitteriness checked,

I have an object with several animation layers. When I clone(copy) it, the new object also has the same animation layers. That should be OK.
The weird thing is, when I start to mess with the animation layers of the second object. If I disable, lets say, layer02 on the second object, it affects(disables) layer02 on the first one. Somehow the objects are connected through the animation layers.
Is this the normal behavior of the animation layers? And if it is, how can I make two separate copies of the animated objects?
Is there a way to take an image, and make an animation of it rotating 360 degrees?
I've never looked into batch processing with GIMP, but I would be willing to. This is for a video game sprite.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to make a mobile app overview and I want to add a little "tapping" animation a whole bunch of times for parts where a button is tapped and so forth. I made an animation of a circle scaling quickly to show the tapping.
The only way I can think of doing this is painstakingly mapping out its position keyframes for the different times in the timeline along with setting hundreds of keyframes for the scale. Is there a way I can just animate it once and then just insert it on various parts of the timeline?
