Sep 2, 2013I have 2 or more extruded shapes in a 3D scene, the trash can is grayed out and each object has what looks like a small padlock on it and I can't delete anything .

I've made instances of this particular object, so I would like to see this child with every instanciated objects in my scene.

Mar 13, 2011"xref object blow up max on loading scene" thats all I can add only into the scene I have a CAT rig, some cylinders with skin,cloth,ffd modyficators. After importing and xref object i close max. Then, when I am trying to open max with xrefobject i get an error. I unchecked the "automatic update" option, with to effect- still max cant open the scene and gimme an error.

Apr 16, 2012I am using AutoCAD 2008 and I have a layer that contains no objects which I cannot delete. If I try I am told there are objects on the layer but I cannot find any at all. I have turned off all other layers to try to find the object I need to delete but there is none. How to manage to get rid of the layer.

Oct 24, 2012A customer brought me some DWG plans, five files' worth. He wants pricing on cutting it out of wood. The cutting part won't take long, but fixing the file will. I could see that there were multiple lines because some lines were thicker.When I select one of the thicker lines and delete it, it's gone. So I knew there wasn't a second line below it. Then I tried Ctrl-K, to break apart the curve. Wow, some of the lines had 23 copies! So I would hold Ctrl, de-select one of the lines, then hit the Delete key to erase the other 22. This will take a lot of time to clean up like this. Do you know of an easier way to remove these excess curves?

Oct 17, 2013When I render a 3D scene in Photoshop CS6, is the GPU of my system of any use? Whenever I render any 3D scene in PS, I have noticed that the GPU stays idle, it does nothing, everything seems to be done by the CPU. Is it supposed to be this way?
OpenGL _is_ correctly enabled in PS and I have just one video card in my system (GTX660 Ti 3GB).

Jun 22, 2012When i try to delete a file from LR using the delete from disk option the file does not so up in my trash. I have deleted 200 bad files and the never showed up in the trash. I have been trying to clear up some disk space but the available disk still shows the same so I know they haven't been deleted. Am using Lion on a MacBook Pro 15 and am fully updated. Am I doing something wrong?

Feb 9, 2013I have LR 4.3, Camera Raw 7.3
Until yesterday I was able to delete pictures, using the contextual menu or the delete key. I got the message asking me if I wanted to delete them from disk or from the catalog.
But now, that popup message doesn't appear. The picture is not removed, just nothing happens.
I checked the logs and this is the error message:
performCommandDesc could not perform command ag.library.expandAllStacks (Command was disabled.).
I uninstalled LR moving it to the trash. Then I deleted the com.adobe.Lightroom4.plist and I also removed the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom.
I rebbooted the machine and installed it again. But the issue is still there, with the same error message.
I verified the disk and checked file permissions.
I also tried to use another catalog from a backup.
Nothing, same error.
One anusual thing that I did before the error was to install the "HDRsoft Merge to 32-bit HDR Plug-in for Lightroom - Version 1.0"
I removed it but the error was still there. After the re-install I didnd't install that plug-in again so if it was the problem, it shouldn't be after the clean installation that I did again.

I know the setup for an individual object but when I go to set it up for each one they keep generating their own ground plane and the end result is no where close to where I want them. It's vital for this project I'm working on and I can't find any guide for the 3D features in the extended edition that is free.

Sep 29, 2012I recently bought Photoshop CS6. Previously, I used Photoshop Elements 10. One nice feature of PSE was the Photo merge Scene Cleaner that Photoshop CS6 doesn't seem to offer.
What is the best or simplest way of achieving the same (i.e. blending two images and removing an object from one of the images) in Photoshop CS6?
My first try was to load the photos into a stack and let Photoshop arrange the layers and then use layer masks to hide the unwanted object from the image. However, I found the result less convincing (without investing more time in fine-tuning the result) than with the easy-to-use Photo merge Scene Clear assistant in PSE 10. Maybe it was just this particular set of images (one issue I noticed is that the stacking script did not compensate for vignetting in the images leading to hard transitions between the two photos).
