If u have ever seen those spray painted galls , plz post a tutorial on how to do that. I mean any mag out there has some form of softening or spray painting going on, especially womens health mags... Are there tools u have to buy? Im more interested in finding out how to do it from scratch.

I like this painting with texture technique stuff. Have worked (and learned) alot on this one, so I am maybe to close to judge the quality of it.
Cant explain to you the process except I used a texture for crocodile skin, a texture for lizard skin and a lot of different brushes and sizes as well as 5 layers.
I still dont have a handle on the differances between all the brush modes like overlay, linear burn, color dodge etc.....
I'm trying to automate the process of scanning a bunch old public domain magazines. When I try to create an Action to automate the process of the following mouse clicks:

File > Import > WIA Support
Click START button on WIA Support screen
Choose which device I want to use [flatbed scanner] > Click OK
Choose Custom Settings > Click PREVIEW

the Action stops at the very first step above (File > Import > WIA Support).

Maybe Actions aren't the best way to go about automating this entire process. If there is a better way this can be done how do I go about it? I want the macro / Action to stop at the last step above because I often need to adjust the portion of the page that I actually want scanned so I need to do the final step manually (actually scanning the page once I'm satisfied with the preview).
So I guess my question is for those of you who are experienced with re-touching or image editing, so here goes I have some images and im trying to tell if they have been edited in as far as being able to know with some degee of certainty if in fact the image has been altered.
I guess Im asking for some tips/hints on what to look for and if there is any tell tale signs of editing that would indicate that yes the image has been altered, now I know that there is no way to restore the images to thier originl content but if I could tell if the images have been edited that would be good enough in this case..
We are looking for a workflow example of developing casting models into machining models.
Typically our castings are made from different materials (Fig-1) and then machining (Fig-2) are created from these castings.
Is creating the casting as an iPart (with different materials) and then deriving the machining from the casting the proper method?
Doing it this way seems to force us into making a machining for each casting material instead of just one machining that is an iPart. How should this be set-up for BOM purposes and for use with Vault (Base Version)?

I have the standard dell color profile set in windows for the monitor.
Whenever I save "for web and devices" I get a color difference between the actual webpage colour and the colours in the picture. So I searched about color profiles and I gather (I find this profiling thing very confusing) that I should set my photoshop profile also to the dell profile. So I did, but there now still is a slight difference.
For example, the color I use in photoshop is #12141A and once saved it shows up as #13151B
i have pictures due on the 7th this month. The only thing that bothers me in my picture is that I have a slight shadow out of my face (on my right). I have never used Ohotoshop so I dont know how to remove it. I have photoshop 7. I am attaching my pic and I would GREATLY appreciate if someone could list the steps i need to do to fix the picture. My girlfriend's picture is the same .. so Ill need to know the steps
Also if I could maybe lighten up the background ...
I have been trying to use a downloaded action that makes text glow like neon. Everytime I play the actions, it tell me that airbrush is not available. I have the text selected, the brush choosen, and airbrush turned on before I hit play.

View 2 Replies View Relatedairbrush banding, as well as gradient banding? I have my brush set to transfer, pen pressure and smoothing. It seems when I try to lay down a smooth gradient with the airbrush I get this banding effect. If I brush over the same stroke there's a dark spot that forms like a bullet eye that gets bigger and bigger. It's the same with gradients.

I have tried various settings in Lightroom to brighten it up enough to see the moon and the building in the foreground but the pictures just come out to grainy and a slight purple look. what i can do for this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedCan someone tell me how to change the direction of the pen tilt so that it sprays the right direction? I have an airbrush from Wacom, and the spray goes in the opposite direction from the tilt. It does the same thing if I use the Wacom brushes as well.

Ive heard great things about the airbrush.. It's one of the most popular tools for shading and highlighting images, and is used in nice background wallpapers located at Spoono.com ..... Im wondering how do you use the airbrush to make effective highlights..? What is the key to mastering it? View 4 Replies View RelatedI do a lot of montage work in PSCS and have recently been using my Wacom tablet and boy do I love it, but have a question for those of you who use tablets.
When I'm doing a montage I use very soft brushes to merge the edges. With my Intuos pen, even though I use a large soft brush setting (same as the one I use with a mouse) I get very pen like lines, so I always end up switching to the mouse. Do I need to do something with either the pen settings or the way I use it, or should I be getting an "airbrush" for this kind of work.
I am using CS5 64bit and am unable to locate the airbrush tool. Where is it located assuming it exists in CS5?

Why is this?

I see the settings for controlling ganularity, distortion, spatter, etc., and the stylus tilt angle seems to control "distortion".

The cursor "spray" outline seems to change shape as when the stylus hovers over the tablet. But there appears to be less control when stylus contacts tablet.

i design and print t-shirts and use photoshop for all my designs. a customer recently asked me to print a photo of her son on a shirt..but she wanted the image to look like it was airbrushed onto the shirt. ive looked around but havent had any luck finding tutorial on the subject.

I can only use AE CC. Usually i make my edit in Premiere and then i use the same timeline in AE to do postproduction. If i uninstall AE CC can i be able to copy/paste my timeline in AE CS6 from Premiere CC?
I can't install Premiere CS6 because i use an MXO2 card.I can run AE,Photoshop and Encore CS6 with CC apps on the same machine,but not Premiere CC and Premiere CS6 at the same time.
In Graphics Editing software like Photoshop you can rotate an image ever so slightly to the left or to the right. I'm trying to super-impose a png of a head onto something and I would like to match the angle of the original head.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an HV 40 and take the video off with Hd Split.I put 30 minutes of video in the time line and then want to break it up to 8 -9 minute segments. I tried using the scissors to cut each segment and then delete what I don't want and share - output - mpg optimizer. That gave me five files. The first one is fantastic, what you would expect. The rest all have a jump or stutter at the beginning. Just for one second of play, the rest is great.
So I thought I must be doing something wrong, and then started over with multi-trim. I cut the five segments out using that and the same thing. I thought I would live with it. So then I converted all the clips to MP4 HD. Just to reduce file size and make easier to upload. Now the thing I was going to live with looks twice as bad. It went from being almost unnoticeable to a major glitch. Rest of video plays great and you can hardly tell any quality difference between it and the original.
So then I started playing around with cutting off the front 1.5 seconds of the clip and that seems to actually work. To get rid of it. But it is more work and I don't think professional.
Then I read something about fade ins so I tried that. I took the original first cut of the second segment and put it into the overlay track and used the little fade in slider in the preview window, to have a slight black fade into the clip. This covers up the jitter but the entire clip is now noticeably degraded. I mean it looks lousy!I went straight to mp4 this time, instead of making the fade and then using the optimizer to go to the same format and then convert.
So now I am a bit discouraged. I have a fast six core computer am using the latest corel x4 pro and it seems that things are not going to go very well. Simply cutting the video to make edits results in jitter at the start of each cut clip and messing with a fade in just ruins the quality. What to do?

BTW going from the mpg to the mp4 reduces the size by about half which makes up load reasonable, but still an all night affair.
I'm tryin to create an an elliptical wall. 6" Thick.It needs to go from 48" at one end and lower to 36" as it sweeps around the ellipse. (It's only an arc of the ellipse and not completely closed).
