Photoshop :: Airbrush CS6 - Appears To Be Less Control When Stylus Contacts Tablet?
Oct 16, 2012
User guide states: "Customize Brush Tip Shape options like Granularity, Spatter, Hardness, and Distortion controls. With a stylus, alter the spread of sprayed strokes by changing pen pressure."
I see the settings for controlling ganularity, distortion, spatter, etc., and the stylus tilt angle seems to control "distortion".
Â
The cursor "spray" outline seems to change shape as when the stylus hovers over the tablet. But there appears to be less control when stylus contacts tablet.
Â
I used traditional airbrushes for years. There are some interesting emulations here, but a better description

I installed Photoshop 6 on a HP tablet computer and when I try to get photoshop to respond with pen size and preasure to the preasure I use to apply my stylus to the screen it acts like I'm using a mouse. I have a Wacom stylus pad and Photoshop can respond to preasure sensitivity, with the Wacom. How can I get Photoshop to recognize my HP tablet stylus?

I'm having a problem with my Wacom tablet. The stylus tool works fine (gradients, pen, paint) except for the erase tool - it won't erase to full transparency when I select the erase tool then drag my stylus. This is weird, since the actual eraser end of the stylus works fine: I just hate using that end of the tool, and much prefer using the stylus' pointed end to do all my work.

I'm having a weird resolution problem with TRUE VIEW and AUTOCAD 2012.
I'm using Windows 7 ultimate 32 bits, i have a graphics card with 1900 x 1200 resolution.
As you can see below, the upper horizontal control pannel appears too big by comparaison with the workplace, and it's resolution is too poor.
The same thing happens with True view 2012.

When I use the share button and try to enter new contacts the program will not save them. So each time I go in and want to send an e-mail I have to go look up the e-mail address and re-enter each time.

When I try to save contacts in either Elements Organizer 10 or 11 in the Contact Book, it saves nothing. After I click the save button and reopen the contact book, anything I entered is gone.
Â
I've tried entering names as I'm preparing to send e-mail, I've tried doing it through Edit>Contact Book..., and even by adding a New Group to the Contact Book before entering new name, none of which work.Â

I currently updated the operating system for my Mac OSX, and I believe this is where the issues are stemming from.
Â
I've been working in CS5 using a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet along with the stylus pen. Recently when I am working in CS5 I've noticed that while using the brush tool the little "dot" tends to dissapear while painting. This also happens if I use a short cut ie. brush tool/command key/eyedropper. The only way for the "dot" to return is either to move the pen around the screen, clicking on things until it reappears OR using the magic mouse, but sometimes this doesn't work either.
Â
I am not very knowledgable in Mac or CS5, and I have tried resetting some of the controls, but nothing seems to be working.

Is anyone using the Epson Stylus Photo 890 with Vista 64 bit? I cannot find drivers or profiles for that combination of OS and Printer. I have searched everywhere on the web.I need drivers or this printer is history ( yes it already is history but still works fine otherwise).

I understand the process of splitting faces and applying a Bonded Contact between the split faces when you have a bolted connection with a nut, but what kind of contacts would you use for say a threaded connection? For example, suppose you have a plate that will be bolted to a mold. The plate has clearnace holes for said bolts and so that the bolts are threaded into the mold to be lifted. The plate has a threaded hole for the lifting mechanism (Swivel Hoist Ring). Finally, the desired load is applied to the Swivel Hoist Ring and the bolts are placed in pre-tension. I would like to simulate this via FEA but am getting tripped up in the contacts. Also I am trying to make it as simple and efficient as possible (by eliminating any bolts or other parts that are not needed). I use INV Pro 2014.Â

I am trying to simulate the following:
I have an 8" OD/5.523" ID steel tube. A 5.5" OD/4.957"ID tube is placed inside. The 8" and 5.5" tubes are placed over a 4.9375"OD shaft. So basically you have a hollow shaft attached to a drive shaft, with a filler tube placed between them to fill the gap. Two 1-1/2" UNC bolts are placed in matching1.531" diameter holes in every component (thru bolted) with a nut. Tightening the nut will tend to flatten the pipes, taking up the clearance between then and creating a contact pressure on the drive shaft. I have having trouble getting all of the contacts correct since the components are not in contact at the beginning of the simulation due to the radial clearances.
Two axial bolt loads of 129,000 lbs will be placed on the tubes. I have used a sliding/no separation contact between the bolt and nut. Then I put a fixed constraint on the bottom face of the nut (not in contact with the tube) and put a 129,000 force on the top of each bolt head to simulate the axial load created by the bolt preload. What type of contact should I use between the tubes that have radial clearance?
I have attached the tubes and drive shaft. The 1-1/2" bolts and nuts (both heavy hex) were found in the library.

When I setup my model for the FEA and hit Automatic Contacts, no contacts are detected .... You can see in the image I posted that Automatic Contacts is greyed out (once applied) and no Contacts are in the the Folder. I have ensured that my assembly contraints are valid and that they are indeed mated (face to face) - see image below. The Manual Contacts will work, but that kind of defeats the purpose of having the Automatic one. I have never altered any options or settings within the Simulation. I am using INV 2013 Pro. Most of the pieces in my assembly are 2x2x0.125 HSS (right out of CC).Â

airbrush banding, as well as gradient banding? I have my brush set to transfer, pen pressure and smoothing. It seems when I try to lay down a smooth gradient with the airbrush I get this banding effect. If I brush over the same stroke there's a dark spot that forms like a bullet eye that gets bigger and bigger. It's the same with gradients.

When I try to print a photo thru Photoshop to Epson stylus photo 2200, I get a meassge: paper out or not loaded correctly. Photoshop will print to another printer and the Epson will print from other appllications such as Word. It seem Photoshop and Epson are not communicating properly. The p[rintilng gliltch followed on the heels of Epson printing several images that were nowhere close to the images in Photoshop. recently, I added somw upadtes — a driver and at least one program update. I un;installed and reinstalled the CS 5, but the problem persists.

Can someone tell me how to change the direction of the pen tilt so that it sprays the right direction? I have an airbrush from Wacom, and the spray goes in the opposite direction from the tilt. It does the same thing if I use the Wacom brushes as well.
I have:
Windows XP
Cintiq 12wx
Airbrush & Grip Pen
Photoshop CS3
Thanks in advance!

Ive heard great things about the airbrush.. It's one of the most popular tools for shading and highlighting images, and is used in nice background wallpapers located at Spoono.com ..... Im wondering how do you use the airbrush to make effective highlights..? What is the key to mastering it? I know practicing and playing around is one way, but Ive spent 20 hours and I cant do anything close to the beautiful images I see

I do a lot of montage work in PSCS and have recently been using my Wacom tablet and boy do I love it, but have a question for those of you who use tablets.
When I'm doing a montage I use very soft brushes to merge the edges. With my Intuos pen, even though I use a large soft brush setting (same as the one I use with a mouse) I get very pen like lines, so I always end up switching to the mouse. Do I need to do something with either the pen settings or the way I use it, or should I be getting an "airbrush" for this kind of work.

After installing photoshop cc on my dell venue 8 pro, the program refuses to register the pressure sensitivity of the active pen display. The device is running windows 8.1 and uses the synaptic pen technology as opposed to wacom. Is there any way for me to force photoshop to either look for the default windows drivers or better yet get proper support for synaptic?
