PS 7. I have looked in the help files and such and I can't seem to find where I can turn off or turn on the stylus for brushes. Prob right under my nose. I know in 6 I had the tabs at the top.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI currently updated the operating system for my Mac OSX, and I believe this is where the issues are stemming from.
I've been working in CS5 using a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet along with the stylus pen. Recently when I am working in CS5 I've noticed that while using the brush tool the little "dot" tends to dissapear while painting. This also happens if I use a short cut ie. brush tool/command key/eyedropper. The only way for the "dot" to return is either to move the pen around the screen, clicking on things until it reappears OR using the magic mouse, but sometimes this doesn't work either.
I am not very knowledgable in Mac or CS5, and I have tried resetting some of the controls, but nothing seems to be working.
I installed Photoshop 6 on a HP tablet computer and when I try to get photoshop to respond with pen size and preasure to the preasure I use to apply my stylus to the screen it acts like I'm using a mouse. I have a Wacom stylus pad and Photoshop can respond to preasure sensitivity, with the Wacom. How can I get Photoshop to recognize my HP tablet stylus?

Although the printer will accommodate lengths up to 55 inches, when I try to print something longer than 30 inches, Photoshop crashes. Epson adives the purchase of RIP software. Photoshop will print to another printer and the Epson will print from other appllications such as Word. It seem Photoshop and Epson are not communicating properly. The p[rintilng gliltch followed on the heels of Epson printing several images that were nowhere close to the images in Photoshop. recently, I added somw upadtes — a driver and at least one program update. I un;installed and reinstalled the CS 5, but the problem persists.

The device is running windows 8.1 and uses the synaptic pen technology as opposed to wacom. Is there any way for me to force photoshop to either look for the default windows drivers or better yet get proper support for synaptic?
View 1 Replies View RelatedUser guide states: "Customize Brush Tip Shape options like Granularity, Spatter, Hardness, and Distortion controls. With a stylus, alter the spread of sprayed strokes by changing pen pressure."
I see the settings for controlling ganularity, distortion, spatter, etc., and the stylus tilt angle seems to control "distortion".
The cursor "spray" outline seems to change shape as when the stylus hovers over the tablet. But there appears to be less control when stylus contacts tablet.

I have recently upgraded my system to Vista 64 and PS CS4 from Windows XP and PS CS3. Now when I print my photos have a severe green cast. I have tried turning off CM at the printer, in PS, both and on in each place and both, nothing seems to work. I have DL'd the paper profiles as well, still doesn't work.

But what is the best way to hold a stylus? I read somewhere that I shouldn't hold it in a scholar manner but it's like any other way doesn't give me access to my stylus buttons.

I recently upgraded to CorelDRAW X5 from X4. I'm having problems printing a landscape page to an Epson Stylus Pro 7880. This is a paper roll feeder. No matter what combination of settings I try it will only print portrait orientation. I had zero problems with X4. I have read as many of the previous forum posts I could find on this issue, so I'll add - I don't have a PPD file and the manufacturer does not either.

The stylus tool works fine (gradients, pen, paint) except for the erase tool - it won't erase to full transparency when I select the erase tool then drag my stylus. This is weird, since the actual eraser end of the stylus works fine: I just hate using that end of the tool, and much prefer using the stylus' pointed end to do all my work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using Lightroom 3.6 and an Epson Stylus Photo R800. This printer is capable of printing very high quality pictures, as I know by using it for almost 5 years. I have bought Lightroom about 6 month ago. I have tried anything I can think off to get those fabulus pictures out of my Epson printer. I alterd color managment settings, changed print resolutions, downloaded new printerdriver, ... Nothing works. Print quality when printing from Lightroom is very poor. Bad colors (dark), stripes over the whole image, it looks like nothing realy. One of the things that I noticed is that the maximum resolution for printing in LR is 720 ppi. My Epson is capable of 1550 ppi. I see a lot of discussion going about print quality with lightroom... I think however this is a more basic problem. My print qualiti is realy very very bad...
Note, When I export a picture to .jpg format (I shoot in RAW only), and print this directly from Windows, I do get the perfect picture a was used to... I cannot believe that Lightroom is unable to do the same.
I don't understand why Lightroom will not send print commands properly to my Epson Stylus Photo 1400, but all I get is error.
Since the printer works with every other program on my computer, including Elements, it must be a Lightroom problem.

I'm printing to an Epson R1800 printer.
Print. Choose Color Management. Choose Document. Choose "Photoshop manages color". Choose the correct printer profile that matches the paper I'm using. Choose Relative Colorimetric.
THEN, I click Print Settings...under the 4th drop downu I choose "Print setting..." again. Under "Basic" "color" and "Color settings" are grayed out as are some of the "Media Type" options.
Is this normal? The problem is my black and white prints are printing really badly. They have color tones. I've cleaned the nozzles on my Epson printer, done everything the print utility suggests. All the test prints look fine.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi recieved a prom pic from my daughter and i was going to print it and frame it, but 2 things happend.
The first one was that when i tried to print it it said it was tooooooo big 40inx60in so i resized it to 8.5x11 and it got very blurry, after about an hour i figured out how to get it sharp again (by accident) and forgot how i did it DOH!!! It was some kind of compairson with 4 of the same photo and resizeing the file from 9.5M to about 400kb and actualy adding some blur.
The next problem is when i printed it, it was so washed out it looked like an old 70's poloroid but on screen it looks great. Now I've read the color settings section but i think i might have set some settings wrong [U]and i don't think i fully understand what i'm reading . I know there are settings to either let photoshop take care of the printing or let the printer.Personaly i think i would like to let photoshop do it that way any email's or photo's i shoot will have a common baseline. The printer i'm using is an hp psc 2410 and the camera is a minolta dimage7i, is this a good camera / printer. I'm in adobe rgb(1998) mode and i think i saw somwhere in the printer software to choose between adobe rgb or the hp printer.Do these have to match.

I’m a long time Photoshop user but recently picked up LR4 to try to fine tune my workflow. I’ve noticed that after importing new files (RAW, I haven’t tried with jpg) into my library as I scroll through them (1-up, not in grid) the preview comes up and then after a second or so the WB changes to a much colder image.
Does LR4 initially preview at specific settings and then change to the individual image settings? Even if so, the final images seem very cool and I feel like I have to up the temp more than I should have to. My previous workflow was to sort in Bridge and then use ACR to import to Photoshop. I feel like I did much less tweaking of my WB this way. I feel like I’m starting from square one with LR4.
Can Photoshop CS6 Camera Raw picture settings be synced with Lightroom 5 picture settings?

The 'brush defenition' turns back to 'basic' and the 'variable width profile' back to 'uniform'. It would save me a lot of time if I could change those standard settings into what I prefer.

What exactly does that mean? This seems to happen every time I export an image to PS (CS5) and return to LR. What exactly has changed? What settings are being imported if I choose 'import settings from disk'.
I installed and, when given a choice of extensions to associate with PSP, I selected all. However, later I changed my mind. Had to uninstall PSP and reinstall. This time, I did not associate .bmp or .jpg files. However, I noticed my .bmp icon had changed a little. Still, it worked OK, so I just let it go. Now, I used IrfanView to save a .bmp pic in .jpg format to My Documents. When I went to view the .jpg file, it has the window icon and I'm given the "Open With" option (have to pick some program to open it). I can't seem to get the .jpg files back to where I can just double-click them to open. **I hope I've explained this OK**
Anyway, since I have a legit copy of PSP 7.0, I can reinstall any time. Right now, it's still uninstalled, but I don't know how to get the .jpg files back to where they used to be.
With some posts they insert a image, the only thing I see is a box with yellow around it and a red x in the middle of box. How do I get to see images that others have posted?
