Using the Navigator, I can enlarge the image, but am only able to view part of the image in the workspace, not the entire thing. When editing, I need to see the entire photo and its edges. I could do this in the earlier versions, but not 10. What am I doing wrong? I am a former user of photoshop 7, elements 8.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'll admit it up front, I'm a way better photographer than a photoshop wizard. I'm attempting to take a gif file of my son's schools mascot, an indian chief, and make it large enough to be digitized & then embroidered onto his new Varsity Jacket. The gif is purple with a translucent background. When I attempt to place it, it gets a white pixelated boarder around the purple art work. Not sure if this is normal. My worry is that when I send it to the folks embroidering it, that they'll enlarge the photo & they'll also get this white nasty boarder & it will turn out awful.
So, I've got 2 problems, we want the Indian chief embroidered in white & it is purple now. When I enlarge the file in purple, it looks great to the 10 inch size file I'm placing it on. However, when I try to change it to white in the 10 inch size, it shows this rough pixelated looking boarder. In fact, no matter what size it is, it always shows this white boarder.
Is there a way to fix this white boarder thingy & also "digitize it into
I attached the GIF file of the Indian

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Elements 10 for the first time and am a true beginner at this. I am trying to add multiple effect onto the beginning of a video. Do I have to render the whole video every time I want to watch what I added to the video? The video is 45 minutes long and I am only working with the first 5 minutes of the video. I am guessing if I cut and remove the 40 other minutes rendering with not take so long but, how do I save the other 40 minutes so I can re-attach it when I am ready to work on it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a cdr file that has a few objects in it with a primary outline. Parts of the design extend outside the primary outline. If I want to select only what is inside that primary outline, how would I do that? If I could draw a multi point shape (such as an octagon) and say select what is inside that octagon that would probably accomplish what I'm looking for. I could provide the file if needed.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Pro X3 with Windows 7. I opened up MPG video I captured from HD Canon camera yesterday, then trimmed it from the original size to get one portion before dragging it down to the video track. It ran very slow that way, so I dumped the project.
Thought if I opened up the original file (11 GB), it would be fine and I could start over but cut it from the video tract rather than the clip, but now the portion I had trimmed is blacked out for video on the original "raw" MPG file but the audio is there. I tried it numerous times. On the thumbnail for this original clip, there is the video icon in the left upper corner but also two little video icons next to that. What did I do wrong? and what do the two extra video icons mean?
When I pull the same original (raw) MPG file up in Windows Live Movie Maker it is fine.
I need to capture a portion of a file path that is in the middle of the entire path.
For example

I just want to capture the 810-050000 part. The portion before that may be different lengths, the Model portion will always be the same.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got a hi-res tiff image (5031x3579 px) which I need to use as a background on a very large print (2500 mm x2500 mm, 300 dpi). I placed the original image in InDesign and had to enlarge it by approx 800% to fit the canvas. Effective dpi ended up at 35dpi. This, no suprise, looks **** when viewed at 50-100%, so I thought maybe it would be better to resize the image in photoshop before placing it in InDesign. Well, I did do that and ended up with an image with a huge filesize (2,5 Gb) before saving it as a tiff again. I noticed that many of the save as options didn't come up, only tiff, Large image format and native PS. I still dont know what the final file size will be... still waiting for it to finish processing.
The method I used for enlargement was: Image size -> resample - bicubic smoother (best for enlargement) - in three steps, 200% up - 200% up - 150% up.
What is the best way using photoshop CS6? I know I will loose quality, but want to minimize the apparent loss the best way.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been photoshopping on and off for about 2 years now, sharing some of my stuff on a prowrestling message board (go figure). My skills (if you can call them that) are fairly limited.
Here's the inquiry I have...
I have a small logo. It's the only logo on the net of it's kind, so if there was a larger one, I'd have it. I need to enlarge it substantially for a t-shirt (for my significant other as an inside joke type gift). However due to the photo being so small, I lose major detail when I enlarge it.... This makes me a sad panda.
However, an aquantance told me that I can still maintain the quality if I make the image a vector then enlarge it. I nodded my head and agreed but truth be told, I've never used vectors before.
I've attached a link to the photo below, and I'm asking anyone for their help. Guiding me through the process of enlarging the photo without losing too much detail or making it lose focus would be cool. If it's a quick process but takes some skill,
I'm wanting to put up some pictures in my "study" that are influencing, read it in a magazine, and I remember these. Looking on the web it seems everyone "wished they'd come up with this ad campaign".
I'd like to enlarge them to A4 size as well, just to put them in glass frames, I don't know how legal this is but I can't find anywhere that sells them on the web, or who actually made them ?
I don't really understand the enlarging process
