My clone tool won't enlarge - it is stuck very very small, no matter how I try and enlarge it. The other tools seem to be stuck as well (looks like a plus sign with a very little circle? in the middle).

View 4 Replies View RelatedPSE 7; When switching from text to say clone stamp, or blur tool I get only a cross hair as opposed to the 'pixel' sized circle to see the dimensions of the work that will be affected. If I log out of Elements completely and then re-enter and go to use the clone tool, the brush 'pixel' circle dimension comes up as normal and works as it should. As soon as I go to text mode and then back to clone stamp or blur tool, I just get the cross hair and no circle dimension 'cue' ! how to go from text to clone and get the circle cue dimension instead of just a cross hair without having to log out of elements each time.

Well, this is not the case since I did define it with command Alt + left mouse click.
Background:Photo Elements 7 is installed in Windows XP Professional SP3. The latter runs as a virtual O/S with Sun VirtualBox on host SuSE Linux 11.1 (Gnome).
I have been using the clone stamp tool for a few weeks without any problems, but a few days ago the outline of the brush disappeared. I can still clone an area and replace the undesired area, however, I can't see the exact area that will be affected because the black circle that showed the brush size is now invisible.

I have the layer with the eye in it active, I choose the clone tool, I hit CTRL and click the area of flesh around the eye I want to copy, I see a moving outline of the flesh that's being copied, It works spiffingly!
